Chapter 5-Portkey

Y/N's POV:

"Y/N, wake up," I heard Hermione whisper to me, as she started shaking my arm. I mumbled a small 'later' and then continued back to sleep, hugging my pillow tighter as I buried my face onto it.

I felt the surroundings fell to silence as I heard a few muffled voices in front of me, but I didn't mind much. But that silence suddenly was broken real quick.

"WAKE UP! WAKE UP, Y/N!" I heard Ginny and Hermione shout, jumping up and down on the bed that I was laying down as the two rapidly hit my head with a huge fluffy pillow.

"Urgh...! 'Mione! Ginny!" I said, as I felt my whole body instantly waking up and then, got the pillow I was hugging earlier and so, the pillow fight started between the three of us.

Hermione hit me on the side not too hard though, before I could get her back Ginny had already hit Hermione right in the face making her jolt backwards and sat down to the ground. Ginny laughed loudly, as I took this opportunity to slam the pillow to Ginny since she was off-guard. I hit her right in the chest also making her jolt backwards and sat down beside Hermione, as I raised my hands in the air with the pillow still in my hand in victory.

"I win!" I shouted, as Ginny tripped me by sliding her leg across mine making me fall backwards as Ginny's room echoed with our laughter.

Our laughs stopped, when the door burst open and saw Mrs. Weasley, still in her sleeping robe on.

"Good, you're awake already. Go on and get dressed, the others are already downstairs, hurry up dears! Breakfast is getting cold," said Mrs. Weasley, before shutting the door shut follows by footsteps going up the stairs.

The three of us stood up, as we all started to get dressed, with none of us talking, too sleepy to talk, which was quite surprising since earlier we were fully awake but now our eyes were getting a little droopy.

"What do you think is more Muggly from this two?" (don't know if that's even a thing but just go with it) asked Ginny, as she layed down two pair of outfits on top of her bed.

On the left side of the bed, a bright yellow sweater was layed down paired with some blue jeans that I think was Ron's old pair of blue jeans. On the right side, a white plain shirt was with a gray jacket paired with a pair of black jeans.

"I like the yellow sweater with the black jeans more," I said, as Hermione nodded in agreement. Ginny nodded as well and took the yellow sweater and black jeans to the other side of the bed and took the remaining clothes back to her dresser after folding it neatly.

Yawning and stretching our joints, the three of us walked down the stairs to the the kitchen where we see everyone, except for Charlie, Bill and Percy which I think will be Apparating to the World Cup.

"Why do we have to be up so early?" asked Ginny, rubbing her eyes as we sat down along with the others.

"We've got a bit of a walk," said Mr. Weasley.

"Walk? said Harry. "What, are we walking to the World Cup?"

"No, no, that's miles away," said Mr. Weasley, smiling. "We only need to walk a short way. It's just that it’s very difficult for a large number of wizards to congregate without attracting Muggle attention. We have to be very careful about how we travel at the best of times, and on a huge occasion like the Quidditch World Cup -"

"George!" said Mrs. Weasley sharply, and they all jumped.

"What?" said George, innocently.

"What is that in your pocket?"

"Nothing!"

"Don't you lie to me!"

Mrs. Weasley pointed her wand at George's pocket and said, "Accio!"

Several small bright colored objects zoomed out from George's pocket, as I felt a little sorry for Fred and George since they've been working on those things for a long time now. George tried to grab them back, but failed and went to Mrs. Weasley's outstretched hand.

"We told you to destroy them!" said Mrs. Weasley furiously, holding up what were unmistakably more Ton-Tongue Toffees. "We told you to get rid of the lot! Empty your pockets, go on, both of you!"

It was in fact a terrible scene, I knew that the twins have been trying to smuggle as many toffees out of the house as possible, but it only took Mrs. Weasley a few Summoning Charm to get them all from their pockets.

"Accio! Accio! Accio!" she shouted, and toffees zoomed from all sorts of unlikely places, including the lining of George's jacket and the turn-ups of Fred's jeans.

"We spent six months developing those!" Fred shouted at his mother as she threw the toffees away. I know that they've only been developing them for about two months, but they only made it seem six months so Mrs. Weasley could feel a little sorry for them, but this does not work one bit.

"Oh a fine way to spend six months!" she shrieked. "No wonder you didn't get more O.W.L.s!"

I felt real sorry for the twins, as I got an idea so I could help them a little bit, even just a little bit. I pulled out my wand secretly, as everyone was still focused on the scene. I also took one of my purse that have an Undetectable Extension Charm, and muttered a spell under my breath.

"Accio... Accio... Accio..." I muttered, as I felt my purse getting loaded by the toffees Fred and George had made.

All in all, the atmosphere was not very friendly as we took our departure. Mrs. Weasley was still glowering as she kissed Mr. Weasley cheek, whiles on the other hand, the twins, who had each hoisted their rucksacks onto their backs and walked out without saying a word to their mother.

"Well, have a lovely time," said Mrs. Weasley, "and behave yourselves," she called after the twins' retreating backs, as they did not look back or answer. "I'll send Bill, Charlie and Percy along around midday," Mrs. Weasley said to Mr. Weasley, as he, me, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny set off across the dark yard after Fred and George, which I clutched my purse on my hand tightly.

I looked back to everyone, before running up to Fred and George.

"Hey," I said, beside them, not looking at them but at the dark yard.

When the two of them did not answer, I sighed and passes them my purse. The two looked at me confused, as I kept my eye on where we were going.

"After Mum, you want us to carry your purse towards the World Cup - ?" said Fred, obviously furious about earlier.

"Open it," I said, as I groaned at them.

The two looked at me confused, but did what I said them to do. When they opened my purse, their faces smiled brightly.

"You're an actual saviour, Y/N," said George, as I shush him since he almost shouted it from excitement. The two walked inbetween me as they happily thanked me.

"Praise you, Y/N, praise you," they said in unison, as I stop myself from banging their heads together.

"Shut up! And don't tell anyone about this, especially Mrs. Weasley," I told them.

"What made you think that we'll tell Mum about this?" said Fred, smiling down at me.

"We're not that stupid," said George, as I chuckled whiles rolling my eyes at them.

"Besides, you kept your promise. You helped us," said Fred, still smiling.

"It's only a little bit," I said, shaking my head.

"What do you mean a little bit?" said George, raising an eyebrow.

"You sent us those list of ideas, remember?... Well, they're gone now since Mum got it, but besides that, you helped us a lot with this project," said Fred, as I smiled at them.

"And, we think that you're the only one who believes that our project to open a joke shop would be successful," added George.

"It may not be long, but you will hate me at some point," I mumbled to myself, as I looked down at the grass.

"What was that?" they asked, making me look up at them.

"Oh, I said it was nothing, I'm happy to help," I said, with a smile. "Now, I'll be keeping those toffees for now, since if anyone else see you with them you'll be once again doomed."

The two agreed, giving me back my purse, before I walked back beside Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny along with Mr. Weasley.

"What sort of objects are Portkeys?" said Harry curiously.

"Well, they can be anything," said Mr. Weasley. "Unobtrusive things, obviously, so Muggles don’t go picking them up and playing with them... stuff they'll just think is litter...."

We walked down the dark, dank lane a village, which I think is the village of Ottery St. Catchpole. The silence was only been broke by our footsteps, whiles the sky above us lightened very slowly as I still see the moon up in the sky.

I felt the cold breeze of the morning went pass by me, as I shiver from the cold. I griped onto the fabric of my sweater, whiles I crossed my arms onto my chest tightly.

We didn't have much breath to talk when we started climbing up the Stoatshead Hill, also trying to avoid a few rabbit holes, slipping on thick black tuffets of grass, whiles Mr. Weasley kept on looking down at his watch.

"Whew," panted Mr. Weasley, taking off his glasses and wiping them on his sweater. "Well, we've made good time - we've got ten minutes...."

Hermione and I climbed up the hill last, as I see Hermione clutching a stitch in her side.

"Now we just need the Portkey," said Mr. Weasley, replacing his glasses and squinting around at the ground. "It won't be big.... Come on...."

We all spread out, trying to find the portkey. Only minutes into trying to find it, there was a shout in the still air.

"Over here, Arthur! Over here, son, we've got it!"

Two tall figures silhouetted against the starry sky on the other side of the hilltop.

"Amos!" shouted Mr. Weasley, smiling and then walking up to the man who had shouted earlier, as the rest of us followed behind him.

Mr. Weasley shook hands with a wizard with a scrubby brown beard, who was holding an old moldy-looking boot in his other hand.

"This is Amos Diggory, everyone," said Mr. Weasley. "He works for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. And I think you know his son, Cedric?"

It was gonna be a lie if anyone who said Cedric wasn't attractive. Cedric Diggory was in fact an extremely handsome boy, and was around seventeen which makes him three years older than me. He was also a Seeker for the Hufflepuff House Quidditch team at Hogwarts.

"Hi," said Cedric, looking at all of us.

We all traded a small and tired 'hi' as well, whiles Fred and George merely nodded. They haven't yet, moved on when Hufflepuff beat Gryffindor at that one Quidditch match.

"Long walk, Arthur?" asked Mr. Diggory.

"Not too bad," said Mr. Weasley. "We live just on the other side of the village there. You?"

"Had to get up at two, didn't we, Ced? I tell you, I'll be glad when he's got his Apparition test. Still... not complaining... Quidditch World Cup, wouldn't miss it for a sackful of Galleons - and the tickets cost about that. Mind you, looks like I got off easy...." Amos Diggory peered around at the three Weasley boys, Harry, Hermione, Ginny and finally to me. "All these yours, Arthur?"

"Oh no, only the redheads," said Mr. Weasley. "This is Hermione, a friend of Ron's - and Harry and Y/N friends -"

"Merlin's beard!" said Mr. Diggory, his eyes widening. "Harry and Y/N? Harry Potter and Y/N Snape?"

Harry and I looked at each other before answering to Mr. Diggory, "Er - yeah."

I never really got used to people looking curiously at me and then their eyes trailing around my face with my huge white eye patch, trying to figure out why I was hiding my scar. I'm quite glad that Severus gave me an eye patch, since I absolutely hated my bright green eye and my huge scar, it was getting really annoying at some point especially when people look at you weirdly or curiously if they don't know your exact story about how you got your scar.

"Ced's talked about you, of course," said Amos Diggory. "Told us all about playing against you last year.... I said to him, I said - Ced, that'll be something to tell your grandchildren, that will.... You beat Harry Potter!"

I looked over at Harry and saw that he was still awkwardly standing there with nothing to say, since I know he didn't know how to respond to that. I also don't know if that's an insult on Harry or a compliment to his own son. I looked over at Cedric and saw him blush in embarrassment.

"Harry fell off his broom, Dad," he muttered. "I told you... it was an accident..."

"Yes, but you didn't fall off, did you?" laughed Mr. Diggory, slapping the back of his son. "Always modest, our Ced, gentleman... but the best man won, I'm sure Harry'd say the same,
wouldn't you, eh? One falls off his broom, one stays on, you don't need to be a genius to tell which one's the better flier!"

"Must be nearly time," said Mr. Weasley quickly, pulling out his
watch again. "Do you know whether we're waiting for any more, Amos?"

"No, the Lovegoods have been there for a week already and the Fawcetts couldn't get tickets," said Mr. Diggory. "There aren't any more of us in this area, are there?"

"Not that I know of," said Mr. Weasley. "Yes, it's a minute off.... We'd better get ready...."

He looked around at me, Harry and Hermione.

"You just need to touch the Portkey, that's all, a finger will do -"

With large difficulty, with our large bulky backpacks, the ten of us crowded around the old boot that Mr. Diggory was holding earlier.

We all stood there, clutching the old manky boot at different sides. Nobody spoke a word. It had only occurred to me that this looks weird if a Muggle would see us here the hilltop clutching on a old boot, along with two grown men.

"Three..." muttered Mr. Weasley, one eye still on his watch, "two... one..."

It happened immediately, I instantly closed my eyes as I felt myself, as well as everyone around me spin in circles. It was like I was riding in a really fast roller coaster, and then -

My feet slammed into the solid ground, whiles Hermione staggered beside me and fell over. The Portkey hit the ground near Harry's head with a heavy thud. I looked up in the sky and saw Mr. Diggory, Mr. Weasley and Cedric still standing, whiles everyone else was on the ground, including myself.

"Seven past five from Stoatshead Hill," said a voice.

I am so tired of school.

It hasn't even been a month and I'm already done. I hate school. I wish I could just go to Hogwarts already, where's my letter?! (I'm still waiting, and so are you).

Anyways, I hope you guys liked this chapter, I know it's quite short than the rest, but whatever.
