"I think she may be the strongest hero ever!!!"
"I wish I had that quirk! It seems so cool!!!"
These were all things you heard on a day to day basis. Ever since the sports festival your full potential was noticed and many people saw you as one of the greatest future heros.
You wish you could just once say: 'I didn't do this becasue I wanted too'. Which was true up until about three months ago.
You never aspired to be a hero, you simply wanted to just be a normal person with your quirk. Your parents were the ones pushing you. They never abused you, they just expected you to live up to be a better hero then they were.
You trained for countless hours at a time to the max, basically forgetting your bodily needs from time to time. You worked so long and hard for UA that by the time you got here your routine stuck with you in a not so good way.
You would come to school exausted and your muscles strained from the physical and mental activites you had done the night before. Your body had no rest, it ran on one meal a day and you barley slept.
The reason you suddenly had the urge to actually become a hero started when you got into UA. Not becasue of the school itself, but becasue of someone in your class.
Mezo Shoji.
He was a very tall boy with three arms on each side that were all connected by peices of skin. His hair was a light cream color and his mouth was covered by a piece of fabric. As soon as you walked into the room he caught your eye. But you also caught his.
You quickly became best friends and he became your reason for actually trying. Somewhere along the lines of course you grew feelings for him which confused you.
You talked with Ochaco about your guy feeling and she confirmed it as you definatley liking him. You took the next night and laid in your bed for hours (for the first time in years) and just stared at the ceiling.
But now it was present day, this crush had been going on for a month, and you were pretty sure it was the hardest secret to keep on the planet. So, to get the thought off of your mind, you trained more.
You practically dragged yourself into the classroom making everyone watch as your baggy-eyed figure trudged along until you reached your seat across from Shoji. You plopped down and rubbed your eyes, not noticing the concerned glances from everyone in the room.
This had been going on for two weeks, and people were getting worried.
The entire class felt like it was a dream as you sat in a haze writing things down that you couldn't even read.
Soon the bell rung, and it took a moment for the ringing to stop in your ears. Lunch time....great. Everyone passed you with a worried glance as they headed down to lunch.
Well, everyone except Shoji.
"(Y/n)." He spoke. You were sure you replied, but apparently not. "(Y/n) you need to eat. You also look exausted." You braced yourself to stand and pushed up with force.
"I'm fine Sho-" you lost your balance and toppled on to Shoji.
Well that woke you up.
Your face started to burn with emberassment as you were cradled in his arms. His big, muscular, loveable arms. "(Y/n) I am going to take you to Recovery Girl if you don't eat and get sleep." You shook your head and stood up, gently pushing off of his chest.
"No, I'll be fine Sho. I promise." He sent you a glance and sighed.
"Do you want to walk with me to lunch?"
You rubbed the back of your neck. The feeling was coming back. You needed your distraction or else you would spill.
"I'll catch up in a bit. Okay Sho?" Shoji gave you a questioning glance and then headed to lunch. You let out an audible sigh once he left the room.
You weren't alone for long until Denki came bursting into the room.
"Oh hey (Y/n)." You replied with a nod.
"I forgot something in my bag, you wanna walk with me down to lunch? Everyone is sitting together today."
You shook your head and started heading for the door. "I am going to go train for a bit. Thank you though."
"Oh....alright. Well don't overwork yourself!" He shouted as you stopped in the doorway. "Yeah....I won't."
Denki headed down to lunch getting aa greeting from everyone. But as soon as he sat down, Shoji interjected.
"Kaminari, where is (Y/n)?" Denki gave him a sorry look, "She said she was going to go train again...."
Everyone at the table was quiet. The reason they had been sitting together was to talk about solutions and how they could help you.
Shoji slammed his fork on the table and lowered his head. No one could see it, but small tears outlined his eyes. "Is it me? Am I the reason she does this to herself?" Everyone looked at him sadly.
"She only trains after I talk to her or get near her. Why does she do that?"
In that moment it clicked in Ochaco's head. You trained as a distraction from him. From your feelings. She knew it was shitty of her, but she had to do it for everyones sake. Especially yours.
"Shoji. (Y/n) likes you."
Shoji's head shot up. In fact, all of your classmates head shot up at her statement.
"That might be the reason why. She is afraid of you finding out, so to bury it, she trains more and more to get it off of her mind."
Not even a second later, Shoji was out of his seat and running to the gym.
By the time he got there he was a mess and out of breath. He practically birsted through the doors which scared the shit out of you.
"Shoji what are you-"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
You went silent. Tell him what? Did he find out? How did he find out you never even gave it away? Or did you?
"(Y/n)....you don't have to distract yourself from your own feelings!"
Your eyes began to well with tears.
"I know that your feelings aren't the onky reason why you train, but you are going to hurt yourself. I'm not going to leave you alone wether you have feelings for me or not becasue I love you!"
By now your eyes were red a puffy from the tears falling down your face. You collapsed down to your knees on the floor and everything you felt suddenly bursted out like it was in a cage.
"I didn't even want to be a hero when I came here! But you changed that for me and a month ago I-I got these weird feelings and I was really scared. When I found out I liked you I didn't know what to do so I trained to be the strongest hero and I-"
You felt yourself be enveloped in a warm embrace. It was a new fuzzy sensation, Shoji hugging you.
You never knew it was so easy for something so simple to wash away the fear and doubt. But it was. You wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him back as he tightened his grip.
"I love you Shoji!" You sniffled in his ear.
"I love you too (Y/n)."

16 years later
You sat on the couch, waiting for your husband of 6 years to get home.
You spent the time cleaning and dancing like a drunk person. You soon heard the door knob jiggle and your smile grew as Shoji walked into the house.
You ran up to him amd tackled him in a hug.
He laughed and you gave him a kiss on the cheek before making light conversation. "How was your day at work?"
"Indescribably boring." He said lowly making you laugh. "Well I made you some tea so just relax."
He took that as a hint to sit down which he happily did. You handed him the tea and made your way back to the kitchen.
"Oh yeah, and Shoji?"
"Yes?"
"I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant."
