Peter woke up the next morning in his room. It's been a year since Bucky took him in. During the year, Bucky and Peter became good friends and eventually Bucky told Peter about the winter soldier. When Peter found out he was, shocked to say the least but he helped Bucky get better. Peter knew someone who could get rid of the trigger words in Bucky's head. After a few failed attempts, many bruises, and sleepless nights for the helper, they won and officially rid of the Winter Soldier. Now all that was left was James Buchanan Barnes. A little before Peter had turned 18 child services tried to take him but Bucky talked to them and he then became Peter's legal guardian. Peter stood up happy. Last night Bucky hadn't come back and Peter was worried. But of course Peter texted him and asked where he was and all. Bucky replies saying he was going to be home tomorrow. Usually when Peter comes back from Patrol Bucky would be home sleeping. But these past few nights Bucky hasn't been home and Peter's been getting worried. He knew Bucky had a job but in the morning, never at night, and Peter was getting tired and of losing sleep at night cause he worried about Bucky. Peter sighed, and decided to get dressed. He went to the kitchen and made breakfast for him and Bucky. He texted Bucky earlier and he said that he was going to be home in a few minutes, which was a 2 room, 2 bathroom apartment. They also had a living room and kitchen. Peter heard the door open as he put the food on the table. His senses tingled and he grabbed the gun under the table and quickly turned around to see the Avengers there with Bucky. Peter clicked off the safety confused on what they were doing here.
"Why are you here?" Peter asked, voice devoid of emotions. Tony didn't know Peter's secret, No one but Bucky and his best friend Ned.
"Don't worry Peter we're having guests." Peter shot Bucky a small smile before putting the safety back on and putting the gun back.
"Should I make more breakfast or....?" Bucky nodded. Peter walked off finishing the pancakes and giving everyone a plate. In the apartment there was Steve Rogers aka Captain America, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Bruce Banner aka Hulk, Thor, Natasha Romanoff aka Black widow, Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, Bucky and Peter. Steve Tony and Bruce where sitting on the blue couch in the middle of the living room. Thor sat in a chair next to the couch, Clint and Natasha sat on a couch, and Tony Bucky and Peter sat in the dining room. Peter nodded to Tony who nodded back. Tony knew Peter because of his internship. What he was a teenager who should be in collage of course Tony was going to bring this kid in.
"So you going to tell me why Earth's Mightiest heroes are here or do I need to put a bullet in someone's brain?" Peter asked bored. They looked at Peter shocked except Bucky who laughed. Steve smiled when he heard Bucky laugh.
"Nah kid they want me to live with them. And I asked them to help me move. And you're coming with." Peter stopped.
Crap. How am I going to be out as Spider-Man.? You know what its fine I'll find a way, I always find a way. But what if I get hurt one day. I can't just go to Bucky but-
Peter looked up when he heard a snap. He took the nearest gun and held it up. When he saw Bucky looking at him worried Peter realized he had snapped his fingers to get Peter out his trance.
"I-I'm fine sorry I spaced out but u-uh yeah that sounds good." Peter said putting the gun away, which so happened to be the one under the table again. Bucky looked at him worriedly. It Peter just shook his head before getting up and putting the dishes away. He rinsed them and left them to dry before he walked to his room.
With Bucky.
"Is the kid ok?" Tony asked. I nodded
"Yeah he spaces out when he starts thinking about things. It happens a few times, just got to snap him back before he gets too spaced out and stays like that till he gets out of it himself. Longest time he stayed spaced out was 8 hours. I had to call in and say he was sick. He sometimes forgets where he is for a split second before it comes rushing in and he remembers." Bucky finished. The others looked shocked.
"He looked troubled" Natasha spoke up. I hoped she wouldn't realize but I guess she did. I ran a hand down my face thinking of a lie quickly.
"It's his Ex-girlfriends anniversary in a few days. Died about 3 years ago I believe, before I took him in." Technically is wasn't all a lie. The death day was coming up but in a month.
"Wow. That's just, wow" Bruce said speaking up for the first time. Everyone nods.
"He seems like he could handle himself. Especially with guns. Might telling us about that Bucky?" Clint asked. He tenses remembering the night about 3 months after he stopped Peter from jumping off the building Peter was held at gun point, shot in the chest. Thankfully he hadn't died and lived. It was a near death and Bucky remembered it all how Peter begged saying how he didn't want to go and how sorry he was. (Sorry) Bucky stayed silent.
"It's because I nearly died to one." Everyone's heads snapped up to Peter who must have been standing there the whole time.
"When did you get there?!" Clint and Natasha said having their hands ready to pull out there guns.
"About an hour ago. I finished packing my shit-
"Language-"
"- and decided to see what you were doing." Peter finished glaring at Steve who had interrupted him. Steve chuckled nervously.
"What do you mean you've nearly died to one Son of Barnes?" Thor boomed. Bucky's face turned red and Peter laughed.
"I was held at gun point. Shot in the abdomen. - Peter lifted up his shirt to show a scar, that didn't happen to the fact he was held at gun point. That had happened years ago when he was still getting used to Spider-Manning and got pretty hurt. First time getting shot. He was careful not to show any other scars. - got out ok and Bucky took care of the wound. Ever since he decided to teach me how to use guns and stuff. We go to a shooting range every Saturday. Anyways my stuffs ready, Bucky I'm guessing you have your stuff ready?" Peter asked Bucky nodded.
"Alright. Let's go."
2 years later.
After 2 long years of living with the Avengers, Peter still was able to keep his secret. Till today. After long hours of fighting Task Master the Avengers where loosing. Vision was in a box he couldn't shift through. Bruce was knocked out cold. And all the others were tied up in something. None of them could break out. They all tried. Tony with his blasters. Steve with his shield. Bucky with his arm. Everyone tried but nothing. Peter watched as they struggled to get out.
"Just tell me your identity Spider-Man and your team mates will be free." Task Master practically laughed. Did I forget to mention Spider-Man joined the Avengers? But he wasn't always with them. Cause he still had his internship and had to be Peter Parker. Bucky's eyes widened looking into Peter's mask scared. Peter silently looked away from Bucky and started walking towards Task-Master. He had hurt his team. His family. Task-Masters eyes widened when he realized how silent Spider-Man had been. Every time he fought something or someone and he went silent, people and villains knew they were in trouble. Civilians started yelling out to Peter telling him to just take the mask off. But he wouldn't cause oh ho ho ho he was pissed. Task-Master started running the other way when Peter shot a web at him stopping him from moving. Peter took his time walking towards the man who was struggling to get out of the webbing. Peter took the remote off the man and pressed the green button that made the Box disappear and the thing keeping his team tied up, disappear. Peter didn't have enough time when his mask was ripped off. He heard gasps when Peter turned around to Task-Master who had taken off his mask. Peter was angry and that was shown on his face. He punched the man out cold. Peter fell to his knees holding his mask in one hand and his abdomen in the other. Somehow one of taskmaster's swords pierced right through Peter before he could knock him out. Peter felt Bucky at his side in seconds. He looked up at the man scared.
"They know B-Bucky they know." Peter's voice quivered.
"Hey it's ok its ok we have to get you to the med-bay -
"BUCKY THEY KNOW WHO I AM- what are we going to do, oh god what if they hate me? What if-
"Calm down Peter! Let's worry about your health ok? I need to take out the sword. Just please." Bucky slowly put a hand on the sword. Peter put the mask in his mouth and bit in it when Bucky yanked it out. Peter's screams where muffled but god they were still loud and pain filled. Tears formed in his eyes as he put both hands on the wound. The others must have snapped out of there trance cause they were by Peter's side in seconds. Steve picked him up as Tony put pressure on the wound. Black spots started appearing in Peter's vision as voices started to get muffled.
"Peter! Keep your eyes open for me ok! Peter! PETER!" Tony went into Peter's line of vision looking scared. Peter smiled coughing up blood. That was the last thing Peter saw and heard then Black.
Several days later (8 to be exact)
Bucky hasn't slept since Peter passed out from blood loss. Tony did a press conference telling the people who Spider-Man really was but also threatened them that if they didn't leave him, his friends and school alone than they would have a taste of Tony Stark's lawyers. Bucky was currently passing outside Peter's door. He took a deep breath and walked in to see him still asleep. He sat in the chair next to Peter and took his hand in his metal and flesh one.
"Come on Pete your strong you can beat this. You survived so much. Your parents death, your uncles, your aunts, your girlfriends, hell you nearly suicide but you survived that please wake up." By now Bucky was sobbing. Peter squeezed Bucky's arm reassuring. Bucky's head snapped up meeting eyes with Peter who was giving him a small smile.
"I'm a Barnes remember? We don't die easy. Heh" Peter laughed slightly than coughed and groaned in pain.
"God why do I feel like shit."
"Probably because you got stabbed" Bucky and Peter jumped turning their heads to see all the Avengers at the doors. And by that I mean:

"How long have you been standing there" Bucky asked fearfully.
"The second you walked in. We wanted to check on you." Natasha stated
"Yeah but what's this about Peter trying to commit suicide." Steve asked. Peter looked out the window quiet.
"Well..... Uh. You see-" Bucky started but was caught off guard by Peter.
"I tried killing myself. After I couldn't save Aunt May from the building I was going to jump of a building when Bucky stopped me. I slipped and fell but I caught on the ledge before I died. Bucky helped me up. That's how we met. Around a month after he adopted me and I became Peter Barnes. I became depressed but Bucky helped me and when he told me about the winter soldier I knew someone who could help get rid of him for good." Peter stated, voice devoid of emotion. He had a blank stare but a few tears escaped his eyes. Everyone went into a group hug.
"We love you Peter. Don't forget that ok? Ever. You mean the world to us, never forget that."
Peter smiled as he hugged back his family. He was safe and happy and that's all that mattered.

It was raining that night when Tony found him. Tony landed the suit and ran towards the body checking for a pulse. When he got a clear shot of the face he gasped.
"PETER!" He kept checking for a pulse but found none. Tears formed in Tony's eyes as he picked up the boy who was still in his suit. He picked up the note and gun and got into the suit. He picked up Peter's dead body and flew to the tower. Steve had found Bucky and Tony wanted everyone to finally meet Peter and to reveal the identity of Spider-Man to them and the world. But when Karen hacked FRIDAY to alert Tony about Peter. He was in His suit in seconds flying as fast as he could. But not fast enough. Tony landed on the pad as his suit disappeared around him he speed walked into the tower to not get drenched. When the team heard the suit land they were ready to meet Peter when they were met with a heart breaking sight. A teenage boy in a Spider-Man suit with a bullet in his head. He had curly brown hair that was drenched and dull brown eyes. Tony dropped the gun and note as he pulled peter closer to his chest not caring about the tears going down his face or the fact that the press had stopped abruptly when they saw the dead boy.
"T-this is him?" Bruce asked. All Tony could do was let out a sob in reply.
"He killed himself. Omg." Natasha covered her mouth in shock as a few tears went down her face. Bruce pulled her into a hug. Bucky walked up to Tony and looked at the boy.
"I've met him before." Everyone had tears in their eyes. They stopped when they heard Bucky speak. Tony looked shocked.
"I wanted to die but he stopped me. Stayed with me till I was asleep. Checked on me every week. We would stay up and talk about movies or video games. His aunt just died in the apartment fire that happened in queens. I'm guessing he couldn't save her in time so he ended it." Bucky said tears going down his face. He picked up the note in a shaky hand and read aloud.
"It says:
To whoever it may concern, on who I am, why I did it. Don't worry. I'm sorry you had to find me, but my name is Peter Parker, I am 17 turning 18 next month and I have no one. My parents died years ago when I was a kid. My uncle died a few years ago and now so did my Aunt. 2 of my girlfriends have died in the past 2 years. And now me. I know this isn't what they would have wanted. But I can't take it anymore, God has finally broken me. I am also known for my alter ego Spider-Man so I'm sorry to those who believed in me. I wasn't strong enough and I'm sorry. I know no one will miss me or forgive me but I will say it one last time.
I'm Sorry. - Peter Parker A.K.A. Spider-Man
"God Peter I would miss you- you were so fucking strong. You lost so-so much yet you always smiled and joked and oh god Peter. You had me" Tony sobbed whispering the last Part. Steve excused all the Press out as the Avengers mourned the dead Teenager. With how highly Tony talked about the kid, they were ecstatic to meet him. Apparently the kid was the reason Tony stopped drinking, his PTSD Anxiety and other things became easier to handle. Now only god knows if Tony will go back to his old ways because Peter's gone. They just hoped he wouldn't.
8 Days later.
The Avengers watched the casket get lowered into the ground. There where people there who Peter helped but there was also Peter's friends MJ and Ned who were crying. Everyone was crying. A young hero took his life because they didn't believe they were strong enough. They didn't believe they were worth it. He didn't believe he was worth living. A little girl walked up to Peter's grave and kissed it.
"Thank you for saving me from the fire Spider-Man. I don't know why you did it because I think you're awesome but thank you." Tony had tears streaming down his face. This girl was probably no older than 8. She walked up to The Avengers.
"Do you need hugs? Spider-Man told me hugs are the best things ever and that they can help someone who's crying." Tony nodded his head as he hugged the girl. Soon she hugged every Avenger and Pepper before waving and walking to her mom who had tears rolling down her face. Eventually everyone cleared out but Tony and Happy. Happy had also been affected. He may have not shown it but he cared for the kid and Tony god Tony loved the kid as if he where his own.
"I'm going to miss you Pete but I won't break my promise. I won't drink again and I'll take care of myself. I understand why you did it and I respect that but you had me. You always had me. I'll see you later Underoos........ I Love You." And with that Tony kissed the Tombstone goodbye before leaving with Happy.
