Bahubali POV
Kattapa seems to struggles to get up by taking support of the pillar nearby. Bhalal dev watches him getting up.
BhalalDev looks at Kattapa with narrow eyes and says,"Your loyalty never fails to surprise me Kattapa! I know how much you hate me, but still, you chose my life over yours. How Kattapa? How do you it?"
What did he mean by that ? Bahubali asked his son .
Mahendra replied "I don't know. I think the movie will explain it , if its what i think it is ."
Kattapa remained silent.
Bhalal further continues,"Ask me for anything. Ill fulfill your desire. Anything."
Every one looks to the screen to know his wish
Kattapa falls to his knees and joins his hands together and says,"You know i have only one wish for years. Its been 25 years, Devasena is being punished. She's been locked in that cage for too long my lord. Please free her, that's my only wish you can fulfill my lord."
Hearing this bahubali feels like killing someone . but controls his emotions to console devasena jr .
BhalalDev smirks and extends his hand towards one of his men, who hands a sword to him. Bhalal then asks Kattapa to take the sword,"Take this and free Devasena forever."
Kattapa stepped back out of shock. Bhalal further continued,"Death is the best way to attain freedom, isn't it Kattapa? No huh? SO LET HER SUFFER! NOT ONLY FOR TWENTY FIVE YEARS BUT TILL HER LAST BREATHE."
Bhalal dev leaves the place angrily
Hearing the words that were coming out of bhallas mouth left everyone angry.
Scene change
Palace courtyard
Bhalal Dev walks towards the open place infront of the huge palace. There was a small cage built where Devasena was imprisoned for years.
Bhalal's son runs towards the cage with a steel rod and starts poking Devasena who was sleeping inside the cage. He pokes her and calls," Oh old women, wake up. Wake up you ugly old women! The King is here to see you"
Seeing the light of their nation suffering like this was a slap in the face of devasenas family
Devasena weakly opens her eyes and weakly tries to stand up. She was wearing a torn, really old saree which was very muddy and dirty. Her face and hair were muddy and dirty too. It looked like she haven't bathe since years. Her hands and legs were chained to the cage. She walks out of the cage weakly, looking down.
Bahubali and his son was suppressing their rage for the sake of devasena .
Bhalal dev walks towards her and says,"Years back, you chose HIM over me! And here i am, standing in front of you, King of Mahishmati! Mahishmati has forgotten him Devasena. The people here have forgotten him. No one even talks about him, his name is long gone in the history. This chains tied in your hands, do they ever call out his name? Hahahaha....
These word proved to have broken the proverbial camels back. This made mahendra lose his cool. Suddenly jumping from his seat shaking in rage he bowed to his parents and sivagami and walked swiftly out of the throne room.
When avanthika tried to follow him devasena stopped her and went after mahemdra .
The only sounds that could be heard by the people inside the throne room were angry roars and crashing sound . to see what the sound was people began to follow them .
The scene they came upon was mahendra breaking rocks larger than a man with his bare hands all the while devasena tried to calm him . at last with barely suppressed rage and greif he turned towards his mother and told her. "
from this moment onwards I'll never allow even a single tear to appear in your eyes. I'll never be able to bring back my father . but I won't allow even a small hair from yourself to be harmed by my uncle or anyone else.
Mother let of be known that I'll protect your past self from coming to any harm. If bhallaldeva tries to harm you I'll crush him like a twig, I'll tear him apart and will wash your feet with his blood. I'm swearing this on my fathers grave. I'll fulfil his promise to always protect your pride.
What the mother and son didn't know was they were being watched by the whole court. Bahubali and devasena in pride....without allowing mahendra and devasena to see that they were eavesdropped the people from the past went back to the throne room.
After some time they came back and the movie resumed.
Bhallaldeva continues:
"There are only two people in this world who calls his name, You....and me. We also have the same desire, to see him again. You want to see him again before your death and i want to see him again so that i could kill him, again, with my own bare hands.....but you know, our desires can never be fulfilled", Bhalal Dev walks out of the place.
By the way she was acting everyone from the past though her to be mad .
Devasena did not say a word. She started walking forward slowly. She picked up every little dry sticks she found from the ground. And then she walked towards a huge pit besides the cage and throws it there.
The pit was already filled with so many wooden sticks. She seems tp be doing this since years .
It was dark, and Devasena was still picking up sticks around the cage. Kattapa comes towards her and says,"On your consent, can i please break these chains and free you?"
Devasena keeps quiet.
"For how long are you going suffer here? Please let me help you. The night watchmen are not around here. They'll be here soon" kattappa continues talking.
Devasena still picking up sticks says in a low voice,"I am waiting for my son. He will come to save me"
Kattappa asked agitated "How can a dead son come to save his mother?"
"My son is alive. He will come"
"Your son is dead long ago. And what are you doing with the sticks. Leave it" saying that Kattapa throws the sticks she collected to the ground
Devasena becomes furious. She angrily lifts her head to face Kattapa. Her eyes were red. Kattapa steps back looking at her.
To the people she looked like a vengeful goddess .
Devasena angrily says,"Me picking up these sticks is stupidity for you? Im setting up a funeral. A funeral for the so called King BhalalDev! I am waiting for my son to rescue me and kill BhalalDev so that i could burn down his body... right here",she says pointing to the huge pit.
She continues,"His screams will bring peace to this kingdom and my soul! Do you understand that now Kattapa? My son will come for me."
This shakes everyone to the core . to bring the curse of a woman is equal to total annihilation.
