                     ~°~°~°~°~

During my section with Jeremiah at the love garden - okay that came out wrong. I was called to the School's indoor swimming pool. Who even knew this school had an indoor swimming pool?!

The girl that appeared earlier today for a swim practice, turned out to be called Fejiro. She was really pretty, slim and had a really light skin. She stood quietly in front of me, with the other teammates.

I tried to pull off a straight face, but even God, knew I was dying inside.

"Um," I cleared my throat a bit. The girls in front of me, were already in their universal swim suits. I was the only one left in my school uniform. "Why um.... Why don't you do some warm-ups, while I go change."

They complied and started diving into the pool. I left them and moved into what I guess was the changing room. it literally said 'Female's changing room'. Each small lockers were slightly opened, except from one. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that the closed locker, belonged to T.

I moved to the only closed locker and realized it had a combination lock on it. I sighed heavily at my ill luck, before trying what I hoped might be the right combination.

My birthday.

I smiled happily, as the locker opened. Inside was T's swim suit. It was folded neatly, with her swim googles.

I pulled off my school wear and replaced it with her swim wear. Putting on T's swim suit wasn't the problem. Actually not getting into that pool, was the real task ahead. I walked out to see the girls swimming laps.

Fejiro swam towards the edge of the pool, so she could talk to me. She lifted her right hand up, indicating for me to assist her out of the pool. I grasped her hand and pulled her out.

"We did some few laps when you were at the changing room, T." She breathed out. "Do you want us to do anything else? I've got chemistry next period, so I need to cover some training before then."

"Um," I scratched the back of my head as I tried to think of something. It wasn't my fault, I didn't know any swimming terms. So how do I address them? "Why don't you__"

"Why don't you show them some moves?" An irritating voice I knew too well, said behind us.

"I agree, Femi." We all turned to see Femi walking towards us. And guess what, he had teamed up with Rosemary and her two dumb minions.

"Isn't Tatiana the best swimmer?" Femi asked Rosemary, with false interest. "I would love to see some of her moves. Unless maybe," He stopped, to divert his eyes from Rosemary, to look at me. "You ain't Tatiana."

Fejiro leaned towards me and whispered. "I head from few of my classmates, that you've gotten a weirdo in your class. Guess he'll have to be the next topic in the prefect meeting."

Great, she's also a prefect.

The automatic bell rang, saving me in the clutches of Femi and Rosemary.

"Oh that's it," Fejiro sighed. She walked over to the edge of the pool and signalled for the other girls to swim out. "I've got chemistry."

"Yeah, I've got Commerce." Which wasn't a lie by the way. Femi was quiet, cause he knew better than to object.

With the help of Fejiro and I, the other teammates climbed out of the pool. I watched as they all walked over to the changing room, leaving me with Femi, Rosemary and her overly quiet minions.

"You wanna see my swimming techniques? Maybe next time," I smiled widely at them. I knew they were boiling on the inside, which gave me joy by the way. "Try not to be late."

I walked slowly to the locker room. Turned out Mr Luck was on my side today.

                      ~°~°~°~°~

"This assignment would be due on Monday," The commercial teacher announced after the end of her class.

"Jeremiah, Omonigho." The teacher continued, pointing at the class representative and his assistant. "Do be early on Monday to collect the assignment from your mates."

"Yes ma'am," Omonigho said with a smile. The commercial teacher grasped her higher education note and textbook before walking out of the class.

"Lucky Omonigho," Irene smiled at her. "I'm so very sure she'll give you extra mark."

Omonigho said nothing and placed her books inside her backpack. Turned out Omonigho was quite intelligent. But I couldn't ask for her assistant cause apparently, T was supposed to be more intelligent.

"Tatiana," We three turned left, to see Dami standing beside our desk. Dami had a book and a pen in his hands. "Both of us need to discuss some pressing matters."

I once heard from the students that Dami, was the head boy to the school, which was surprising a bit. I actually thought Jeremiah would hold that position. But turned out, Dami was really intelligent and also cared about the people around him. Jeremiah on the other hand, was super intelligent but could care less about his fellow students - well except Dami. Dami was his exception, I guess.

I sighed inwardly and stood up from my seat. Omonigho made way for me to pass through, which I did. I walked side by side with Dami, without uttering a word.

Soon we arrived at a place I never thought I would see myself. The School's library. It was really huge to be frank. It made my old School's library look like that of an ant.

Dami directed me to a secluded area and prompted me to have a seat right across him.

"So....." I dragged awkwardly. "What's the pressing issue?"

Dami placed his note book on the oak like table, then opened to the fifth page. "The swim team's competition is coming next three weeks Friday."

"Yes um..... I knew that." I coughed.

"Turns out the basketball team is also having a competition that same day."

"Okay..." I dragged awkwardly. "Why are you telling me these?"

Dami furrowed his brows at me, before saying. "That's clearly a disaster, Tatiana."

"Okay.... I'm still lost." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.

Dami sighed, leaned back against his chair, to study me a bit. After few seconds of awkward gazing, Dami leaned forward towards me. "We can't have two competition on the same day and at the same time. Some swimmers are equally basketball players.

Oh I get it now.

"Why don't one team move the date, either forward or backward?" I asked. "Which team demanded that date first?"

"Both teams. They literally held a meeting with me and the head boy of Greenville High, to book the date." He sighed tirelessly, as if feeling exhausted.

"Both the boys and girls are having the competition," Dami went on. "I'm so stuck, that's why I need your help. What's your opinion in this?"

"Why don't we let.... The swim team compete during.... Morning and afternoon, I guess. But that's because the water would still be warm. While the basketball team compete during the evening, when the weather's still cool and they won't easily get exhausted." I knew I had just said nonsense. What the hell did I know about sport? Nothing.

"Genius!" Dami gave a toothy grin, throwing me off guard. Maybe I hadn't said nonsense after all. "That might actually work, Tatiana. You're the best!"

"So is that all?" I got up even before Dami gave me permission to do so.

"Yeah sure," He nodded, but his eyes were on his book. "I'm gonna stay here to draw out the schedule."

"You do that," I awkwardly encouraged him, before heading to the library's exit.

Since it was a free period, I wasn't ready to go back to class. I needed time for myself, I needed to clear my head. I found myself entering an abandoned classroom. But I guess whomever was playing with my life, didn't want me to have just one time to myself.

Jubilee.

I walked closer to Jubilee, I noticed his attention was drawn to a different thing entirely. Moving closer, I realised it looked like a plane like object.

"What's that?" I asked, gaining Jubilee's attention for the first time, since I walked into the classroom.

"What are you doing here?" He spat at me.

I shrugged, moving closer towards him. "Was looking for a quiet place, away from all the chaos surrounding what I now refer to as..... Life."

Jubilee looked up from his object, to gaze at me. His brows knitted a bit, before composing himself. "It's called a drone."

I smiled and sat close to him. "What you doing?" I pointed at the drone he was holding.

"It got spoilt," He informed me. "Trying to see if I could fix it." I watched as he connected a red wire to an iron knot, before screwing the back of the drone in place.

"Is it fixed now?" I asked curiously.

"Only one way to find out," He got up and walked over to his backpack. He brought out what looked like a controller, before walking back to his original position. He placed his drone gently on the desk, then pressed something on his controller. Slowly but steady, the drown began to leave the desk. Soon, Jubilee's drone was almost reaching the classroom ceiling.

"Whoa," I breathed out as I watched him control the drone. I wanted to exclaim 'wawu' instead of 'wow', cause anything more than 'wow' was 'wawu'. But I didn't want to blow my cover. So I just went with 'whoa' instead.

"This is amazing!" I exclaimed once more. "You're amazing!"

Jubilee watched me for a few seconds before stretching his controller towards me. "Want to try?"

I looked at him a little bit stunned, then chuckled. "What's with the change of heart?"

He nudged his controller again. "Do you want to try it or not?"

"I might worsen the case of your drone." He said nothing, his controller still stretched towards me.

Oh Well.

I grasped his controller and tried my best to control his drone.

I yelled "Woo-hoo!" When it felt I was controlling the drone to its right direction and a "No!" When the drone almost smacked the ground or walls.

All that I did, so as to cover up the fact that I was aware of Jubilee's intensed gaze towards me.
