A/N: ꒰( ｀꒳')꒱Looooong ass chapter~ ∋━━o(｀∀'oメ）～→ Like really LOoOng! Happy belated birthday to our leader RM! I couldn't finish the chapter in time to greet him!
Eun-ha was walking barefooted on the wet sand as she talks with the injured stingray from earlier. It was close to dark and the waves were hushed as they poke Eun-ha's feet. "Don't smile at me, light on me. Neoege dagaseol su eopseunikka, naegen bulleojul ireumi eopseo.", she continues the song with humming and looks at the stingray that was in the water. "Good song right?", she lets out a long sigh and shrugs. "The boys are so talented. I can't even write my own song and yet, they include me to sing with them.", she turns to the stingray and her eyes almost came out of her eye sockets after seeing her owl nonchalantly standing on the flat sea animal. "Hotteok, you're a friendly animal aren't cha?", she laughs and squats down.
Maybe she was crazy. Maybe she was just too friendly. But ever since yesterday, she's been talking to animals a lot. She would talk it out with the 95-liners but she felt shy all of the sudden. Maybe because she didn't want to tell one of her boys that she's starting to feel embarrassed when a certain someone looks at her. It's not like this was the first time anyways.
"Come on Kyu. Hotteok's gotta go back.", Eun-ha beckons the owl to hop on her arm.
The owl slightly looks down, feeling a little sad and gently scratches the ray's surface. "Hoo."
"Come on." said Eun-ha again and scoops some water into her cupped hands to wet the animal. She smiles with her brows furrowed and chuckles.
And finally the owl sadly waddles his way up from her arm to her shoulder.
"Bye Hotteok. I really hope that we'll see you soon.", Eun-ha pats the stingray and walks through the water to help him swim to a less shallow spot to make it easier for him. She gives him one last affectionate kiss on the flat animal and then lets him swim away.
The boys gathered around the table outside with their drinks as they watch the dark, starry sky fall and listen to some soft music. Suga's attention was on the small figure of Eun-ha from afar with her owl, taking a walk along the beach. He slowly takes a sip from his beer bottle without his eyes leaving Eun-ha. And till the time hits where everyone decided to head to bed, he stayed, watching her.
She made her way up the slope and puts Kyu-yoon into his cage that was hanging by the bar's pillar. "Omo, speaking of the devil.", she grins and sits down next to the pool and looks at the glowing water. "Should I take that call for JB? I did kind of promise him that I was gonna call him."
Music was still playing and it happened to be The Truth Untold. She was addicted to it. But she hated her involvement with the song. She'd rather have it just Jin, Jimin, Jungkook and Tae. There was no need for her to be a part of it but then again, the boys insisted.
While she listens, she looks at her rippling reflection while slowly kicking her feet underwater. Her crystalline earring twinkled on the water, catching her attention. Her fingers touched the earring and she takes it off to study it on her palm.
The way it glistened made her smile unconsciously. She knew deep down, it was a very important item to her.
A flashback of her old rival Mi-suk appeared in her mind. The heels of the bitch stepped on an earring, crushing it to pieces. It was quite similar to what she has now.
But then, another scene flashed into her mind. A blurry vision of Tae-hyung crying and his cries were slightly deafened. She turns to the side to see her arm laying flat on the ground, dirty and bloody.
Another one quickly flashed as well. It was just a short scene. Suga's sad, betrayed and angry expression that seemed to be yelling at her but she couldn't hear anything. Well, she couldn't remember the words. Then her voice started echoing in her ears.
Te-tell hyung...I'm so-sorry. F-for... Every... T-thing. Tell him... I only... Love him... Tell him... It's my... Fault...
I'm sorry hyung!
It was my fault.
Everything was my fault.
The only man I will ever love in this world besides my father was a guy named Min Yoon-gi!
Eun-ha snaps back to reality, panting. "Fuck.", she stands up and hears Arthur barking. She turns around to see Arthur launching himself at her and her field of vision turned sideways as she drops the earring but reaches for it. Her eyes meets Suga's widened ones and she falls into the water.
Yoon-gi... I'm sorry for hurting you.
She remembered the thoughts of her old self before her eyes closed and before she was delivered to the hospital.
But then again, she snaps back to reality to see water bubbles in front of her. Her breath was running out and she started panicking.
A blurry figure swims towards her and grabs her face. She closes her eyes and she felt air was being given to her by her lips. Hands tangled themselves on her hair and on the curve of her back. She opens her eyes as her lips parted with the person's and Suga's gentle eyes gave her warmth.
His hand that was on in her hair made its way to her cheek, gently stroking her cheek with his thumb. But of course, their romantic moment was interrupted by Suga making a face that says, you pabo.
The two of them surfaced above the water, gasping for air. Eun-ha coughs out the water and rests her face on his shoulder. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs were doing the same thing to his waist. She was trembling.
"You idiot. What the hell were you doing?!", Suga looks up to her. "And don't bother blaming the dog for it!"
"I uh—", Eun-ha tried to speak but she was cut off as she retracts her head from his shoulder to face him and he continued to scold her.
"I seriously can't leave you alone without getting hurt. You could've drowned if I wasn't here you pabo!", he held her tight and buried his face on her chest, much to her embarrassment. "I can't lose you again. I'm fine with your memories gone but I can't lose you... Eun-ha, I won't ask you to remember anymore. Just don't make me lose you...", he looks up to her, with their faces so close to each other, his eyes were wet. Not because of their little submerge adventure underwater.
Eun-ha couldn't even get a word in. But unconsciously, her hands cupped both of his cheeks and she looks down to him in confusion. Her chest was in pain and her heart was beating really fast. It wasn't just her weird heart disease. This one was full on pain. "Stop looking at me like that.", she whimpered and her eyes started to water as well. "It hurts too much when you look at me like that. It's too painful.", she whispered and silently cried while stroking his cheeks.
"Eun-ha...", Suga's eyes widened then slowly close halfway. His grip went to her behind then one hand went up to her neck. "Please don't cry. I'm sorry that I keep on making you cry. Because of me, you ended up on that accident. Everything was my fau—"
"No. It was mine."
Suga flinches and looks at her in the eyes.
"Everything is still hazy. But I know it was my fault. So hyung...", Eun-ha leans her forehead against his. "Don't be sad anymore. Please.", she whispered.
Suddenly, she realizes that they were still in the water. And the only reason why she was not drowning was because Suga was holding her up by the behind.
"I wanna get out of the water.", she said. "My feet can't reach the bottom. And I can't swim so please hyung."
Suga was silent but he felt her trembling. "Eun-ha, I'm right here—"
"Hyung please—!", Eun-ha gasps as his lips gently touched hers. She stopped trembling.
A few minutes passed before their lips parted. It wasn't awkward. Surprisingly, it was comfortably quiet.
Eun-ha just stared at Arthur who was laying down on the edge of the pool wagging his tail and he watches them.
"As much as I want to stay here and not let you go, we wouldn't want to get wrinkly fromthe water.", said Suga as he slowly starts making his way to the stairs while holding her.
"Okay.", Eun-ha clings to him, flinching from the water movement and rests her head on his shoulder.
There was that piano tune playing on the speakers that sounded familiar to her but she couldn't figure what it was. Why the piano all of a sudden? Because she's trying to distract herself from her beating heart.
The two of them got out of the water in silence and took some towels behind the bar counter before making their way to the house's front door.
Eun-ha rapidly and effortlessly wiped a little bit of the wetness of her hair and tried to storm off but Suga pulls her back and starts drying her hair.
"Idiot. You'll slip if you're gonna go in there soaking wet. Hit the shower before going to bed.", said Suga as he scolds her.
Eun-ha nods and averts her eyes to the side while her head was being rubbed with a towel. "Alright. I'm tired. I'm going to bed after I shower.", she takes the towel from him and rubs her hair in his place and enters the house.
Suga does the same and the two of them went to go take their shower. Eun-ha used the one in her room which was the top floor, while Suga used the one on the second floor.
After Eun-ha got out of the shower, she went straight to her bed in a plain white shirt and black pajama pants that were covered in Kumamon prints.
Literally an hour later...
"Aish!", she hisses and lays flat on her back on her bed. She looks up to the canopy curtains around her bed and kicks her feet. "I can't sleep.", she groaned and cups her face. She was warmer than warm.
She thought about how their kiss felt so right. How calm it made her when she was panicking in the pool. Suga started soft with the kiss and she ended up responding to him naturally. And now that she mentioned it, she could've naturally responded to anything Suga did to her but she made AN EFFORT to avoid it.
Everything was so natural. Like it was meant to be.
Eun-ha shrieks on her pillow at the thought. "Fuck.", she sits up and combs her messy hair back with her fingers cuz screw hairbrushes that she never had to use. "I'm gonna go see if there's still some of Jun's leftovers.", she gets off her bed and approaches the door.
Before she could open the door, her gaze fell to the mirror on the side and she looks at herself. Then, she started to see things on the mirror.
Her and Suga were in the bathroom, brushing their teeth together and her head was leaning against his shoulder.
"Aish!", Eun-ha swats her hand in front of her face to wipe away her hallucination and quietly leaves the room.
As she makes her way down to the first floor, she heard a piano tune playing through someone's phone. She pokes her head put the archway and sees Suga leaning back on the couch with his eyes close.
Why is he still up?! It's like, twelve thirty!
Then, she sees a beer bottle on his hand.
This geezer! He's not drunk is he?
She sneaks to the kitchen and scans the covered food if there were any of the Hotteok and Bungeo-ppangs left. "I know we had some left. Where the hell did Jun put them?!", she whispers to herself and kept searching.
"Eun-ha, why are you still up?"
Eun-ha flinches and stops her search on the cabinet and look back in a scared manner. "Oh. Hi hyung.", she leans back on the counter and laughs nervously. "What are you doing here?"
Suga approaches her and and reaches for the cupboard above her. "I had to make sure Arthur is okay outside and here I am. Grabbing a glass. You?"
"Gr-grabbing snacks cuz I can't sleep.", she averts her eyes to the side and leans back as Suga leans closer to her.
"Hm.", Suga hums and takes out two glasses from the cabinet. "Did you hate it?", he said as he closes the cabinet and backs away from her.
Eun-ha was taken aback and she follows him with a little bit of distance between them. "Hate what?", she followed him back to the living room and watches him pour beer on two glasses on the coffee table as he sits on the couch.
Suga pats the empty seat next to him and held one glass to her. "Did what happened at the pool bother you?"
"Not really.", she mumbled as she sits down and takes the glass. "I'm not bothered by it.", she said in a hushed manner while looking at her reflection on the drink, blushing. "You know, you need to stop drinking like this. It's not good for your health.", she takes a couple of gulps. After she gasps, feeling refreshed, her eyes almost fell out after seeing Suga's glass, already empty.
"Oh? What should I drink instead then?"
"I don't know. Juice? Water?", Eun-ha looks at him, tilting her head. Her face was really close to a tomato. It's like her snow white skin never existed.
Suga gives her a blank look and gives her a gentle smile. "You really are still a lightweight.", he reaches for her and pats her head. "You know, you've tried so hard to beat me in drinking but you can't. And probably never will.", he pinches her cheek playfully.
"Ha?!", Eun-ha holds in her whines and slaps his hand. "You think I can't drink a lot?!"
"Nope.", said Suga with a smirk. "Finish your glass then. And I won't make fun of you about it for the time being,"
Eun-ha gulps at his challenge and looks at her drink. After gathering the courage to do so, she chugs her glass. And places the glass on the table, whimpering. "Ack!", she coughs. "It's so bitter.", her habits started changing and she eyes the half-empty bottle on the table. She takes it and finishes it too.
"Eun-ha, calm down. I'll stop teasing.", Suga grabs her wrist and stops her from drinking more.
"You're too nice to me hyung.", Eun-ha hiccups and sways left and right. "It's NOT fair.", she brings the bottle to her face and points at it accusingly. "You're bad for hyung. Go away."
Suga sighs and takes the bottle from her and puts it on the table. "Come on. You're drunk. Even though you didn't drink much."
"Nooo.", Eun-ha whines and leans back on the seat again, sighing. "I'm sleepy.", she turns her head to the side to look at him and reaches for him. She leans herself on his chest and closes her eyes, huffing. "You're so comfortable hyung... Just stay... Like... This...", and then she starts her soft snores.
"Eun-ha? Eun-ha.", Suga shakes her shoulders and with no signs of waking up, he gave up. Putting his glass on the table, he slides his arm behind her neck to support her head and cups the back of her head, stroking her hair.
Eun-ha purrs from his touch and wraps an arm around his waist. She was mumbling a couple of non-understandable words till some made sense. "It.. Would be nice... To do this again once... You win our deal..."
Suga's widened and turns to her.
"Don't buy... Me... A ring... Though. You... Are... All... I need to... Know that you... Love... Me.", she smiles and continued to snore.
