Y/n's POV
"Ready y/n?"
"Heck yeah."
Y/n shoved her phone in her bag and grinned at your best friend, b/f/n.
"You ready to play your boyfrieeennnd?" They teased.
"Shut up!" You laughed, playfully, bumping there arm.
"Hey!"
You laughed again.
"Come on b/f/n, let's go play."
The two of you walked out onto the field and on to the side. You took a quick swig from your water bottle and began stretching to warm up. You sat on the ground and began waiting for the game to start.
"Hi y/n!"
You looked up, feeling a warm sensation in your chest.
"Hey Z." You smiled. "Aren't you wearing the wrong colored jersey to be over here?"
"Maybe. Ready to play some ball?" He asked, tossing you the rugby ball.
You tossed it back and forth between your hands.
"Yup! You?"
"Always ready to play with you!" He grinned bending down and kissing your cheek, stealing back the ball.
"See you out there n/n!"
You smiled to yourself as you watched him go.
"Oh my gosh. Get a room y/n."
"B/f/n!"

"Over here!" You called, waving to one of your teammates as you ran down the field.
You saw the ball coming and reached out and caught it. You quickened your pace and kept going, hoping to score a point.
You suddenly felt yourself go down.
'Oh great.' You thought as one of the opposing teammates wrestled you for the ball.
As you wrestled, you could feel the opponent fighting harder back.
A sharp pain went across your cheek and you quickly pulled away as you heard the whistle blow.
"Ow..." You muttered, the taste of blood began to fill your mouth.
"Y/n? What happened? What's going on?" B/f/n asked, confused.
"Y/n, are you alright?" New Zealand asked, pushing past b/f/n and kneeling down to where you were on the ground.
You slowly nodded.
"Yeah, just got hit in the face." You replied, trying to shake it off. "Yeah that's gonna leave a mark.."
"You still look amazing." He smiled, tracing the mark on your cheek. "Just a little more beat up."
"Z!"
The ref came over and asked if you were okay and quickly checked your vitals as everyone took a break for half time. New Zealand stayed by your side the whole time, even though you told him to go rest, he persisted which you found a very cute gesture. The ref told you that you needed to sit out for a bit, just to make sure you were alright, to which you grudgingly obliged.
You came to the conclusion that sitting out was boring. You sighed, playing with the edge of your jersey, occasionally glancing at the field and cheering loudly when your team scored or stole the ball from the opposing team.
Your boyfriend seemed to pick up on your agitation because as soon as you would look at him, he'd make a funny face at you to try and cheer you up.
You giggled quietly to yourself.
'What did I ever do to deserve him?' You thought to yourself.
"Hey y/n, 5 minutes left." One of your teammates said, coming in from the feild and guesturing behind him.
"Yes." You said, jumping to your feet, ready to go. "Thanks!"
You quickly got into position, ready to start the next play.
You played your hardest and scored points a few times.
You were running down the field, and then New Zealand caught the ball.
You smirked and quickly raced after him. You tackled him to the ground and began to try and take the ball.
"Y/n!" He said in surprise. "I don't want to accidentally hurt you!"
"Then don't."
You kissed deeply on the lips, you pressed harder and harder.
He stopped fighting in surprise.
You managed to get the ball and score.
"TOUCHDOWNNN!" You yelled as the ref blew the whistle.
"We would have one if you hadn't kissed her!" One of New Zealand's teammates said angrily.
He shrugged.
"It's just a game."
He walked over to you, smiling brightly.
"Cheater." He teased.
"Oh you definitely let me." You laughed.
"Wish you could have been on my team. Then we definitely would have won."
"I'll always be your teammate." You grinned, getting on up your tiptoes and kissing him again.
"Awe n/n." He giggled, blushing. "You're so cheesy."
"Hey.." You responded playfully. "I was trying to be cute."
"Well there's no need to try."
You felt your face flush.
He grinned in satisfaction.
"Come on, teammate." He said, taking your hand and starting off the field. "Let's go home..."
A/n: Hope I didn't screw up writing this one too much. I've only played a few sports before, namely basketball, soccer (American), marching band (yes it is a sport), and horseback riding. So if I messed up just tell me!
