I was sitting on my rug doing homework. My dad came in. "Hey peanut can you come downstairs?" He asked, he looked like he was crying. "What's wrong?" I asked "I'm okay? Just please come downstairs, mom and dad need to talk to you and Bash." He said "Um okay." I said, I closed my laptop then stood up. I went downstairs and Bash and James were sitting with a empty seat next to him and I sat down. My mom was sitting across from me and she looked mad. "What's going on?" Bash asked "Your mother and I are getting divorced." He said "What? Why?" I yelled "I met another man." She said "Are you fucking with us?" Bash yelled "Bash watch your language." He said "Mom your cheating on him?" I yelled "Mary, Bash, you guys don't want me to be happy?" She said "I want you to be happy but I don't want you to cheat on dad." I said "How long have you been cheating on him? How many guys have you been with other than dad?" Bash yelled "Three Years, multiple men." She said "You know what Marie he treats you so well and he gives you everything, and you cheat on her?" James yelled "How could you do this to your children?" Bash yelled "Kids, we don't want to make you choose sides, we're going to have 50/50 custody." He said "Well I'm 22 I don't need to choose, I have my own apartment." James said "Well who do you think pays for that?" She said "Um dad, you don't work." I said "Yeah dad does." Bash said "And I'm old enough to pick, so is Bash because we're twins duh, I want to stay with my dad." I said "Are you serious?" She said "I want to stay with dad too." Bash said "Guys you need to be open minded about this." He said "Dad why the fuck are you defending her? She was unfaithful you don't owe her anything." I yelled "Mary Elizabeth Stuart! You will respect me." She said "You know what you can get the hell out or I will." I said "Mary I'm your mother." She said "Mom I will never forgive you for doing this to our family." I said "Your mother is moving out next week." He said "Let me guess she going to her mistress's house." Bash said "This is not Daniels fault." She said "Mom are you sick? Because you have been acting weird for months." I said "I'm better than ever, we're going to travel the world." She said "Jesus Christ! I'm staying at Francis's house until you got the hell out." I said then went up stairs, James and Bash followed after me and Bash jumped on my bed and James got on my couch. "What the hell, my whole life has been I lie, my mother was president of the pta and the perfect house wife! I always thought mom and dad had the perfect marriage but our mom is a whore." I said shoving clothes in my duffel bag. "Mary your going to leave us alone with them?" Bash said "Come stay in Francis's pool house." I said "And listen to you guys have sex all night? No thanks." He said "Well at least I'm not a whore and having sex with multiple men, just the one in committed too." I said walking into my bathroom, I stuffed all my bathroom stuff in a big lulu lemon bag. I went to my shower and grabbed all my shampoo and stuff. "Mary it's 11:00 at night he's probably sleeping." James said "No he always texts me goodnight I love you." I said then finished packing up all my stuff. "Dear lord Mary your being dramatic." She said "I'm leaving mom." I said "Mary it's freezing, just stay here." My dad said "Dad I love you, when you cut the bad things out of your life I will come back, this isn't about you it's about her." I said "Bye James, Bash, Dad I will miss you guys." I said then stopped through the snow in my rainbows. I went to Francis's front door and knocked on the door. "Hey." He smiled, he wasn't wearing a shirt only running shorts. He was sweating, he must have been in his work out room. God I love that body. "Can I move here for a week?" I smiled "Um sure, what happened?" He asked "My parents are getting divorced and my mom is a dirty mistress." I said "Oh my god come in, your shaking." He said, I walked past him and dropped my bags and jumped on his couch and wrapped a blanket over myself. He lit a fire then walked over to me and put his arm around me. "Well I'm very confused about what is going on, so do you wanna talk about it?" He asked "No, can we talk about it tomorrow? I just want to lay with you right now." I said "Okay." He said, he laid down and I got on top of him and pulled the blankets over us. I laid my head on his chest and he stroked my hair. "Everything is falling apart, everyone is leaving." I started crying "Well I'm here and I'm not going to leave." He said "I know, I love you so much." I held his hand. "I love you too." He kissed my forehead "Are you parents home?" I asked "No, they left today." He said "Well you have me to keep you company for the next week and longer if you want." I smiled "Thanks babe." He smiled "Francis." I said "What?" He asked "Do you have a boner right now?" I laughed "Okay, we haven't had sex in a month and a half." He smiled "I think it's time to end that streak." I smiled, he grabbed my thighs and picked me up. "This is good, I need a distraction." I smiled "then I will use my every trick to distract you." He smiled "Do That Please." I giggled
