As soon as you got to the hospital you were informed he was out of surgery, but it's likely he wouldn't make it through the night. He had severe internal bleeding and crushed limbs, from saving a school bus on the way to a school trip when a villain attacked the bus. The children had all made it, but when Ash went to save the bus the villain hit him sending him into the side of a building.
You all stood in the hall as you were given the news before you and Haru were called into his room. He looked a little beat up but you imagined that under the blanket it was worse. He was awake but looked in pain "Hey...my beautiful family!" he coughed as you both ran over "Don't speak you need to rest!" you grabbed his hand as Haru clung to your leg "No. I need to..." he started coughing up blood and at that moment you didn't care. It didn't affect your stomach at all as tears were barely holding back.
"I need to say thank you...to you...I love you. Please don't be sad. I love you soooo much." he started to cry as you did as well "Haru...you're going to be the man of the house ok. Look after mummy for me, little man." he smiled as Haru hugged him. Looking out the door he saw the Todoroki's and just nodded. "Babe. Thank you for loving me and giving the best years of my life." he said weakly "No thank you...I love you please don't go..." your voice broke as he closed his eyes and the heart monitors beeped.
Doctors came rushing in as Shoto grabbed Haru out the room, as you held Ash's hand not letting go. He couldn't be gone you loved him and needed him. Who would teach Haru how to be a hero? You sat staring at him not able to understand the boy you met all those years ago at your favourite curry house, the one that stood back whilst you loved another person, the person who loved you and shared you with someone else, he was always supportive and you fell madly in love with him. 'He can't be gone...noo....can't' you were saying in your head but on the outside you were screaming in distress, as you tried to use your quirk to heal him, to bring him back almost draining yourself until Shoto had to run in and physically drag you out of the room, as you screamed and clawed at him to stay with your husband.
Your heart broke that day and you closed yourself off from your friends and family, the only thing that mattered to you now was the little boy that looked exactly like the man you loved. You worked from home, getting more staff in for the spa, Haru was off school but he was getting restless as he missed his dad but he wanted to see his friends.
It was a sunny day, the day you had to bury your husband, the man you loved, who you had this amazing bundle of joy with, and even though the sun was shining it was a dark day. Standing at the grave surrounded by your friends, family, as well as the pro heroes and sidekicks Ash had worked with over the years, you didn't take your eyes off the hole in the ground, as you held your son's tiny hand. Tears were falling but no more sound came out of your mouth just a trickle of tears that rolled down your cheeks, from under the sunglasses that covered your puffy tired eyes.
The only thing that broke you from the grave was when Haru pulled on your hand to get your attention. "Mummy...daddy isn't coming home?" he sobbed as if it had only just hit, everyone within earshot including your dad with his wife, the Bakugou's including Katsuki which you hadn't noticed was there, the Todoroki's, as well as everyone else you and Ash had gone to school with.
The moment his tiny voice uttered them words you fell to your knees on the dry grassy ground pulling the little boy in close to your body, with your tears falling on his tiny black suit but your voice trying to stay strong. "He isn't little man..." you pulled away removing your sunglasses as everyone watches on in silence, even two vibrant red eyes covered with their own shades with the odd tear falling for his friend and his family that he'd left behind. The woman he never stopped loving as he couldn't do anything to make you happy right now and it broke him to see you this way, as he was listening in to you talking to your son.
Your eyes were stained with supposed waterproof mascara "No he isn't Haru...but my daddy told me that my mummy is in here!" as you said it you felt your dad kneel beside you, looking at his daughter and grandson as you tap a hand over your heart. "So....whenever you miss daddy little man...you just remember he will always be watching you grow into an amazing man like him and he will always be in mine and your hearts" you commented placing your hand over the little boys heart, leaning your forehead against his, as tears fell to the ground from your (e/c) eyes and the ocean blue eyes of your son, for what felt like a lifetime whilst the only thing that could be heard was the sobbing of you and the people around.
Haru was the one to break the silence as he moved close to the edge of the grave as you reached out to him, to make sure he didn't fall in. Clearly, other people had also panicked as you felt movement next to you. Looking up you saw spikey ash blonde hair and then watery red eyes as he lifted his shades to look at you, but as he was about to speak Haru started to sing what you and Ash had always sung to him even in your belly and every night before he went to sleep.

As he began to sing you fell back sitting on the grass pulling the little boy in holding him closely, as you both sang to the grave that had your husband in, in his eternal sleep. As everyone watched on including the man standing next to you, it broke them and those who had held tears back were in floods of tears. As you finished Haru looked into your eyes, his mummy, the strongest woman in the world.
"It's going to be ok mummy...daddy can go to sleep now" he commented before hugging you closely as you glanced over at the priest to continue, as you sat there on the grass holding your precious boy. Katsuki didn't leave your side for the whole ceremony, but never once spoke to you, as he knew it was too much as all he wanted to do was be there for you, as Ash had once asked him to look after you when he wasn't around.
As the funeral finished people moved on to the wake, as you sat staring at the newly dug grave another hero that died protecting whose that needed help. You were proud of your husband as you sat there remembering all the fun things you had done together over the years. Katsuki stood there a while, as did a few others before you tried to stand up with Haru in your arms, who had fallen asleep from the emotional day that he'd had. Struggling to get up and not wake him, you felt two different pairs of hands on either side of you, accepting the help not wanting to wake your son.
Turning to face the people you see two sets of red eyes looking at you. One of Eijirou Kirishima and one of Katsuki Bakugou, staring at you about to speak before you spoke first. "Thank you...I need to get my son home" was all you whispered as you began to walk away. Shoto and Momo joined the two men watching you "Thank you" they sighed as they also had to get their own children home as they followed in your direction.
"You ok, Bro?" Kirishima turned to Bakugou "No...I wish...I could have stopped this from happening...All I wanted...all I ever wanted was her to be happy..." he shrugged looking at the grave before they left to the wake, in which they informed everyone you had to go home due to Haru being asleep.
A month after the funeral you had a letter stating that Ash had taken out a life insurance policy leaving you and Haru with a large sum of money, that you didn't have to work if you didn't want to. You wanted your husband though, you would be poor if you could have him back but you would be happy.
After three months your dad persuaded you to let Haru back to school but your dad, as well as Mitsuki, would take him. Sitting at home watching movies with Haru it was around 5.30pm when your dad and his wife, the pro hero Midnight came in. You didn't see the Todoroki's any more or anyone else to be fair since the funeral.
"You're a bit dressed up for a movie night?!" you commented looking at the two people "It's the reunion. We think it would be best if you came out. You need to get back to a normal life." Your dad walked over giving Haru a hug. "I'm not feeling it," you said as you went to make them a coffee. "It's a shame..." your dad smirked at you before continuing his sentence "but you don't have a choice!" your dad commented as you noticed Midnight lift here sleeve and her quirk activating, dropping you off to sleep.
"She is going to be mad when she wakes up." the woman turned to her husband. "I know...but I can't watch this anymore...can we Haru?" he turned to his grandson "You drew that picture for mummy to get the other pro heroes to sign?" he smiled as the boy looked at what was happening not saying anything as he grabbed a picture he had drawn with some pro heroes on that you had gone to school with.
"Good boy! Hun go get her ready. I'll watch little man." he said as you were dragged upstairs. You woke up to feel someone curling your hair "Don't blame me...it was your dad and Mitsuki's idea!" the black-haired woman commented. "Also, Haru would like some signatures," she commented as she passed you the picture with a drawing of Red Riot, Charge Bolt, Deku, Ground Zero and many more on.
"Ok I get it...I know you guys are worried. I'll do this for Haru." you sigh as she finishes your hair and make-up. Your outfit was pretty risky but classy, you didn't care as you didn't want to go. As you walked downstairs Haru was talking to your dad about how he was worried, as mummy never smiled anymore. Putting on a brave face "So...how do I look little man?" you smiled making him turn before running over "Mummy you look so pretty!" you picked him up kissing his tiny forehead "I'm sorry I promise I will smile more ok. I just miss daddy so much." You smiled.
"I know but remember mummy he is right here!" he said as he tapped your heart. "You know what little man. You are right and I bet he will watch mum get super drunk tonight. What would he say when mummy was drunk with Aunty Momo?" you smile "He would say mummy is a silly woman because she can't handle her sauce!" Haru laughed as you swung him around making him giggle before stopping and holding him close to you. "Who's autograph do you want the most in case they are busy, little man? Let me guess Ground Zero?" you smile as he nods.
"Oh you should make grandpa watch the Pokémon movie he loves it sooooo much, Haru." you smirk as you dad shakes his head "YAYYY!" Haru yelled as you and Nemuri aka Midnight start laughing. "Well boys don't wait up me and your hot mummy are going to be on the shots!" Nemuri laughed as a cab turned up. In the car you didn't say much "You know your dad went through the same thing right?" the older woman commented. "I know. You're right. God, it's weird." you smile looking at your hands.
At the party, the members of Class A are stood together "You think she will come?" Momo turned to her husband. "I don't think so...She hasn't spoken to anyone in months." Shoto commented as Midoryia stood there. "Yeh I can imagine. I don't know what I would do." Katsuki just stood next to Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero with a beer.
"What do I say if she comes?" he said, "Sorry for your loss!" Kirishima commented "She most likely won't come though." he said as a few people who knew you were commenting. Mei and Ryos walked over to the Todoroki's "Hey. Have you heard from (f/n)? She isn't answering any of our calls or opening the door?" Mei said as everyone listened in. "No, we were at the hospital when he died it was awful. I had to drag her out whilst Momo held Haru!" Shoto remembered you clawing and screaming at him. He felt that's why you couldn't face him.
The music was loud as you and Nemuri walked in "Look just try to have a good night. I'm sure your friends will be here!" she smiled looking to a group of people talking, of course, you didn't know it was about you. "Can't I just stay with you?!" you attached yourself to her arm nervously as the vast number of people in the room made you nervous. You had dropped a lot of weight since Ash's death, but somehow the older woman had made you look a million dollars.
"I'll have the first drink with you...but I will be stood with the rest of the teachers!" Nemuri was being patient but wanted to hit the drink hard. "I can stand with them too!" you smiled nervously "Ok for a little bit. Geez are you a kid again?!" she laughed as a few people turned around you dropped your head clinging to her. You knew people were staring at you but at that moment in time, you wanted a drink.
"Come on!" she started dragging you towards the bar as your friends watched you walk past them all with your head down. "We will have 10 shots of Sambuca! Also, a triple bourbon and coke and I'll have sex on the beach!" Midnight placed the order as you fidgeted feeling eyes on you.
