"Us din manik ko sirf uski star hi nahi hume humari angel bhi mili thi" nandini heard two very familiar voices. She turned around to confirm if whatever she was thinking was right just to get happily surprised.
"Happy birthday princess!" the two of them wished, engulfing nandini in a bone crushing hug who was shedding happy tears.
Nandini: noni aunty....uncle
She whispered still stunned.
Abhi: Aunty uncle I missed you both so much
Abhimanyu who was silent till now spoke taking Nyonika and Raj in a hug which they responded equally.
Manik: um...if you guys remember, you have a son too but ab beti mil gayi toh bete ko kyu yaad karenge?
Manik whined like a small baby getting all dramatic making the others laugh.
Nyonika: aww mera baccha....I missed you so much baby
She said hugging him.
Manik: I missed you too mom
He replied wrapping his arm around her waist.
Raj: Oye dramaqueen kitna natak karega tu. Everyone knows you are jealous kyuki humne pehle princess ko hug kiya
He teased manik who got more annoyed.
Manik: dad!
Raj: dad ke bacche pehle gale toh lag
Manik smiled at his dad and immediately hugged him leaving the rest to admire their cute bond.
Cabir: so yeh tera surprise tha manik?
Manik: yup
He nodded.
Cabir: uncle aunty acha hua aap aa gaye ab space me hume koi toh chahiye na to support us
Alia: like really Cabir? Tum toh aise keh rahe ho jaise space has torchured us in Aunty's absence
Mukti: rehne de alia. Iss joker ko kuch bhi bolna bekar hai
Dhruv: vaise uncle aunty you made your entry on a perfect day....nandini's birthday
Nyonika: thanks dhruv but this wasn't our plan
Abhi: not our plan matlab?
Raj: matlab yeh ki Abhi beta yeh sab kuch manik ne kiya hai. You know he literally forced us to complete all our work soon so they we are able to make it up today and that too since a month
Nyonika: exactly! Itna toh usne kabhi apne khud ke birthday ke liye bhi nahi kiya
All this while manik stood there palming his face, embarrassed because he had did not want nandini and the others to know about all this but his parents spoiled it.
Ab mom dad ko kaun samjhaye!?
Manik: uh dad!
Raj: ha?
Manik: how was your conference? You got the deal?
Raj: ofcourse. Is that even a question? There is no one in this world who can defeat the malhotras
He said proudly while nyonika rolled her eyes at his statement.
Nandini: acha uncle...noni aunty...yeh hai mere friends. That's navya, my soul sister(pointing towards navya) then that's aryaman aka arya, he's like a brother to me (pointing towards aryaman) and that guy over there is maddy, my university best friend
She concluded. Nyonika and Raj smiled at them and they returned the favor.
Nandini: ab sabse important baat! meri gift?
Nandini suddenly asked in her baby voice.
Nyonika: are ha voh toh bhul hi gaye...(handing her a box) here you go
Nandini*enthusiastically*: yay Thankyouuu!!
Nyonika*giggles*: your welcome princess
Raj: acha bacho now we need to leave
Abhi: leave? Itni jaldi?
Manik: yes dad aap just abhi toh aaye hai and you want to leave now itself?
Raj: sorry beta but we have this really important video conference which we postponed a that we could fly down to India but bow we really need to do it. Just one last time
Manik*half heartedly* : fine but mom you are staying right?
Nyonika: no manik actually even I need to attend the conference so....
Manik*sadly*: ok fine I understand. You guys continue
Abhi: manik upset kyu ho raha hai? They did not say ki voh log aaj hi London ja rahe hai...voh log sirf ghar ja rahe hai that's it
Mukti: ha aur manik jisko sad hona chahiye voh toh kuch bol hi nahi rahi
Nyonika: princess we are sorry
Nandini: no Aunty really..I understand
She smiled.
Raj: pakka na princess? Tu apne favourite uncle se naraaz toh nahi hai na?
Nandini: no uncle aap toh mere favourite ho na toh main apse naraaz kaise ho sakti hu
Raj: that's like my princess
He said patting her head gently.
The rest were adoring their cute bond with awe.
Manik: ha ha ab toh apko sirf apni princess hi dikhegi na
Abhi: exactly! Aap hume humesha bhul jate ho
He pouted.
Nandini*smirking*: noni aunty isn't something burning?
She teased.
Manik: acha bachu burning haan?
Abhi: badi hasi aa rahi hai baby doll?
Nandini*feigning innocence*: nahi toh where am I laughing? I am not laughing
She pressed her lips to control her giggles.
Abhi: acha?
She nodded.
Manik: okay then
He shrugged making nandini confused because this wasn't the reaction she was expecting.
Both manik and looked at each other with mischievous smiles and soon after they attacked nandini, tickling her to death.
Nandini* struggling below them*: Bhai manik stop....hahaha....st....stop!!!
Manik: not so easy
Abhi: pehle sorry bol
Nandini: hahaha....Bhai manik please...chodo na...aaa
Manik: sorry bolo
Nandini: acha ok I am sorry
She finally accepted her defeat. The younger clan were gaping at them with amazement whereas the two senior malhotras shook their heads in disbelief.
Manik and Abhi freed her and then the three stood up, panting for air.
Raj: nyo unka message aaya tha abhi. We need to leave
He said looking at his phone. Nyonika nodded.
Raj/nyonika: bye baccho!
"Bye!!" all replied in unison.
Now only the younger clan was left.
Aryaman: so guys whats the plan?
Dhruv: don't know. Buddy tune kuch socha hai? Any plans?
Manik: um the plan is ki....there is no plan actually as of now but we can always think odmf something
He suggested sheepishly.
Nandini* excitedly*: I know what to do
Maddy: munchkin ab tumhare iss chotu se dangerous dimaag me kya chal raha hai?
He asked narrowing his eyes at her.
Nandini: I guess you know it already
Maddy*confused*: I know?
Hecstaeted thinking on her words and realization dawned upon him.
Maddy: wait kahi tum voh toh karne ka nahi soch rahi?
Nandini smiles notoriously nodding her head to which Maddy freaked out.
Maddy: no no no way in hell am I letting you do that munchkin. Vo newyork tha and this is freaking Mumbai for crying out loud. You cannot take such risks
He stated sternly.
Nandini: Maddy please
She pleaded making her best puppy face but he remained stubborn on his point.
Maddy: these cute faces won't work this time sweetheart
Nandini pouted angrily.
This half conversation of their was beyond the other's understanding. They were staring at the two, confused. Manik could no longer take it any more, his annoyance took over..
Manik: nandini care telling us what exactly you guys are taking about? Cuz we all here do jot understand even a word
Maddy: main batata hu. Actually the thing is ki this madam right here had two special wishes which she always wanted to do on her birthday and as today she has the chance so she doesn't want to miss it
Said Maddy. This got manik all ears.
Abhi: aisi kya wishes hai teri baby doll ki Maddy tumhe na bol raha hai?
Abhi inquired curiously.
Maddy: main batata hu na. So as you know she has this fetish for certain bikes right so she wants to do a freaking bike race with her best friend that is with manik
All in unison(except nandini and Maddy): whaaat!?!?
Manik gave out the loudest reaction after listening to her first wish.
Manik: nandini you don't even know how to ride a bike aur tumhe race karni hai!? Are you out of your damn mind!?
He yelled with concern lacing his voice.
Nandini: manik please na....please!
Manik*calming down a bit*: agar main maan bhi jaaun toh how will you ride kyuki you toh wanna race against me na toh I can't help you
Nandini: are chill Maddy hai na. He is really good at riding bikes so voh meri help kar dega
Maddy: what!? No munchkin main yeh nahi karnewala and I am toh not even agreeing to this wish of yours
He denied sternly.
Nandini: are but you will be there with me na pleaseee Maddy pleaseee
She said making a cute face.
Maddy: you always have your own ways na?
He smiled. Nandini shrugged.
Nandini: any doubts you have?
Maddy: not at all madam
Nandini: good
And the next moment they burst out laughing along with others.
All this while manik stood there clenching and unclenching his fist seeing Maddy and nandini's bond.
Manik*to himself*: manik this time you need to win this race any how and show madhyam singhania what actually manik malhotra is
The screen divided into two parts- one in which Maddy and nandini were laughing together and the other with manik having a determined look on his face.
I know the chapter isn't that interesting but that was needed. And yes...readers last time I forgot to mention but with the update we completed 100 chapters and its all because of you guys so thanks a lot for all your love and support and silent readers a small request from my side....please just don't leave the story after reading and spare atleast some seconds to vote or comment.
