SUMMARY
Only a select few knew of the student who roamed the grounds of Hogwarts as a half-mermaid. That of course included the Headmaster, several teachers and the half-mermaid's friends. Rosie Kersey had forced herself into a life of secrecy.
So that she wouldn't be bullied, or pushed into the idea and label that society gave 'half-breeds' such as herself. But a time comes where her ability to turn into the creature at will become useful, and it's during the second task of the Triwizard Tournament.
When down in the depths of the Black Lake, Rosie would stay back until absolutely necessary, and when she does need to help, Cedric Diggory makes sure to remember the features which differentiated her from the other mermaids, and became determined to figure out who exactly helped him in the murky water.
