Neil walked to her cabin inside, locking the door behind he moved close to a couch that was placed facing her desk..he slouched his back on the seat and relaxingly leaned to it...
Avni stood their stunned looking at him..
"Uff it's so warm outside Avi" Neil rested his hand on the handrest gazed straight at her..
Avni furrowed her eyes staring at him..
"Hey why are you standing there come sit here" Neil motioned her to sit next to him on the couch..
"No I'm okay here" Avni replied in a low tone..
"Bada hu main tujhse, kabhi to meri baat sunliya kar.. come here.." he sat straight and extended his arm towards her...
"But we should move now... Everybody must be waiting for us there at home" Avni pulled her hand bag a bit over her shoulder expecting him to move...
His lips curved a bit staring at her..he smiled through his eyes..
"Humm.. I know but You have already told Neela Aunty that you will be late...so they won't be waiting for us.." he said relaxingly leaning back on the couch...
"By the way have you done your lunch!!!" Neil enquired..
"Yup, I had in canteen half an hour back" Avni replied being uneasy with his presence..
"Good.....
come sit..." he called her one more time..
Avni sighed deeply having no other option left for her, she walked towards the couch..
Neil rose his eyes up at her...he extended his arm held her hand then made her sit beside him...
Avni hesitantly sat on the couch in a distance away from him sat looking straight blankly avoiding his gaze on her...
Neil noticed that,he shifted little close to her then took her hands into his..Avni instantly turned her head looked at their intertwinked hands confusingly then rose her eyes at him...
Neil smiled when their eyes met..
"Now tell me what is going on inside your bhaari dimag..you have just stopped talking with your Tillu!!" Neil calmly said then chukled..
"I'm not avoiding you"Avni tried to free her hands from his grip, but the grip became more tigher by her this action..
"Avii please" Neil roamed his intense gaze on her eyes..
Staring at his intensity she couldn't utter a single word..She immediately shifted her eyes straight nowhere in particular..
Holding her hand still Neil slowly came down on the floor he sat on his toe facing her..
Avni startled seeing him there..She opened her mouth to say something but she lost her words staring in his eyes..
Neil heaved a deep sigh shut his eyes before he opened it again..
"Avii...abto tu bahot achhi tarhase jaan chuki hai ki how much I love you... nonetheless I know how much you love me too..but being as typical Avni you won't accept it" Neil said the last sentence casually in a smirk..
"but have you ever thought that how much your egnorance hurting me!!! it's not that you have never been mad at me, everytime those fights had given me vibes that I have been always important to you as you are to me..but you know what your behaviour since yesterday killing me inside..i can't take this anymore. it feels so heavy not talking to you all day long...
Even today you didn't reply my good morning message... Avi please say something" Neil craved for her reply..
"I don't love you..we are just a good fri...." Removo her hands from his grip she said sternly looking at his eyes..but instantly was cut off by Neil..
"Oh please stop making yourself fool Avi" He responded irritatingly..
Avni stood up from the couch moved pass by him to her desk she stopped near a chair and gripped it's headrest tightly with her palm to control her emotions in front of him..
"And You know the reason very well..Neil" She said in a cleared tone backfacing him..
Neil looked at her hand which is holding the headrest of that chair so tightly..he raised his gaze at her..
"99percent possiblities are there of being your infertile..its a rare case of acute syndrome of PCOD..you have almost tried every possible way to treat this from its core but everytime you did that, it had been failed to give you a permanent solution, rather each time it has come back much prominently than your every last medical status.....
Now anything else new do you have for me to know!!" He moved closer and stood behind her..
"And I don't give a shit to any such kinds of qualm...
Yess I'm least bother to all these hypothesis activities Miss Avni Roy, did you get that" He held her shoulder and turned her to face him..
"Tune kaise soch liya ki tu mujhe avoid karegi aur main tujhein aisehi jaane dunga... aur to aur tu woh teri friend Juhi Ko mere pichey laga diya taki main divert ho jau..tuney mujhey samajh kya rakha hai!! kya main tujhey itna kamjor dikhta hu Avi !!!"Neil said in an agiated tone but he tried to keep calm his temper not to barge upon her..
Avni rose her eyes straight at him being surprised at his every word...for a moment she was drifted by this profound intense vicinity, the way he expressed his selfless love for her..his each words shook the nub of her womanhood...
But the next moment she lowered her eyes and averted her gaze aside..
"Please Avi say something" Neil cupped her face pulled slightly upward making her to look at him..
She closed her eyes a lone tear tickle down her right cheek..
"You won't be happy with me Neil" she opened her eyes..
"You are right you won't be happy with me..." He gritted through his teeth..
"Recently I was diagnosed by cancer and I'm having very less time to live, may be one month..." Neil brought his hand back away from hers.. he gave a sarcastic smile through his tears..
He was about to move away from her but Avni stopped him holding his wrist...Neil turned his face saw his hand held by Avni then tilted his firm gaze on her...
"What did you just say???" Avni asked curiously..
"Why!!!! you didn't hear" Neil snapped his brows..
"You are joking right!!!! " she frowned now her tears started welled up from her eyes...
"I know Avni I'm hurting you but I have to let you know how it's feel when the person you love doesn't think you a part of their pain as well as they share their happiness "thinking all these in his mind Neil yanked his hand from hers...
Avni immediately held his hand from both of her palms firmly..
Neil turned his head another side shut his eyes before he open them again...
"Neil...please don't do this to me...try to understand my situation...I can't let your whole life in stake....your parents have some hope, dreams or expectations whatever you say, they have with you...don't you think you would hurt them if you be with me..." Avni stared at him questionably..
"Yess you are right ek cancer patient k saath kaun apna larkika hath dega" He tried to loosen her grip from his clenching his jaws in anger...
"Yeh kya tabse cancer cancer laga rakha hai main kya samjha rai hu tumhein aur tum kya bole jaa rai ho" Avni spatted a bit louder..
Neil immediately held her shoulder and pinned her to the wall...
"Yeah that's what I wanted you to understand,tere liye mujhey chodke baaki sabkuch important hai.. main kya chahta hu mujhey kaisa lageyga tujhey kuch padhihi nahi.. tumsab ek jaise ho tumhein bass apni padi hai bass mahaan banna hai sabko.. ismein kiska dil tut ta hai, kiski jindi barbad hoti hai doesn't matter...bass maine sacrifice Karli ab woh jaye bharmein... uski zindagi kharab honeka responsibility ab meri nahi hai I have stepped back I'm saved and no one could blame me... excellent job..."he clapped laughing sarcastically...
"You know what!!!
To hell with your sacrifice, to hell with your concern, to hell with your maahanta..." he tightened his jaw...
"Kabhi socha hai jinko aise majhdaar parr laakey chodh deteho tumlog, woh kaise jitey hai apni zindagi!!!
Pyaar k bina kaise kaat te honge woh itni lambi zindagi!!!" He leaned to her his voice held dejection, their faces an inch apart. Avni flinched, his words hit her to the core along with that his repented gaze over her.
"kabhi nahi socha, kyuki tumlogo ne to gold medal paaliya na, mahantaki murti hogayi, aur kya chaiye!!!ab woh banda ghut ghut k jiye ya marrey kya fark pardha hai..." His voice hardened back,gaze tenacious.
I mean Whaaaoow!!! kaise karleto ho tumlog ye sab..." He sighed, the sarcasm haven't left his voice.
"You know what maine sochatha jo bhi ho meri Avi bahut strong hai woh yesab ghisa pita ideas mein believe nahi rakhti.. but I was so wrong tuto sochmein abhi bhi sau saal pichey hai..." His blew out a remorseful snort through his nose.
"Usdin yaad hai jab tera woh patient ka call ayatha jab hum mall mein the shopping karne.. Tu apne patient ko kya kaha tha yaad hai!!
I guess that patient wanted to hide something related to her medical status from her husband as I had assumed by your answers..
To tune usey kya kahatha that you have talked to him personally, he is a loving husband, you felt so.. you advised her to let him know, not to take any decision without discussing with her husband.. Even though you said her to talk to him before she takes any decision in her own. Right!!
Then what the grave you are doing now!!! jab gyaan baatni haito baat dete ho... parr khud pe kabhi apply karke dekha hai!!
noooo!!!" He chewed the letters through his gritted teeth...
"Okay to phir sab tuhi decide kar...khudki zindagi bhi, aur meri bhi.." Pushing Avni a bit, he released his grip and stepped backward..Neil turned her eyes away her...
Avni stumbled backward, slightly her back hit the wall she got stiffened stayed still there...She dragged through her back down the wall. She sat on the floor with a thud as an expressionless doll..
Neil walked to reach the exit door and before he could unlock the door to leave, he paused...
"Parr ek baat kaan kholkar sunle agar shaadi karunga to tujhse, nahito kisise nahi.. aur agar koi mujhey pucha why I'm not marrying. Then I'll make sure ki sabko pata ho the main reason behind taking this decision of mine..."
Spatting those words he touched the door knob to unlock the door but he halted in his track, his brows creased, a sound of sobbing he heard came from behind..Neil turned his head instantly and the most heart wrenching sight he has witnessed... he saw Avni sitting on her knees close to her chest she was sobbing heavily covering her face with her palm...
That was it. Neil immediately left the locked door knob and rushed close to Avni. Kneeling to her level he held her hands to uncover her face...
"Avu please stop crying I'm sorry please look at me jaan..see your Tillu holding his ears look at me once...you know na your Tillu can't see you in this state...Aviiii" He engulfed her in a bone crushing hug...
" Tillu is sorry Jaan" Neil mumbled in his glassy eyes pressing his cheeks on her forehead...
Avni slowly calmed herself down she parted away from him...she wiped her face tilted her eyes at Neil...
"Tumhein kya lagta hai ye sab mere liye aasan hai!!!! mujhe bahut khushi milti hai tumhein dukhi dekhke!!!
Mujhhey bhi taklif hoti hai tumhein mere liye tarapte huye dekhkar...mainbhi andarse tut jaati hu jab tumhein kisi aur k saath dekhti hu parr sabko life mein sabkuch nahi milta Neil.. meri story hi kuch aesihi hai mujhe tum nahi mil sakte..." she replied calmly sniffing in between...
Neil cupped her face up close to him "Do you love me!!"
Avni flipped her eyes by this question uncertainly thrown by him...
She swallowed down inside her throat..
Neil rose his eyes waiting for her to say something..
"aaa mmm..."she mumbled then lowered her gaze..she tried to hide her blush from him..
Neil held her chin up..he chuckled noticing her flushed cheeks..
Avni bit her bottom lip being caught blushing..
"Avii!! chahey jitnabhi ladle mujhsey bass mujhe chorke jaaneki kabhi baat math karna.." He whispered and took her hands in his grip, pressed his forehead with hers...
