"Umm...where is it...No.No.No...ummmm-ahah!" You said scanning the shelves until you found exactly what you wanted. You were currently in the biggest library in Musutafu searching for books to study up on your law practice. You attended school at UA, and were currently in the business department of First Years.
However, you were different. You were currently studying for the hardest professional exam in history.
The California Bar Exam.
You were practicing to be a lawyer and even though your quirk allowed you to immediately make people tell the truth, you refused to use it to your advantage. The Bar Exam was something that you could study all you wanted for and it would still seem hopeless.
With five one-hour essay questions, one 90-minute Performance Test, and 200 multiple-choice questions, it was more of a full on procedure then an Exam.
With your thick textbooks in hand you made your way to a checkout counter at the library and scanned all the books one by one. The head librarian knew your name by heart and understood if there were a few late fee's here and there.
Your exam was in three months, and you were super nervous. As you scanned your final book, you waved goodbye to the librarian and walked out to head to school.
In your hands you had school papers and documents relating to the bar exam so you could study. You carried two thick textbooks as well as three more in your backpack. You walked into the school as the bell rang.
"Shit, I'm late..." you said speeding up your pace quite a bit.
You shuffled to class and rounded a corner, accidentally slamming into someone. Your papers scattered across the floor. Luckily you had them all numbered and organized just in case this happened.
"Oh dear, I am so sorry miss-" the boy who was speaking seemed to freeze as you locked eyes with him. You noticed a tint of pink on his cheeks as he adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat.
"I apologize for not looking where I was walking...uh" He added, seeming to wait for your name. "Oh! I'm (Y/n). Pleasure to meet you." You said with a smile.
"I'm Ii-"
"You're Iida Tenya. I have heard about you. Mr. Class Rep." You giggled as you started to gather your papers. Iida flushed and began to help you pick up your things. "The California Bar Exam?!" Iida exclaimed looking at one of your papers. "Yeah, I know. It's ridiculous..." You sighed, just seeming to notice how much you were actually carrying with you. "No! I-Uh, it isn't ridiculous! I'm sorry that is how it came off. " His hands moved in a frantic motion as he rushed to apologize.
You sent him a soft smile making him instantly turn pink and go quiet. Why did that simple gesture have such an effect on him? That smile was like something he had never seen before. "Iida are you okay?" You said slightly worried. You had since moved and were standing over him holding your papers to your chest. He snapped out of his thoughts and shot off the floor so he now towered over you. Your papers were slightly crinkled in his hands as his nerves got the better of him.
"I am okay. Sorry for that..." He said handing you the papers. You smiled as you grabbed them shifting everything so they could rest on top. "Well, I guess I should be going. I hope you have a good day Iida!" You said rounding the corner and heading to class. Iida pondered for a moment and said a mental: 'frick it' In his head and turned back rounding the corner and calling your name.
You turned around and noticed Iida at the end of the hall. "If you aren't to busy studying during lunch, maybe you could sit with me?" He muttered rubbing the back of his neck nervously. You smiled and replied:"I would like that! I'll see you at lunch!" You said smiling and heading to class. Iida stood there for a few moments smiling to himself finally heading back.

Lunch was in two hours and you honestly could not be more hungry than you were today. Usually you ran to the library and studied, but now you actually had plans. You were currently heading to 'Training hour' or 'Study Hall' for the business department. Your class headed outside as you held a book in your face and read the rather small print. You kept walking as you felt a breeze lightly tickle your face. You looked up and noticed some of the other kids training.
As you looked closer you saw a familiar head of blue hair making you smile. You watched in awe as their teacher made them race, of course Iida was the fastest....it made sense. You watched for a bit longer taking a seat on a nearby bench as you watched.
"WATCH OUT!" You heard out of your left ear. You turned and looked to see a baseball flying toward you at an alarming speed. You screamed and opened your book to protect your face. The force of the ball flung you off the bench as you landed on the ground.
The good news though, you caught the ball!
Your eyes fluttered open as you rolled onto your back. You had completely face planted and had a massive green stain on your once white shirt. Sitting up a few boys and girls approached you in worry. "Oh my gosh are you okay?!" One of the girls said. They looked like they were from class 1-C. "Yeah I am okay..." You said sitting up. "What is going on?!" A familiar voice rang through the air as your head still was spinning a bit.
Through the crowd of kids emerged Iida with a worried look on his face until his eyes met yours. He grabbed the ball from the floor and tossed it back to the other students. "I can take it from here, thank you for assisting her." He said in a bit of a fatherly tone. Once all of the students left he helped you up and sat you back on the bench. "Are you alright?" He said kneeling in front of you. You nodded now able to see straight. "Your hair is a mess.." Iida said running his fingers through your hair and pushing it out of the way.
You blushed as you looked at him. "Thank you." You said noticing a tinge of pink across his cheeks as well. You both went to stand up at the same time making your bodies collide and fall onto the floor. You landed on top of Iida and shrieked in embarrassment. You shot up and muttered countless apologize as he stood up and tried to calm you down. However, it only made matters worse as one of his hands, while in motion, grazed against your breast making him apologize to you and you try and calm him down.
Iida's classmates watched the conversation get more and more awkward until you eventually ran off to get an extra shirt from recovery girl's room. Iida huffed as he plopped down on the bench and shoved his face in his hands. "Tough time with the ladies?" Denki said approaching a flustered Iida. " No! I mean...well...just one woman. I barley even know her though. Every time I try to help her she ends up falling over! Literally!" Iida said defeated. Denki patted him on the back and stood him up. "Iida, I have some great advice for you!" He said leading him back to the practice grounds.
~Time Skip~
It was three weeks after you had met Iida and had the most embarrassing day of your life. Iida was genuinely surprised you showed up for lunch that day so it wasn't so awkward. He managed to use some of Denki's advice (In a more tame way) and you both had talked everyday since. It was fair to say you had both grown a crush on each other and Iida definitely had plans to ask you out...but he couldn't figure out how.
Before their class started that day, Iida decided to talk to a few of his friends about it. He was very stressed and the last thing he wanted to do was ruin your friendship. You were so intelligent and caring that Iida knew he had a one in a million chance. "I just don't even know what I would say!" He exclaimed looking up at his friends who were crowded around his desk. "Iida it is okay. As a girl I can mostly confirm that she likes you back." Ochaco said hoping to lift his spirits. "What is the probability that she will say no?" Iida asked adjusting his glasses. "Oh..um. I have no idea, I'm no good at math, sorry.." The Brunette softly replied. Iida ran his hands through his hair as he slumped on his desk.
"Calm down Iida, it will be okay." Said Midoryia trying to be comforting. "Yeah dude, just say it!" said Denki casually slipping in his two-cents. Iida shot up from his chair as waved his hands. He raised his voice in a sarcastic tone as he spoke: "You want me to just casually WALK UP to her and say what!?!" Ochaco's eyes widened as she noticed something. "Umm....Iida, keep your voice down.." She said tugging at his shirt and shushing him. "Yeah, Kaminari, I'll just walk up to her and say 'Hey (Y/n), I really like you! You wanna go out sometime?'". Iida caught his breath and looked to see a smirking Denki.
"What Kaminari?" Iida questioned raising a brow. "Well you don't have to tell her now." The electric boy said making a head gesture to behind Iida. Iida whipped his head around and his face flushed when his eyes met yours. You had come to drop something off to Iida from the other day and had heard that entire end conversation. You were frozen still in the doorway and as Iida opened his mouth to explain you ran out the door. "(Y/n) wait!!!" He shouted tripping over his bag and desk and rushing out the door.
You could run fast, but of course, Iida could run MUCH faster. You were pulled to a stop as Iida grabbed your arm. "(Y/n) I meant everything I said." He stated simply. Your body was still faced away from him as he held you by your arm. "I don't know if you could tell but... that wasn't exactly what I had planned." He rubbed his neck as you slowly turned around, intertwining your small fingers with his rather large ones. "I like you too Iida..but I have a lot going on right now with this exam in about two months now..." You said sadly.
He took both of your hands in his and squatted so you were forced to look at him making you smile. "The last thing I want to do is hold you back from your studies, but I could help you study. I will sit with you as long as you need me too and I can help you!" Determination for this to work gleamed in his eyes as he spoke. You giggled softly as you stood him up and gave him a big hug. He was taken aback for a quick moment before he hugged you back.
As the weeks passed Iida kept his promise. He would help you study whenever you asked whether it was at the library, a cafe, his place, or yours. You would both stay up until dawn helping each other review your respective materials. On days you didn't study, you either went on dates or just had nap time. Your favorite days by far are when you would be studying and Iida would fall asleep beside you.
Eventually it was time for your exam and you could not be more nervous. You flew out to California and Iida flew out with you which was a shock considering he was working on being a hero. Iida explained it making you understand that he swapped out his spring break for this. You both boarded the plane and took your seats. It was 11 at night so all was dark as you sat in the window seat while Iida put your luggage overhead. When he sat next to you, you leaned your head on his shoulder and listened as the emergency announcements rang out overhead.
Once they finished the plane got in the position to take off. You held onto Iida's arm gently as the cabin lights dimmed out. You both looked out the window as the plane began to rumble and driving forward. As the plane elevated off the ground you leaned away from Iida and shoved your face against the window. Iida watched with a loving smile as your eyes gleamed at all of the city lights you could see in the darkness of the night. "Iida! There is UA!" You said turning to look at him. He leaned on you and looked out to where you were pointing. "Indeed it is...the city is so big from up here.."He said calmly in your ear. You felt his arms wrap around your waist as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
"Mhm." You quietly hummed in satisfaction rubbing your head against his. "I somehow found you (Y/n)...I'm the luckiest man alive." He kissed your neck sweetly before leaning back in his seat. You looked at him with shining eyes as you leaned against him again. He wrapped one arm around your back and put a headphone in your ear and the other in his and played calm music as you both closed your eyes. Within a few moments, you were asleep and lightly breathing through soft parted lips.
Iida kissed your head with a tired smile before whispering a quick 'I love you' and falling asleep with you.

Iida sat on a bench outside the building tapping his foot as he waited. The test took two days and it was currently your last day. You wouldn't get results back for a few months, but Iida always waited for you, no matter how long it took. Finally students emerged from the building and Iida stood up searching for you among the crowd. "Iida!!!" You said cheerily jumping up trying to get your boyfriends attention. His eyes looked toward your voice as you jumped up again making him smile. Suddenly you came bursting through the crowd smiling like a little girl.

You and Iida had been back in Japan for a few months now waiting for your results. It was a Tuesday and you were just casually sitting in class when a letter came for you. The bell rung for 'Training hour' and you couldn't seem to move. You stared at the letter from California addressed to you. Your hands shook as you began to open the letter. You gently opened the seal as your breathing became erratic. Slowly unfolding the letter, you read through it word by word. You were.....
Iida was training when he heard a shrill scream of his name from across the field. Class 1-A looked over to see a teary eyes (Y/N) running toward them. "IIIIIIIIDDDAAAAAAAAA!" You squealed. You jumped onto him making him stumble back but regain his balance and catch you. "I PASSED MY EXAM!" You screamed making Iida's eyes widen and he set you down. "(Y/n) I am so happy for you! This was your first kiss you two had shared and you both loved every second of it. "Damn, Iida get some!" Denki yelled making Iida snap out of his trance and pulling away. "Watch your language!" Iida reprimanded the yellow haired boy as he tried to switch the topic. "Sorry about that Iida...." You said making Iida return his focus to you. You both conversed for a moment before you gave him a hug and let him resume his training. But after all that happened, the last thing Iida could think about was training.
You had both shared a hotel room while in California and slept in the same bed. Of course there were no advancements made, but Iida could easily tell some uhhhh, tension...you were having. "Well he told me to lower my voice and block you in..which sounds uncivil but..."
