3rd Person POV
[Declan had just explained the situation. The purpose of the Battle Royal was to assemble a team to fight against Duel Academy. The crew was: JP (Original), JP (Fusion), JP (XYZ), Shay, Celina, Declan's little brother Riley, Sylvio, and Gong. Yuya was also invited but he wasn't happy with how Declan treated the situation]
Yuya POV
[I was livid at Declan. He kept all of this away from us and knew the whole time what was going on. I was also angry for JP. I know that he blames himself for Zuzu being taken. He might now show it I know he's greatly effected by it. I'll beat Declan in a duel. Maybe that will give JP the spark he needs to rebel]
3rd Person POV
[Yuya dueled against Declan and lost. Yuya had to join the Lancers. That was the name of the group. That night, everyone was led to their quarters. Everyone had a lot to talk about. Lulu and Shay got into an argument about joining the Lancers]
Lulu: Let me come with you.
Shay: I said no. You've already been taken once. I won't let it happen again.
Lulu: I'll stay by JP's (XYZ) side the whole time. There is no place safer to be.
Shay: You have a point. What's your opinion on this JP (XYZ)?
JP (XYZ): You'll know how this will end, Shay. Lulu won't stop until she gets what she wants. Might as well let her come.
Shay: Fine. But you stay with JP (XYZ) the whole time.
Lulu: I'll do my best since there are two more that look like him. Maybe we'll run into the third.
[Rin was very upset that JP had left with another girl. Yugo tried to cheer her up]
Rin: Why did he leave with her? Doesn't he know that we don't look alike?
Yugo: That was his plan the whole time, Rin. He and I were going to find you and then we would leave. We don't have to mess with what's going on. It isn't our business. I'm sure JP (Synchro) has recognized his mistake and will come back to get you.
Rin: I hope so. He already has several girlfriends. He doesn't need anymore.
[Celina and JP (Fusion) were having a serious talk]
Celina: So this is what we were really doing? We were destroying lives.
JP (Fusion): Uh huh.
Celina: How could we be so blind?
JP (Fusion): Celina, there is something important I have to tell you.
Celina: What is it?
JP (Fusion): There is this man called the Doctor. He implanted a parasite in your brain. I'm sure that he will activate it at some point to take control of your mind.
Celina: Why are you telling me this now?
JP (Fusion): I want to insure you that if anything happens, I'll do whatever it takes to save you.
[Celina kisses JP (Fusion)]
Celina: I know you will. Thank you for the heads up.
JP (Fusion): I need to warn my other counterparts.
[JP (Fusion) walked away. Yuya was trying to cheer up JP (Original)]
JP (Original): I failed her.
Yuya: No you didn't. It's just a case of mistaken identity! We'll go to the Synchro Dimension and get her back. You're the best duelist I know.
JP (Original): Thanks, Yuya. I needed that.
[JP (Fusion) gathered JP (Original), JP (XYZ), and Yugo]
JP (Fusion): What I'm about to say stays between us and Celina. There is a parasite implanted in Rin and Lulu's brain along with Celina.
Yugo: What?
JP (XYZ): What does the parasite do?
JP (Fusion): It will turn our girls against us. When that happens, we need to do everything we can to get them back. Understood.
JP (Original): I guess Duel Academy is planning doing the same thing with Zuzu?
JP (Fusion): Yes. I'm sorry. I tried saving Lulu and Rin from the experiment. I was too late. I still broke them out but that was all I could do.
Yugo: At least you did what could. That's all that matters.
[Just then, Celina, Rin, and Lulu walked over to the JP counterparts]
JP (Original): Can we help you?
Celina: Yes. (Points to JP (Original)) So you're the Original?
JP (Original): Yes.
Rin: So all four of you are the same person?
JP (Original): Uh huh.
Lulu: So that means that you're dating all of us. Including all the other girls from our dimensions?
JP (Original): It sounds harsh when you say it that way but yeah.
[JP (Original) gets a slap from Rin, Yuzu, and Celina]
JP (Fusion), JP (XYZ): Why did you do that for?
Celina: How could you?
Rin: You're dating other girls beside me and the people I agreed to share you with?
Lulu: How many girls does it take for you?
JP (Original): In my defense, the three of you and Zuzu were all one person as well. So you're "cheating" as well.
Celina: No we're not. You're the same person.
JP (XYZ): She's got a point.
Lulu: We should also thank you.
JP (Original): Why?
Rin: You protected us when you were in our Dimensions. You saved us. Only you have the Pendulum Cards.
JP (Original): I guess you're right. I had to save you. All of you were my best friend when you were together.
JP (Fusion): That is the Chancellor's plan. He wants to fuse all of the bracelet girls together.
Celina: Why?
JP (Fusion): To get his daughter back. That's all he wants.
JP (Original): When all the dimensions were one, there was an evil person named Zarc. He tried taking over the whole world. My friend named Rey defeated him but Zarc was still able to split everything into four. That's why all of you girls have one of the bracelets she used to wear. Zarc was split into four as well. He split into: Yuya, Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri.
Yugo: So I'm a bad guy?
JP (Original): The Chancellor is afraid that you four will fuse together. He believes that only Rey could defeat Zarc.
JP (XYZ): You said that you made a mistake concerning Zarc. What did you do?
JP (Original): I failed to finish him. Rey had to finish the duel for me. She was protecting me. Now I'm conflicted on what to do.
JP (Fusion): Why?
JP (Original): Because when all of you fuse together...you'll cease to exist.
Celina: How is that fair?
JP (Original): It isn't. That is why I'll try to keep Zarc from fusing together so all of you can keep your lives. The same for my Counterparts. Even though we're the same person, I don't want to take their existence from them.
Lulu: That's a good reason to worry.
JP (Original): I have to go for a walk. I'll be back.
[Rin decides to follow JP (Original)]
Yugo: Where are you going?
Rin: He's the only JP counterpart without a bracelet girl. Even if it's just for tonight...he doesn't deserve to be alone.
[The whole gang went to bed. Celina slept with JP (Fusion) and Lulu slept with JP (XYZ). With Shay's permission of course. Rin walks over to JP (Original)]
JP (Original): What are you doing, Rin?
Rin: You don't deserve to be alone. You're the only JP counterpart without a bracelet girl. I want to fix that. Though honestly it kind of feels like I'm cheating.
JP (Original): Then don't do it.
[Rin sleeps in bed and pretends to be asleep until she falls asleep. JP (Original) can't bear to see her alone. He lies down next to her. He whispers in her ear thinking that she's asleep]
JP (Original): Celina may be my favorite but you're right behind her.
[JP (Original) wraps his arms around Rin not knowing that she was blushing and smiling the whole time]
