We were the last car to arrive at the café and before we all got out the car Harley kissed cherry and I kissed Shan. We all knew that we couldn't get caught because even though it was less pressure on getting caught there was tonnes more pressure on us to act differently around each other. I pulled away and I saw her expression drop so I kissed her again until I felt a hand on my shoulder that definitely wasn't Shan's as her arms were round my waist. I pulled away and saw Harley's arm on my shoulder
Sophie: H why did you make me pull away?
Harley: look out your windscreen
I turned and saw every one of my friends sat in the window of the café with their jaws on the floor.
Sophie: Oh fuck. Shan I am so sorry.
Shannon: Why you sorry? It's as much my fault as it is yours.
Sophie: wait H did they see you two as well.
Harley: yep
Cherry: we have all been caught.
We all got out the car and I intertwined my hand with Shan's and Harley did the same with Cherry. If we were caught we weren't gonna hide it anymore. Sat there at breakfast everyone still sat there gobsmacked at the fact they had just witnessed me and Shannon as well as Harley and Cherry making out in my car.
The breakfast went really fast as I spent most of it kissing Shan to my friends disgust. We were acting really lovey like we had been together for months and not just kind of friends kind of more but nothing was official yet. We kept seeing people looking at us through the front window of the café but everything was fine until half the rugby team she played for walked in. Shannon suddenly acted very different and I knew why. They all thought she was straight and she wasn't read for them to know she was kind of with a girl.
Sophie: Hey Shan, do you wanna get out of here I can take you home or back to my place for a bit?
Shannon: no, I'm ok at the moment but if they come over do you mind if...
Sophie: Shan it's ok stop acting like you are the only girl in the world that makes my world spin.
Shannon: hey I'm sorry but they're homophobic.
Sophie: Don't worry I understand how this feels remember. I don't want you to rush into anything with me. You know that ont you. If we are moving to fast please tell me.
As I said this I felt Shannon put her hand on my thigh.
Shannon: we aren't moving to fast.
I just smirked as I rubbed my hand up and down her thigh. She smiled back at me and just as I would have leaned in her rugby mates came over.
Hannah (rugby team mate): Hey Shan, I didn't know you and Sophie were such good friends. I might have guessed you were just using her for homework but so hanging out with them now.
Shannon: they are alright and you know that Hannah, remember you and Sophie were good mates what happened.
Sophie: I turned out gay.
Hannah: Sophie you know that wasn't it don't you it was that our class schedules became very different and we didn't do the same clubs and stuff. We drifted apart.
Sophie: Ok then. I believe you.
Hannah: Shannon you coming? We can take you out to a real party.
Shannon: Nah. I'm ok with these guys you go and sleep with a stranger.
Hannah: ok see you at practise tomorrow.
Alexis (rugby team member): Hey Shan, you coming out after rugby tomorrow?
Shannon: Don't know see how I feel, I had a long night partying last night and I will probably not sleep tonight either cause well you know.
At this point she turned to me and the people sat at the table and saw all our jaws had dropped. The rugby players all huffed and walked off. Shannon then turned and before anyone could speak she explained what had just happened.
Shannon: if I had told them what really happened last night both Sophie and I would be blacked out on the floor and I don't want to see her hurt so I lied alright guys.
I just sat there with the biggest grin across my face knowing that this girl just lied to people she called her friends to protect me. All my friends suddenly got interested on what happened the night before.
Sophie: guys nothing happened you'd have heard us if it had.
Steph: oh god guys don't be discussing but we did hear noises coming from your room Soph.
Aimee: Yeah I was in the room across from you guys and heard banging and then a lot of laughing.
Sophie: Babe can I tell them why I was laughing.
Shannon: Fine but only because your too cute to say no to.
Leah: Uh stop being cute and tell the story.
Sophie: right so Harley came to see me last night and caught me and Shan making out on the bed and we had a conversation about her and us and her love life. Then H left the room and I closed the door.when I turne around Shan was there. We started to make out again and I picked her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist and I threw her onto the bed. She landed like a turtle, flat on her back and couldn't get back up so I couldn't help but laugh at the image of a girl in a bra and boxers flayling her arms around on a bed.
Shannon went bright red. We all talked for a little longer and then decided to leave the café as it was almost 2 in the afternoon and we were all tired. I drove Harley and Cherry home then parked in a car park.
Sophie: Shannon will you go out on a date with me?
Shannon: Yes I thought you would never ask.
We both smiled at each other and kissed.
Sophie: Hey. Do you wanna come back to my place?
Shannon: Yeah sure.
And with that I drove away from the car park and back to my home where I knew my mother would be waiting. I decided to text her before we got home.
Sophie: Hey mum. Sorry I didn't text you till know. You know how me and the girls are, we stayed up way too late amd couldn't get up. We just went out for some food and I am just coming home know. Oh yeah ad Shan is coming over. Love you xxxx
Mum: ok good to know you are alive and not hung-over from last night as you were actually able to text me this afternoon. See you in a bit. Love you xxxx
When I drove up the drive way I saw only 1 car meaning someone was out but it could have been mum, dad or my "Brother" Mark. We took Mark in when he was 17 as he was a comi chef for my dad and had no where to stay so we now get along like brother and sister. The only thing is he lives in Singapore so he only comes home for as few weeks a year. I open the front door and only when I was stood outside my room I noticed I had been holding onto Shannon's hand the whole time and mark was watching us move through the house.
Sophie: hey shan make your self slightly moe comfortable as I go and talk to Mark.
Shannon: cool see you in a minute.
I smiled and she went into my room.
Sophie: so what do you want?
Mark: Just how long you and miss hook up have known each other this time?
Sophie: This isn't just some random hook up this time. I really like Shannon ok. Don't screw this up for me Mark.
Mark: ok on one condition.
Sophie: what?
Mark: me and the family meet her formally before I go back to Singapore.
Sophie: I will ask he but can we at least make it official before I bring her home to the overprotective parents and Mark.
Mark: Fine but if it does become official I at least have to meet her.
Sophie: ok.
And with that he left and I went into my room to see Shannon lying on my bed half asleep watching Shadow hunters on my Netflix account. I lay down next to her and felt her fall asleep as the show went further on and suddenly I felt myself drifting off to sleep as well.
