- little alfie here loves you, no doubt about it
- he loves your face, your personality, your friendliness, everything
- but what he doesn't love is your sleep schedule.
- being askr's tactician and summoner was a hard job, and you'd spend many nights awake in the library, hunched over a table with various inks and a quill, writing your fifth backup plan of the hour in the dim candlelight
- alfonse knew that you stayed up late, but he never knew how late until the two of you started sharing a bed
- well, instead of sharing a bed, it was the exact same as the past, with alfonse sleeping alone in his bed.
- you'd occasionally come join him at the crack of dawn to get ten minutes of shut-eye in
- your lack of sleep worried him even more than usual
-what if you collapsed on the battle field? you could die!
- so finally, on a wintry night, alfonse decided to confront you about it
- he stormed into the library and followed the faint light of your candle, and found your figure hunched over a piece of paper, scribbling down plans
- alfonse cleared his throat, trying to get your attention without startling you, but that plan failed
- you jumped up, knocking against the table
- "alfonse! why aren't you in bed?" you asked nervously
- "that's the question i should be asking you, love." he replied, "you haven't been to bed in three days."
- "three? ive got four more days until we head onto the battlefield again, ive got to have everything accounted for" you replied
- alfonse sighed and walked past you, grabbing your candle and ignoring your protests when he grabs your wrist and drags you from the library
- once he arrived to your shared room, you were livid
- why couldn't he let you just work on the plans? they were almost done!
- "those works will be there tomorrow, summoner. i promise."
- alfonse yawned and you felt bad, you were the reason he was awake so late
- "but i'll forget my idea if i don't finish it now" you argued back
- alfie grabbed your wrist again and pulled you into the bed. "it'll come back. now sleep"
- "i'm not tired." your last resort
- "yes you are, love. no one can hold up for three days with no sleep."
- with this, alfonse slid his hand across your waist and pulled the blankets over the both of you
- the warmth of the bed and his body made you yawn, your eyes getting heavy
- maybe you did kinda need sleep...you snuggled into alfonse's chest and relaxed, letting drowsiness take over you as he rubbed circles into your hips
