CH. 49 Mama's called
(Jake POV)
I was in the shower letting the water run all over me.
The conversation we had earlier was a very important conversation that needed to be had.
What we had planned to do for ourselves to have closure, what we planned to do with our different form of revenge.
I was happy that Meredith did what she had to do to keep her and me alive because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be alive and if it wasn't for her and Devinichi then my siblings and I wouldn't be; where, who and what we're today.
We all would have been dead most likely or be taken by the wrong people.
I was grateful for them, I was grateful to be here with Olivia.
You know, you can grateful for many things but that doesn't mean you'll stop forgetting the unforgivable things you have gone through.
That doesn't mean you'll forget the feelings that were left with you when it happened.
Yes, I was grateful to be saved but that doesn't mean I'm not angry at what was the caused of the reason I needed to save in the first place.
The shower was getting cold and I was fine with that, I was fine with cold showers.
You know, most people don't know how easy it is for some people to block their emotions.
Some people are so skilled that they can have the whole world thinking that they're happy but they're far from being anything but happy.
I never wanted to go through that route, so I stopped that from happening.
I didn't want to grow up with so much hatred in me because of what happened, no I had refused to let that happen to me because I was already affected in ways by what has happened, why give it more power.
You can either let what you have gone through make you weaker against it or overpower it and use it to make you stronger while defeating the awful feeling it has given you and how much pain it has caused you to feel.
I wanted many people to know that which is why I like the idea that she and I came up with together. I like the ideas she came up with.
I honestly am so glad that Olivia is my partner.
I got out of the shower, feeling the droplets of water fall from my body and hit the floor.
I grabbed a towel and started drying myself, I was pretty disappointed that she didn't join me in the shower but I didn't let it get to me because she was still here with me.
I wasn't going to lie, I just always want her and I always want to be around her.
Maybe it's the clingy side of me or maybe it's just how much feelings I have for her.
Maybe it's because of how I love her.
I ran my fingers through my hair styling it as I looked in the mirror at myself.
Honestly, Olivia is drop dead Beautiful and it surprises me every second that she's in love with me.
I felt like anyone could feel like they're not good looking enough or good enough for certain people, I admit I had actually felt like that a little bit. Not understanding what such a Beautiful woman saw in me but she simply erased those thoughts from my head without even knowing it.
I got out of the bathroom, walking in the bedroom to start getting ready to dress so I could go back to being near my Queen.
After I was done getting dress, I walked out of the room to find Olivia sitting on the couch and talking to the laptop.
I raised a brow, wondering who she could be talking to until I realized it wasn't my laptop she was using, it wasn't my laptop that she was talking to someone on.
I walked towards her and she looked up probably noticing the curious look on my face.
"Natasha, my boyfriend that I was talking about you just came into the living room, is that okay with you?" Olivia asked and my eyes widen surprisingly that, that's who she was talking too.
"Yes, it's fine." A woman voice came from the Laptop.
I slowly moved towards the couch to sit next to Liv, my eyes widen at the woman who was on the screen.
I nodded my head. "Hello, I see you've changed your looks. Smart choice." I said and she nodded her head
"Yes, there are people out there who most likely want me dead. I have to stay safe." She said and I nodded my head agreeing.
"I'm sure you're out of reach right now," I said and a small smile appeared on her face.
"Only to some people." She said Olivia laughed.
"Yeah, including Tuckers. He's been a wreck with the whole situation and all." Olivia said and Natasha's eyes widened just a little but her composure returned.
"Is that so? I'm going to have to cut this conversation short but I will be in contact with you soon again. Olivia, you can update your boyfriend on what I have told you. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me and to listen to me, it means a lot." She said and Olivia gave her a smile.
They said their goodbyes and the conversation ended.
Liv places the laptop screen down and turned to look at me.
She ran her fingers through my hair and I leaned into the touch.
"You know I would have joined you in that shower if I wasn't talking to her." She said and I smiled.
"I know baby," I said and she laughed.
"I noticed that you like being around me a lot and it's cute, though it was the whole mating thing until I realized that you were sort of like that before." She said and I chuckled still loving the feeling of her running her fingers through my hair.
"Can I lay on your lap while you do that?" I asked and she laughed.
"Of course baby." She said patting her lap and I happily placed my head on her lap, laying down and facing her.
"So what is it that you and Natasha talked about?" I asked as Liv continued to do what she was doing before.
"She said she could help us. I offered us to help her too." Liv said and I raised a brow.
"She offered to help us?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"Natasha is a smart woman, she knows how to do many things and I can sense that coming from her. I don't know who she was before Jeff took her but maybe he knew something about her and he wanted that. She's offered to help us and I think her help will help us quite a bit." Liv said looking down at me, we made eye contact.
"You think she can find things out that my people couldn't?" I asked her and she touched my face softly.
"I'm saying it's worth a try." She said and I nodded my head.
"Of course will help her also," I said and her eyes widen, I raised a brow.
"Did you think I would object?" I asked her and she smiled.
"I just love it how you listen to me and agree with me from listening to the reasons and what I feel about them." She said and I grabbed her hand that was touching my face.
"Of course, you're my partner and my soul mate. Our souls are one." I said and her smile widen.
A phone was ringing and it took me off guard as Olivia handed it to me.
It was my phone and the contact name that was on the screen cause me to smile.
"Ready to talk to the woman that saved me as a kid?" I asked Liv and her eyes widen as I answered the phone.
"Hello, Mama."

I love when allies start to form together, because I know what's coming and it's great when people who can understand each other and what they have gone through, coming together to help each other and work on many things together. Can't wait for the next chapter.
