As I got out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and stepped out.
I saw Matteo still laying on my bed which made me roll my eyes.
He's been laying there for a day or so without saying anything.
I looked back at him and he was still grinning like a cat which made me raise a brow.
"Okay, what happened. You've been smiling since you got here"
"Hmm....oh you don't know" I scoffed and turned around.
"If I knew then I wouldn't ask you"
"Since you don't know then.I'm.not.telling.you"
I grabbed a book from the table and threw it to him which he easily caught.
"Heh heh heh"
I scoffed and walked into the closet. I don't have time to deal with this idiot.
Once I dressed up, I came out to see him sitting instead.
"What now"
"You're not curious"
"Nope" I simply said and picked up my jacket.
"Not even a little?"
"If you want to say something then just spit it out"
"Ugh, you're so annoying. Nevermind, go away"
I rolled my eyes and put on my watch.
"Don't forget the meeting"
"What meeting?"
I clenched my fists and turned around.
"The meeting that we discussed 2 hours ago before you started laying down and grinning like an idiot"
"Oh that meeting. Sure, I guess I'll come"
"It's not I guess. You'll have to be there you unreliable piece of shit."

With that, I walked over to the door and opened it to come in contact with someone standing there.
It was the girl from this morning.
I think I've forgotten her name.
"What"
"Umm, I just wanted to...know...if I could um..."
"Spit it out!!" I said impatiently.
"I was just wondering if I could umm get to know you guys more. It's been long since we had vi-"
"What's your name"
"Uh it's Dana"

I said as I walked passed her and down the stairs.
My phone started ringing and I picked it up without looking at the caller.
"Speak"
"Romy, I miss-"
I cut the call then dialed Victor's number.
"Alpha...."
"Is everyone there"
"Yes sir. We're just waiting for the call"
"Hope you didn't tell them we're somewhere far away"
"No sir. Just said that you guys are out for a business trip and you'll be back tomorrow"
"Good"
Who knows what those sneaky bastards are going do if they find out.
Matteo came out of nowhere and started walking beside me.
He was all dress and ready.
I put the phone on speaker and Matteo started to talk.
"How's it going in our absence"
"Everything is stable for now. A lot of people are starting to wonder where you guys are and it's getting out of control cause if news spreads out, we might be in for attacks."
"Reduce the security around the boarders" Matteo said.
"H-how did you know I doubled security"
"I just know you"
"I'm so blessed"
He jokingly said to which Matteo rolled his eyes.
"Seriously Victor that's a dumb move. Since people are starting to get suspicious of our whereabouts, it'll only get worse if you double security. Instead, reduce it even more to tell people that's there's nothing to worry about. Only a fool would step foot inside our pack even if we have no men guarding the area."
"Yes Alpha. Sorry for the trouble"
"Don't worry about it. Just don't make that mistake again."
I looked forward to see Kegan and Brandon coming up the stairs.
I looked at Matteo who doesn't even care. He just has a normal expression on his face.
Once they saw us, I could see the anger and hate in their eyes before the masked it with a fake smile.
"Good fight Alpha Matteo" Kegan said and outstretched his other hand.
"What was so good about the fight. You got beaten up or do you mean to tell me that you enjoy getting beat up?"
We both stopped as they were both directly in front of us, blocking the path.
"No, no. I thought I should show some sportsmanship."
Matteo didn't bother to say anything and Victor started to talk again
"And we caught 6 people lingering around the borders. They don't look like rogues. I think they're looking for a place to stay an-"
"Kill them..." I simply stated which made Kegan and his beta snap their head towards me.
The last thing I want right now are spies so killing them would be the best.
"3 out of the six people are kids"
"How old?"
"6, 3, and 8"
"Kill the adults and throw the kids in the dungeon"
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Kegan suddenly yelled which made me look at him.
"Why are you- they're just kids"
"I suggest you don't butt in. This is my pack I'm talking about. Focus on yours before you try to talk about mine"
"I get it but those are kids looking for a place to stay.... These families"
Matteo sighed and crossed his arms.
"It's something simple that you don't understand."
"And what is it"
"This is a new method that other packs have come up with to spy on us. Since the regular spy technique don't work, they start using kids to make us pity them and take em in which is way more dangerous cause those little things can do what they are told to without being suspected"
"I-i never knew people did that"
"Of course, cause your pack is not worth spying on"

The beta was about to step forward but Kegan stopped him.
"But what if they were a real family"
"Sucks for them if they were"
"Why are you putting the kids in dungeons tho"
"Cause when we go back, we'll question them and whoever is their pack leader, we get rid of him. Simple"
They both looked shocked
"You guys talk about death like it's a casual thing"
"Our Alphas had their first kill at the age of 6. Killing I'd nothing to them" Victor said on the phone.
"You must be the beta" Kegan said.
"Alpha, the meeting is about to start"
He said brushing Kegan off and I smirked.
"We're borrowing the library at the end of the hall" Matteo said and they nodded.
"It may be dusty cause no one goes there anymore"
I nodded and looked at my watch.
"Vic-" suddenly there was a loud crash from the other side of the phone.
"LET ME TALK TO THEM!!"
"for fucks sake" Matteo said with a groan.
"Miss Rosa please respect yourself"
I heard Victor say as he was trying to be nice.
"LET ME TALK TO ROMY AND MATTY. HE HUNG UP ON ME BEFORE CAUSE THERE WAS BAD RECEPTION."
"Miss Rosa-"
"If you don't give me the phone, I will hurt myself"
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
It's the 9th time that she has tried to "hurt herself"
"Is she okay? Who is that?" Kegan said.
"Just someone who escaped from the mental asylum" Matteo mumbled with frustrated sigh.
"Romeo, Matteo. Handle this yourself. Imma just dip"
Victor said and I scoffed. Some kind of beta he is.
"Romy, Matty, are you there?"
I handed Matteo the phone and he unknowingly took it before he glared at me.
"What..."
"I miss you guys"
She said in a low voice which made Matteo glare at me hard.
"Is that so?"
"Mmhmm. I hope there are no girls around you guys cause it there are, then I'll kill them"
I could see Kegan and his beta trying to contain their laughter.
"Yah yah, I'll hang up now" Matteo said but she started yelling.
"DON'T HANG UP. talk to me more"
"Can't. I have a meeting."
"If you don't talk to me then I'll hurt myself"
"Then hurt yourself. Stop bothering me about it" Matteo finally snapped to which there was a long silence on the other end.
"I don't thin-" Kegan wanted to butt in which made Matteo glare at him.
"If you want to talk to her then I'll give you the phone"
"No, No... I just think that you shouldn't treat her like that. She's someone special to you guys, isn't she?"
I don't care if he's injured or not, I landed a big punch to his face which made him stumble back.
"ALPHA!!"
he regained his footing and looked at me.
"Why-"
"I'm special to you guys" we heard her voice from the other side and Matteo just ended the call.
"Look what you did"
Matteo said and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"If she isn't special then why didn't you just tell her so"
"I'm not gonna stand her discussing this with you guys. Let's go" Matteo said and we both walked around them.
It would be a waste of breath if we started to tell her no.
She won't listen.
As we both walked to the library, we noticed the girls sleeping on the couch and I sighed.
"They must've been waiting for me"
"You said they could come"
I nodded and picked Cora up.
Matteo did the same with Hazel and we both carried them into the library.
Like he said it was dusty in her but we cleared some space beforehand so it was easier.
I sat down and positioned Cora on my lap so she was sleeping well then opened the laptop and started the meeting.
Matteo sat down beside me with Hazel sleeping soundly and then we both looked at the camera.
I swear we both look like stay at home fathers.
Once the meeting started, I saw Victor and the rest of the pack Alphas sitting there.
"Alph-" Victor stopped mid sentence when he noticed the girls.
"Are my eyes deceiving me or are you..." He said and started rubbing his eyes.
"For the Lycan blood moon pack alphas to carry kids, means they are special. If you don't mind me asking, who are they?" One of the Alpha's said and everyone went quiet as they waited for our answer.
"Yes, they're not just any kid. They're the future to the Lycan Blood Moon Pack.
They're our daughters"
