"Hey! Leave me alone!"
The guys laughed as they simply pushed you further into the rock wall.
"No quirk huh? This is gonna be fun" the leader laughed.
"Where's your heroes now huh?" One of them jeered.
"Right here, I'm warning you to leave her alone, now" you immediately recognized that voice and turned your head, seeing your ex, Dabi.
"O...of course Dabi, w...whatever you say m...man" the guys dropped you and ran.
"Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" He asks you gently, holding out his hand for you, you took it and he pulled you to your feet. He lightly traced the small bruise marks that were starting to form before pulling his hand away.
"What are you doing here?"
"I was...on my way to see you actually..." he chuckled, his eyes held a softness to them as he stared at you. God, he missed you. He felt his hand itch to reach for yours, but he fought the urge.
"You um...you look nice...is there a-"
"No, I was just going out to lunch with friends, I just picked up some groceries on the way" you answer as Dabi picked up your dropped grocery bags.
"Oh, ok" he felt the relief course through him, you weren't dating anyone, not yet anyway.

"So is there a particular reason you wanted to see me? Or did you just want to find out if I had a current boyfriend so you could threaten to cremate him?" You ask as you sat on the fire escape of your building next to Dabi, handing him a beer.
"That was one time, and we weren't even dating"
"We aren't dating now" Dabi found himself meeting your eyes for way too long and turned away, uncapping the beer.
"Yeah...we aren't..."
"Dabi...it was a mutual breakup, with you joining that League and all that, you didn't want me to get hurt. Especially since I'm quirkless."
"I know"
"So why did you come to see me?" You ask, leaning on Dabi's shoulder. He found himself involuntarily threading his fingers with yours. Your hands were always so cold compared to his.
"I...I needed my rock" he smiled down at you, you looked back up at him. He couldn't help himself, you were the one thing in this world that he couldn't resist. He leaned in and gently pressed his lips to yours. It was only a second but it was the best second that he had since your breakup. He pulled away and watched your expression, your eyes fluttering open.
"Dabi...what about..."
"Just for tonight (Y/N), please." He begged you quietly, resting his forehead against yours. You couldn't imagine what he had to do with that League, but if he needed you then you would be there for him, you promised him that when you broke up.
"Sure, just for tonight" you reminded him, he put his arm around you and nuzzled your cheek.
"Thank you (Y/N)"
