"This is hopeless." Britt said to Lily, who was standing next to her watching the team. "I never saw anybody with such a big fear of height. Even I didn't have it as bad as him. I'm out of ideas to help him, I'm sorry."
They've been doing exercises for over two hours now to relieve Jack from his fear, but nothing helped. Now they were just laying on the mat, completely exhausted.
"Well you tried your best and so did they. I'm sure he will be fine by the match." Lily replied.
"I hope so."
The team arrived at Wild Middle School and were quite surprised about what they saw.
"Is this it? It's in the middle of the jungle." Mark said with disbelief.
"W-who are they?" Nelly asked, looking at the weird boys on her car.
"Those are our opponents, they are the Wild Middle School soccer club." Celia replied.
"Those guys? They are barely even human." The coach said with disbelief.
The team walked towards the field and saw the crowd and that made Mark even more excited.
"Look at all those people. Now we have to win for sure!" He said to the others.
"Unfortunately, those people are here not for us. We are the underdogs today, we don't have fans here." Kevin replied
"That's not true. Look over there!" He said while pointing at three boys cheering for them.
"That's my little brother. What is he doing here?" Jack asked himself.
Everyone went on the field and the game started.
The first half had ended and it was still tied, but Kevin was injured. So they needed Jack and Axel to fulfil the Inazuma Drop, otherwise, they weren't able to win.
"Well, that went pretty great don't you think?" Mark asked the team with a smile on his face.
"What are you talking about?" Nathan replied.
"We didn't let a goal in and I'm keeping it that way. So you guys just have to do the Inazuma Drop and to score and we win!"
"Just put me back on the defence or put me on the bench. I can't do the Inazuma Drop, I always screw it up..." Jack said to them.
"Forget it! You're not gonna play as a defender and we're not going to switch you with somebody else. On the contrary, we play the ball to you and Axel all the time. You were so scared of heights, but look at how far you made it already. I don't want to get all that effort wasted like that and I know you can do it."
After that short break, the second half had begun, but Jack still didn't have the confidence to succeed in the Inazuma Drop. Luckily Axel assured him that everyone trusted him to make the winning goal. So that is what they did.
"I told you that you could do it, Jack." Mark shouted at him.
"Hey guys, are you coming to that noodle shop. I mean after such a game we deserve it, right? Especially Jack!" Mark asked Axel, Nathan, Jack and me. We were walking in the shopping district with our regular school uniforms on and our sports bags in our hands.
"Sure, I would like that." Nathan replied while the other two just nodded. "Are you coming to Lily?"
"I can't, sorry. I have to practice some dance routines with some girls."
"Dance routines? Why?" Mark asked, curious.
"You know for the performance at the party for the winners of the tournament."
"But why would you perform?"
"We were asked."
"But who is 'we'?"
"Uuh Chloe, Scarlette, Mia and me. We form a group named "Heart Mix". I told you once about that, remember?'
"No, I didn't know that you're part of that." He chuckled and put a hand on his neck. "But I do know the group. Next time when I hear one of your songs I will pay more attention to it." He said with a smile.
"That sounds good to me." I replied and returned the smile. "Anyway, I have to go now. See you guys tomorrow."
"Alright, see you tomorrow."
