Third p.o.v.
As soon as Siviks spotted the rise on the Horizon, he walked trough the house and woke up the rest of the Group. Before he could wake Qrow however, Ruby stopped him, telling him she'll do it herself. True to her word, he woke up.
Once everyone was up, the group immediately headed outside and got to work. Weiss fixed a metal ball to Yangs bike to attach the hanger She and Blake found.
Said hanger was currently being pushed towards the Bike by Siviks.
On the houses porch, Blake and Oscar were arguing about breakfast and going back to sleep, confirming Siviks suspicion. Just before getting the hanger hooked up to the bike, Qrow pit one foot on top of it, causing one of the tires to blow. With a comment from Maria, Qrow sat down near a gate, while Yang slumped done next to the town Well.
Yang: "I'm starting to think the universe doesn't want us getting to Atlas..."
Ruby: "It's just a flat tire, I'm sure there's a spare one."
As the Group continued to argue with Ruby, who seemed the only one to still want to keep going, Siviks noticed something.
Siviks: "Their Eyes...they are so dull, almost lifeless. Ruby would you look at me for a second."
Ruby: "uhmm...sure."
As Ruby looked at Siviks he saw her Eyes weren't dull. They were as lively as usual.
Siviks: "Whatever it is, it's draining their will to go on, but somehow Ruby is either immune, or resistent..."
Soon enough, WBY got in front of Ruby and pestered her to throw the lamp down the Well. Siviks sadly was trapped in his train of thoughts and was only ripped out of it by Ruby screaming.
Ruby: "No no no! I didn't mean to!"
Siviks came up next to her and looked into the Well.
Siviks: "Did you just-"
Ruby: "It was an accident!"
Weiss: "Ruby. ..it's okay..."
Ruby: "No! No there's something down there I saw it! It was looking at me!"
Yang: "hey, it's okay...you just said you were tired. Come on-"
All of them soon after held their ears shut becaus of Siviks screaming to get all their Attention.
Siviks: "Alright, I've had enough! All of you apart from Ruby seem to be affected by something, which is most likely down there, that drains your Will. Now then, you lot fix the trailer, while Ruby and myself will grab the lamp! Understood!?"
The three other girls looked at each other and then back at Siviks.
Yang: "If the lamp is that important we'll go to...'
Siviks: "Whatever, Oscar Your a farm boy, you know how to fix a tire."
Qrow: "fine. Oscar fix the stupid tire, you all get the stupid lamp."
During his monologue, Qrow walked back into the house, shaking his flask. Maria only shook her head.
The group quickly jumped down the Well and landed in what looked like a sewer. However the lamp was nowhere in sight.
Siviks: "Let us follow the water flow."
After a couple of minutes of walking, and after turning of the lights from their scrolls, Blake pointed at the lamp growing around the corner. Ruby of course rushed towards it.
Ruby: "Guys I-"
He sentence was cut short by Ruby starting to scream, which apparently brought the group out of their lifeless state. The girls and Siviks rushed forward, and we're now face to face with a group of long skeletal like Grimm with even longer Arms.
Siviks: "You're the source of it all!
Drawing his Gorgon Pistols, Siviks started firing at the Grimm before him. However to his surprised, his bullets ricochet of their boney plating.
Siviks: "Well, that's new."
As the group started to turn and run, the Grimm let out a ear piercing shriek that rivalled Siviks'.
RWBY and even Siviks felt like their weapons were to heavy to carry now. From behind, Maria ran up to them.
Maria: "Run! NOW!"
That they did, but not until Siviks had a small idea to stall. He pulled one of the modified chain Grenades from his belt, and threw it at the feet of the Grimm, creating a wall of Ice, blocking their Path and buying the group Atleast some time.
Once they were close to the Well they came from, the Grimm shrieked again. Ruby weakly pointed at a hole in the wall next to the group, and they ran through it.
As they continued to run, they came across side tunnels which housed more and more grimm untill they finally entered what looked like a wine cellar with a staircase up along with a door. However inside that basement, was another large group of these Grimm.
As the group made a run for the door, the Grimm shrieked once more, forcing everyone to their knees. Maria pointed out the door, and Ruby tried to get up weiss, however the sound of metal hitting the ground caused Ruby to look and see Blake laying in front of the Grimm.
Blake: "It's fine..."
Just before the claws of the grim could touch Blake, Ruby screamed out and a white light blinded everyone. As soon as the light died down, everyone felt like they were fine once more, and Siviks immediately threw another Ice wall grenade, blocking the grimms entrance for a time. Immediately however, one could hear the beasts clawing at the Ice wall.
Maria: "What just happened?!"
Siviks: "I want to know as well, but we gotta get a move on, the wall won't hold them off for to long!"
Weiss tried opening the door, however it was locked.
Siviks: "Out of my Way!"
Siviks ran towards the staircase, but before he could open the door, the massive group of Grimm let out their shriek again, getting everyone back to their Knees.
Siviks: "No....No I'm one of the... Crimson Brigade's Elites!....I won't disappoint my King!
Trough pure will, Siviks forced himself up to his feet, and busted down the cellar door. Once he ran back down to grab the rest, once again a white light blinded him, and once he could see again, The Grimm were burned to ashes as well as everyone else was back on their feet, sprinting out of the cellar.
Blake: "We're back in the house?!"
To the left of the group, a drunk Qrow was sitting on a barstool.
Ruby: "uncle Qrow! Get up!
Qrow: "Hey get off me. What are you doing?!"
Maria: "We're leaving you idiot'! Come on!"
While Yang and Blake ran out to finish prepping her bike, Siviks decided not to deal with Qrow's bullshit and put him over his shoulder while weiss was setting the cellar on fire.
Qrow: "What do you think you're doing?! Let go of me! What's wrong with you whats-"
Qrow bit his tongue when he saw the burning Grimm slender their way out of the Cellar into the house.
As soon as everyone was on the trailer, Yang speed up as Quickly as possible, only leaving a burning house behind them.
Later, during the Ride, Maria said that the owner of the estate was hemorrhaging money toward the end, and wanted to cut costs by cutting down on huntsman protection. However to do so, he had to keep the townsfolk calm somehow. So after getting a tip from a huntsman about a Grimm. Called "The Apathy" that was living near by with it's pack, Bartleby decided to trap a few of them in the cellar, to keep the town calmer. However before he blew up the entrance to the sewer that eventually lead towards the cellar, he hadn't realized that the pack found their missing pair, and joined them in the cellar. With the amount of Grimm, it was just a matter of time before everyone was to tired to get out of bed.
The group gave up an apology for their behavior, which was accepted by Siviks and Ruby, even though they knew it was the grimms fault, not their own.
In the end Ruby explained to Siviks that the white light they saw was due to her eyes, and Maria revealed she also had those special Eyes.
