Yuki's POV
Hosu General Hospital
I just woke up at the same room with Iida, Shoto and I we're being treated, I'm barely recovering fast since I have lot of rest, but I could barely walk. For now we're all sitting on our hospital bed I grew bored.
"did you sleep, Yuki?" Shoto ask
"no not really..." I answer
"I figure, me neither..." Shoto said
"I'm thinking about that fight now, we did something pretty amazing" I mumble.
"yeah" Shoto agrees
"everything that happened back there it kinda feels like a miracle that we're even alive" I said as then I stared at my arms and legs "with my arms and leg messed up I could be an easy target" I said "we were lucky that we got out alive"
"yeah, seems to me he let us live on purpose" Shoto said as while he look at his arm "I'm impress that by you though Iida" he turn his head to Iida "he was actually trying to murder you, but you stood tall."
"that's not true" he said then he look down to himself "I was just-"
Suddenly the door open seeing Manual and Gran Torino.
"Oh, so the injured younglings are awake" Gran Torino said.
"Gran Torino?!" I called like I was surprise to see him.
"and Manual too" Iida said like he looks disappointed to himself.
"idiot, I could yell for you, for hours right now" he nagged
"yeah, I'm sorry I-" I got cut off
"but before I do, you've got a visitor" Gran Torino said as he turn around.
"really who?" I ask.
Then I saw a dog face 'wait this is the chief of police of Hosu city Kenji Tsuragamae' I thought as I got surprised I tried stood up.
"no please stay seated, woof" he said then I seated myself on my hospital bed "so you're the UA students who brought down the Hero-Killer"
"Stain has some serious injuries, severe burns and seven broken bones" he said "right now he's in a hospital under strict guard, woof."
We got surprised on what he said. We just injured one of nautorius villain in Japan very severely.
"there's a lesson that you should already learn" he continue "when quirks became the law. The police sought to remain this status quo they decide to we wouldn't use quirks as weapons. That's when Heroes came in, they could do what we couldn't if they were licensed of course, woof" he explains
"it would be impossible for the police to condone the use of deadly quirks. After all we're here to stop such harm for being done. The only reason Pros and they use their powers now it's because of the strict code of Ethics that the early heroes chose to abide by. That's why it's against the law for uncertified people to use their quirks to cause injuries."
Of course I know this law, Dad taught it to me when I was 13. If I use my quirk without a license I would break the law and cause damage or either get killed.
"Whether you're up against the Hero-Killer or not none of you have the authority to harm the villain." when he said those I saw Shoto is getting angry. I know this is getting infuriating but it's the law "and that means the three of you" he mentioned us "and your supervisors Endeavor, Manual and Gran Torino sure to receive harsh punishment for this gross abuse of your powers." I felt guilty but what choice do we have, we were on the verge of being slaughter back there we have no choice.
"now wait a minute!"
I turn my heads on Shoto, I see his eyes are burning angry.
"if Iida didn't steped in Native would have been murdered" Shoto said as we turn our heads on him "and if not for Yuki, both of them would be dead. No one even realize that the Hero-Killer was in Hosu, are you saying that we stood up and watch people died!"
"calm down, Shoto" I calm him down
"it's okay as you break down the laws, as long it goes your way" Tsuragamae said seriously.
Shoto became serious his eyes are narrowed "but Sir, isn't it a Heroes job to save people!"
"this is why you're not a full-fledge Pro yet, it's obvious UA and Endeavor haven't been teaching you near enough, what a shame" did he just insult Shoto, now I want shout right now but I need to control myself, I saw Shoto is really mad
"you damn Mutt!" he suddenly walk to him,
"listen he's right" Iida said but Shoto didn't listen
"Shoto stop!" I said, I stood in front of him, then he actually stop then look at me deep into my grey eyes as he see me worried.
"just stop right there kid" Gran Torino stopped him also, then Shoto turn to him "you don't want here him till the end" he said.
"what I've said is the official stance at the police department" he continue while he scratch his nose "but any punishment could only be neccesary if this went public, skip from being reprimand" he said then I calm down
"On the other hand we could say Endeavor saves the day. Stain's burns would support their story completely and we could pretend you weren't involve, woof. Thankfully there were very few witnesses this could be the last you heard any punishments. It would mean no one would know about you, thought you receive no acclaim at all" he said
"the choice is yours, personally I know where I stand and I don't to damage any promising young careers, not for a mistake like this" then he gave us a thumbs up.
"well that was a relief" I spoke
Then Manual sighs "either way we'll need to take responsibility for being negligent supervisor."
Iida approached Manual then he bow "I'm sorry, I should have listen"
Then Manual gave Iida a light smack "yeah you cause us a lot of trouble, remember that and don't do that again" Manual said.
"and I apologize as well" I apologizes then look down
"Me too" Shoto bow lightly.
"I know it's not fair you won't enjoy any of the fame and praise would have received otherwise" then he suddenly turn his head on me "and as for you Miss Yagi. You might be the daugther of All Might, UA staff member and soon to be pro-hero, but it doesn't mean you'll have this fame back, but I can see a bright future working along side you" he said.
"we heroes don't seek fame or ranks. Our duty is to help others in need, protect the poeple who cannot defend themselves and save others when their in times of despair. And always put a smile on your face no matter how scary things are" I said.
"I can see All Might within you, you're know a future pro-hero who strives to be one" he said.
"thank you, Tsuragamae" I smiled
"But allow me as the chief of police to thank you" he said while he bows.
"you know, you could've have started with that" Shoto said
"ufufu, come on the best is always last" I said
I suddenly felt moved when he thanked us but Shoto doesn't, since his Father will take the fame, while we act as bystanders who got mixed up. Days have passed we've been hearing the news that the Hero-Killer has been caught by Endeavor, but the truth is we did. But it doesn't matter as long that we're alive.
Hours later
I walk outside the lounge to make a phone call to Ochaco.
"so hows your injuries?" Ochaco ask
"it's fine, it's healing faster" I answer
"I'm glad that you're okay" Ochaco said "I was so worried about your message"
"yeah, but everythings fine. The boys are injured but I think thay'll be fine afterwards" I said
"I see-"
"oh call you later, see you back at school" Ochaco said
"okay"
Then we end our call.
I walk back to our hospital room I slid the door open then close it from behind, then I can see Shoto is very silent sitting on his hospital bed.
I sighed "thank goodness we got off the hook" I said "what do you say Shoto, you still good?" I ask him
"yeah, I'm fine" I saw his face is serious while he's sitting on his hospital bed
I stood up then sit beside him "Shoto, what's wrong?" I ask.
He sighed heavily "it's just that... I'm not like my old man that wants fame. he's that he's gonna receive another fame for himself. Even though we're the ones who defeated the hero-killer but I don't want to be the kind person he is!"
"I still don't forgive him for what he did to me and to Mom! He's a scumbag a scumbag that seeks a name for himself! He wants me to become number one, he wants me to surpass All Might, I was only a child he treated me as a weapon. Whenever he's around I couldn't bare but-"
I cut him off while I caress his cheek "Shoto listen" I said in calm voice and a warm smile
"remember you're not your Father you're you. A kind person who is stronger every time he's fighting something for his dream, you dreamed to be a hero just my Dad All Might."
"Fame only makes you famous and makes sound more powerful. But the truth is Fame is only a sound to spread rumors. My Dad might be the No. 1 hero but he is only called the symbol of peace not by rank but a symbol who filled the world with brimming hope" I said as his eyes widen
I look deep to his heterochromia eyes "And if you don't want to forgive it's your choice, when the day I saw you being in UA I was surprised that you became my classmate. Then the time at USJ you helped me saved Dad I was so greatful that the others helped us, during the time at the sports you were blaming yourself for using you left-side but I told you it's okay then look how far it got. You became strong just like I said"
I saw his eyes became calm and widen
I smiled "ufu, the first time I saw you ten years ago. You were all alone other kids didn't even have the guts to talk to you, so I took the courage to be your first friend, then when you told me all bout your quirk I told you that you can be a kind and strong hero. Now for years look where it took us I never would have thought that you loved me then you actually confess."
"Yuki..." he mumbled then he wipe my tears.
"but now I want to say it now" as I open my mouth slowly then let out a few words "thank you Shoto, for being there for me. Even though you're cold but I feel warm when you're around me."
"Yuki" he smiled "I too want to thank you. For being there for me. If you haven't come I wouldn't feel such gentle kindness" suddenly he got close his face is to my face "even when the Hero-Killer tried to kill Iida, you never hesitate to rush to save someone. And yet you still fight even when your worned out and injured, so thank you Yuki... for being there" he said as his face covered with red hue as he gets closed to mine.
"Sho..to..." I mumble I felt my face covered in red hue.
"Yuki...I" he whisper as then close the gap between us, but suddenly
"UWAAAH!" suddenly we got cut off while my face and Shoto's are glowing red in steam of embarassment then we look at the door way we saw Iida "DIDN'T MEAN INTERUPT YOU GUYS!" he said as we wave his hands in embarassment then he bow many times "I'M SORRY!"
"Iida?"
"Iida, hows your result?" I ask.
Then he sit quietly on his hospital bed, he looks serious and depress "my left hand might have damage it's permanent" he said
"permanent" I got scared 'at this rate it could Iida's. I feel sad for him' I thought.
"both of my arms are torn up, but the injury to my left arm is especially severe. The damage was to my brachial plexus, which just means I have trouble moving my finger and my hand might have some numbness. Apparently there's a chance of healed with nerve transplant surgery"
"Iida" I mumble.
"when I came across the Hero-Killer I stopped thinking rationally. The first thing that I should have done was to call manual. But I got lost to my own anger" he paused as he raise his "I hate him so much, but I can't deny that he spoke the truth"
"Iida it's okay"
"No Yagi it's not. that's why until I'm able to call myself a real Hero, I leave my left hand as it is" Iida said
"are you sure?" Shoto ask
"Iida" I called then I turn my head on him "I feel the same way" then I show my arm arm with bandages on it "let's get stronger together" I said.
Then we agreed
"I feel kind of bad..." Shoto spoke out
"about what?" I ask "Shoto what is it?" I ask
"whenever I get involve, someones hand gets all messed up. It's something wrong with me" he said
Suddenly Iida and I got surprise but the same we felt silent.
"am I cursed...?" Shoto said
We got surprised then we start bursting in laughters
"Shoto, I didn't know you have a sense of humor" I said while I laugh
"this isn't a joke, I'm like a hand crusher or something" he said seriously
Then we laugh harder "ufufu, the hand crusher" I said then laugh it off I really felt like laughing, Shoto is really funny.
"I'm not kidding come on, Yuki" Shoto called
The next day
I stood up wearing my uniform brcause I need to return to Gran Torino's training. I face the two of them Iida and Shoto "well, this is goodbye. Since I need to continue my internship" I said then I saw the two of them stood by.
"don't do something foolish on your way" Iida said
"oh now you're returning my words now, I should be the one scolding you for doing something reckless" I said
Then I saw Shoto approach me "Yuki, I'm still sorry for what I-"
I cut Shoto with my finger on his lips then I took it off "it's okay Shoto. Besides it's all in the past anyway" I said then smile gently "well gotta go" I walk a few steps to Shoto as I lift up then peck his cheek, I lower myself then smile while seeing Shoto in red hue his eyes widen "ufu, well see you guys around" I said while I took my suit case and bag as I walk the door then close it.
By the time I close the door then walk few feet away, I suddenly lower myself to me knees 'geez did I just give him a peck' I thought.
Shoto's POV
'did...she just...give me a peck me' I thought, while Iida is surprise on what just happen. In the end I never forget what happen.
"Todoroki! what kind of relationship you and Yagi had?!" Iida strictly ask.
