Full Dose At The Dentist
Lucien POV
"No, they are not working together in any way, it's bad enough they're under the same roof" Alexei says almost angrily, sitting next to me.
I'm still sleepy even if it's 9.15 AM, but last night was the first after a while in Modeldas and I slept restlessly in addition to the nightmares. Alexei had to comfort and calm me down few times during the night when I woke up, sweaty and panicky.
After breakfast Mr. Blumenfeld called the two of us into his office and here he tells me he wants me into a late Christmas photo shoot project where Candace is too. My roommate's protective mode is on and I couldn't be more grateful. I can't do it, I'm still pathetically afraid of that woman.
"I know, I know it isn't the most favorable assembly, but she's not that bad" Mr. Blumenfeld reasons, well, tries to.
"With all due respect, she is nuts" Alexei says crossing his arms against his chest, grumpily.
Mr. Blumenfeld clears his throat. "Mr. Portwin, when you're poor, you're...nuts. When you're rich, you're eccentric."
"And she is devilishly eccentric, I'm not having her in any contact with Lucien, with his own reluctance as well, and that is final" Alexei says and stands up. "He's still recovering too, so get some other jobs for him. If that is all for now, we're off."

I huff and shudder. "You d-don't k-know that, all those tools a-and machines they u-use to look and go in your m-mouth...and y-you don't know w-what it is to go there w-with me. You'll h-hate me."
"Come on" Alexei chuckles and I glare at him, making him try to be serious. "Alright, sorry. I won't hate you, I promise, and I'll come in there with you. That make you feel better?" I shake my head. "Then...what would you do if you had to go to the dentist at home?"
"You'll l-laugh a-and think I-I'm childish" I mutter.
He smirks. "You are childish but that's alright, and I won't laugh. Now tell me, or do I have to call your parents and ask them?"
"N-no, no!" I blurt alarmed, thinking of the stories Daddy could tell him, and blush. "No, I-I'll tell myself. W-well, for one thing a-after the first t-time I-I went, they never told me o-of the a-appointment until they drove me there, but that i-is too late now."
"What else?" Alexei softly urges me to continue when I hesitate, taking my shaking hand into his firm but now gentle one. Oh damn it, whatever. He'll get to know soon anyway, I have to do this.
"Also, they h-have t-to sedate me a-and stuff, so the recovery i-is the rest of the day a-and I'll be e-embarrassing. Then the n-next day, for breakfast, Daddy usually t-takes me to m-my favorite cafe and I get the o-only sweet thing I-I really like a-as treat, cheesecake. To say I'm s-scared is putting i-it mildly a-and whenever I have gone, s-something bad has happened. I-I swear it's l-like a-a curse. So, now y-you know a-and can laugh and m-make f-fun of me."
"What bad things?" Alexei queries, and I tell him examples again waiting for him to ridicule me. But he doesn't. "Lucien, I know it looks like that, but they were purely coincidental happenings. You're not cursed, but it's alright to have fears. Nothing bad will happen this time, plus I'll be with you. Now, before we have to go, we'll find a distraction for you and I promise to take you tomorrow somewhere where there's good cheesecake. Can't break the tradition, now can we? How does this plan sound?"
I stare at him still nervous but now also admittedly amazed. Why...is he really fine with doing all that for me? It's okay to ask Daddy to do all that, but Alexei Portwin?
"I-it...it w-would help" I mumble. I can't see because I'm watching the floor fascinated, but I can sense he's grinning.

I have to, because before I can even nod, my name is called by an assistant who smiles at us. Not trusting that smile, I try to hide myself behind Alexei.
"Mr. Feywin, we're ready for you" the lady says with a cheery voice. She works here, how can she be that cheerful and composed and smiling?!
"Y-you are?" I ask as Alexei pushes me in front of him.
"Yes, now come along, please" weird lady says taking a step back to the torture room.
Alexei nods when I look up at him in panic. "I'll be right here waiting, so go with her. They'll take great care of you."
"Oh, of course, there's nothing to be frightened of" the lady says and takes me by my arm gently but firmly to get me in there.
No...oh no... Before I let her do that, I break free and hurry to throw my arms around Alexei and hug him. He's tense for a few seconds but then hugs me back with one arm.
"Good b-bye, Alexei" I say quietly and solemnly.
"Be good and see you soon, Lucien" Alexei replies and then untangles my arms off him.
Next I'm taken to the dentist's room and I want to scream and kick myself free when the door closes and I can't see Alexei anymore. But I don't.

Alexei POV
Fucking hell. I take a deep breath as the door is closed and Mr. Fleming lets out a low chuckle next to me.
I have met many people in my life, with their own characteristics and peculiarities, but never have I met somebody so afraid of something like Lucien is afraid of going to the dentist.

The lady hums again with a smirk. "I'll bring him in then."
"I'd be prepared for anything, Mr. Portwin" my bodyguard says standing next to me when she's disappeared.
"Oh, I am" I muse, just wanting to see the boy again.
Next, the lady comes back helping a very disoriented but giggling Lucien on his wobbly legs to walk to us. Woozy is a good understatement, fuck. I'm already dreading this, considering the way Lucien behaved before the full dose having to be given to get the job done.
"There you are, here's your boyfriend" she says and I take Lucien to lean on me.
"Soulmate a-and lover, that's w-what he is, is what h-he is" Lucien says, in a suggestive voice I don't recognize on him, and then giggles. He wraps his arms around my neck and tries to kiss me, missing my lips on his own in the state he is. It's like he's drunk or high. "Hello, Alexei."
"Hello, hello, Lucien" I say as I untangle him off me so I can help the lady put the jacket on him. "Is this state, uh -"
"Oh yes, and it's coming down now" she says with a laugh. The boy is affectionate, not keeping his hands for himself with me and I actually struggle to keep us on our feet. "He'll be very tired, very soon."
Ready to go, I walk us to the entrance where the lady helps to open the door. I have to hold Lucien to stand up against me.
"Does he have to come back at all?" I query the lady before she disappears again, and the brat in my arms repeats still giggling and almost slurring my question.
The lady's eyes widen for a second before she clears her throat. "Not for a very long time, I hope."

In our room, I set the still occasionally giggling boy down on the bed. When I bend down to pick up his pajamas from the floor, Lucien somehow moved to hang his head over the bed edge so he's looking at me upside down between my legs.
"I-I see you" he says grinning and finds that funny. What is his obsession over my ass all of a sudden? In fact, I wonder where all of this is coming from.
I change him into his pajamas, ignoring all his comments about it under the influence of whatever medicine they used on him.
"Do you need to go anywhere before bed?" I ask once I've got him ready.
"Alaska" he says and yawns.
I shake my head. "No, we won't go quite that far today."
