Ashley's POV:
I was back in Chicago at the end of July to go see Conner. He was staying at his parents house in Michigan for the summer, but this week, he was with me.
We were making out on the couch and suddenly the door opened and there stood Patrick and Olivia
Conner was shirtless and I was topless and in a thong.
We stopped and Patrick and Olivia were both looking at us.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Patrick and I threw a shirt on
"Technically this is my place.." He said
"Technically it's mine, you added my name.." I said
"I paid for this place.." Patrick said
"It's one in the morning, you two can sleep in the guest bedroom.." I said
"You can sleep in the guest bedroom.." Patrick said pissed back
They went to the master bedroom and I followed and Patrick laid in bed.
"Get out.."
"This is my bed.." I said laying down
"Oh, so are you two going to sleep in that bed together?" Olivia asked
"No, he's going to leave.." I said
"No boys in bed.." Patrick said getting up
"I'll have a boy in my bed if I want to.." I bitched back
"This is cute and all, but I just want to go to bed.." Olivia said
"Me too.." Conner said
"Flip a coin?" Patrick asked
"If you're going to make that big of a deal about this, you can have it.." I said getting up
Patrick also got up he said, "Just stay here.."
He left with Olivia and I stayed with Conner. I was laying in bed with Conner and he asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing.." I said trying to keep my crying quiet
"Baby, talk to me..." He said wrapping his arm aorund me
"I'm fine.." I said not facing him
I waited until Conner was asleep and I left the room and went to the large window in the kitchen.
I pulled the comfy chair to the window and I grabbed a blanket and I sat there, looking at the city. It was so dark, everyone was asleep. Everyone except one other person, Patrick.
"Why are you still up?" He asked
I jumped and I asked, "Why do you care?"
He pulled a kitchen chair over and sat down and I said, "You're the only boy I've ever had in that bed.. It's just weird.. You're in a guest room with another girl and I'm in our bedroom with a boy who isn't you.."
"Yeah, it's weird for me too.. This was our place. I'd sit on that chair and hold you in my arms on nights like these. I'd kiss you goodnight and then good morning. We'd make out in kitchen half naked and my mom would walk in.. There's a lot of memories here for us.. Now, there is a man who loves you in your bed... There is a woman who loves me in my bed.." Patrick said looking out the window
I laughed and I said, "Your mom walking in on us was the most embarrassing thing ever.."
Patrick laughed and said, "My mom knows too much about our sex life.."
I looked out at the city and Patrick said, "I'm building a house.. This place is all yours.. I'll spend the next year or so living with Tazer.."
"I don't think I can stay here.." I said
We just sat in silence and I was crying quietly.
Patrick stood up and he sat on the side of the chair and he hugged me.
"Please don't cry..." He said
"Why do you care?" I asked
"Ash, I'll always care about you and I hate to see you in pain.."
"It's fine.." I said wiping my tears
"You still wear the ring?" Patrick asked looking at my finger
"Shit..." I said
"It belongs to you.. My grandma wanted that special person to have it, nothing will ever match out epic love story.."
"Oh yeah, pretty epic.. The ending is beautiful.." I said rolling my eyes and crying
I got up and I went to the master bedroom and I fell asleep. I woke up and came out of the room and Conner and Olivia were up and eating breakfast together.
Patrick was also up.
Conner made eggs, the nasty kind with the yolk all there and eww. He also had bacon on my plate.
"Thank you.." I said smiling
I looked at the plate and gagged.
"Ash, we should go workout.." Patrick said
"Right now?" I asked
"I'm leaving in two minutes.." He said
"I'm sorry Conner, this looks amazing but I have to go with Patrick. We are meeting Rick, our strength coach." I said running to my room
I came back out in leggings and a tank top and we left. I got in Patrick's car and he haded me a smoothie cup.
"Thank you.." I said
"You're welcome.." He said
I drank my smoothie on the way to the rink and I was so full. Patrick finished it and we went to the gym and met Rick.
"Hey, how are you guys feeling?" He asked
"Like we're about to die.." Patrick answered
"Glad you came prepared.." Rick said
We did a twenty minute long warm up and then an hour workout with all the weights and it wasn't awful.
"Feeling good?" Rick asked
"Yeah.." Patrick said
"Good, here comes the fun part.." Rick said
We did sprints and then we got on the assault bikes. After, I felt like I was going to throw up.
We ended our workout the way we always did, core.
It was all pretty simple, until we had to do planks. Patrick was on his hands planking and Rick has my feet on Patrick's shoulder and I was planking on top of him (the opposite way) to add weight for Patrick. That two minutes took forever and when it was over, Patrick collapsed.
I got up and foam rolled, stretched, and then went to the locker room to shower.
I was in my towel and I didn't bring any extra clothes.
"Do you have any clothes here?" I asked Patrick
"Yeah, the extra ones I brought and the sweaty ones.."
"Fuck.." I said
"You should have came prepared.." He said
"You gave me two minutes.." I said
Our gear wasn't even here. Patrick went in the equipment room and he tossed me a jersey.
I put it on and he laughed as we walked to the car.
"No one can see me.." I said
I got in the car and Patrick started laughing..
"What's so funny?" I asked him
He looked at me and said, "Nothing, just how we always end up in these situations.. How are we supposed to go home and walk in with you wearing only a jersey with your ex-boyfriend?"
I laughed and said, "There's nothing we can say that won't piss them off.."
Patrick drove home and we walked inside and Conner asked, "What the hell is going on?"
He was pissed and Olivia looked pretty freaked out too..
I looked at Patrick and I said, "We weren't actually working out. We were at the rink having dirty hot sex... We're getting married now.."
