You hugged the man, arms wrapped tightly around him. You didn't want to let go. You were too scared to let go, and you would easily admit it.
"(Y,n)," he started. You looked up at him, arms still around him but looser. "You know I'm no safe."
"I don't care," you mumbled, pressing your face into his chest.
"Hydra is everywhere, the US government and almost every other government for that matter want me dead," Bucky said. "You know I'm not safe to be around."
"I don't care," you repeated. "James Buchanan Barnes, I want to be with you every second, you understand?" He just smiled softly.
"Of course I do."
"We're going sort everything out so quick so you can wake up," you said. There was a lump in your throat that made you choke on your words. "We're going to fix everything, love." He smiled at you and you managed to smile back.
It was then when you remembered Steve and T'Challa were in the room with you. Steve awkwardly cleared his throat.
"Are you sure about this?" Steve asked. Bucky let out a breath and reluctantly nodded.
"I can't trust myself so... going back under will be better for everyone until something is sorted out," he said.
Bucky glanced at you. Your eyes were red and puffy from crying.
"You never liked goodbyes," he whispered. "So I'll see you soon, right?"
"Yeah, I'll see you when you wake up," you said.
"Love you," he said. He placed a kiss on your lips.
"I love you too, Bucky."
You left before Bucky was put into cryogenic, not wanting to get even more upset at the separation.
"You are brave." Turning, you saw T'Challa and bowed your head.
"Thank you."
"But Mr Barnes will be fine soon, no doubt." You smiled slightly at his optimism.
"He will be," You said, feeling more sure of the help that Bucky would get.
