Manik and nandini stood there hugging each other, seeking warmth from each other's embrace, trying to find their lost peace and sanity. After a while manik broke the hug as his phone buzzed with a message and instantly they felt cold, being deprived of the much needed warmth. Manik fished his phone out of his pocket to have a look at the message when even nandini's phone pinged. Both shared a look abd then read the message.
Manik: Cabir ka message hai
Nandini: ha mujhe bhi mila
Manik: mukti alia ko uske ghar le gayi hai
Nandini: aur Cabir ne hume jam room me bulaya hai
Manik: so lets leave?
Nandini: ya
Soon they reached the jam room to find dhruv busy on his phone, probably trying to know about alia's state, abhimabyu talking on the phone with mukti, Cabir pacing to and fro with navya trying to calm him and aryaman seated on the chair looking at all of them with amusement with maddy who sat next to him tuning his guitar.
Manik: guys
Manik called out and all looked up. As soon as Cabir saw manik, he dragged him inside asking nandini to come in too and slammed the door close.
Manik: Cabir kya hua hai?
Cabir: Kya hua hai! Seriously manik yeh tu puch raha hai?
Manik stared at him blankly. Cabir sighed and said-
Cabir: manik alia yaar....she is being so difficult
He said pulling out his hair in frustration.
Nandini: Cabir she is just messed right now...give her some time, I am sure she will understand
Cabir: no behena that can't happen
Nandini*confused*: why?
Aryaman: kyuki our very dear soha khurana came here just some time ago to tell us that fab 5 has a photo shoot tomorrow
Manik: photoshoot? Tomorrow?
Everyone except nandini nodded.
Maddy: dude she is so creepy and weird. I don't get good vibes from her
He said making a disgusted face.
Abhi: none of us get good vibes from her maddy. She is pshycotic
All this while dhruv was sitting silently, lost somewhere. He wasn't even attentive while the others were talking and this was noticed by manik.
Manik: buddy where are you lost?
He said keeping a hand on his shoulder.
Dhruv: manik main alia se baat karu? I think she will open up with me because I know her ki voh mukti ko kuch bhi nahi bataegi. She went stress her toh shall I?
He asked skeptically.
Manik: sure buddy go ahead. Tujhe mujhse permission lene ki zaroorat nahi hai
Navya: par dhruv are you sure? I mean agar baatein aur ulajh gayi toh?
Dhruv: navya don't worry....I will manage her
He assured and navya nodded.
Abhi: dhruv tu abhi ja raha hai na?
Dhruv: ha
Abhi: ha ok I will inform mukti. Tu bas mukti ke ghar pohochte hi use message kar dena and aage ka voh sambhal legi
Dhruv nodded and moved out taking his phone and bike keys.
Mukti's place
Dhruv parked his bike outside mukti's house and messaged mukti about his arrival.
Mukti and alia were having their girls time applying, nail paints and watching movies when mukti's phone pinged with a message. Alia was engrossed in the movie so she did not have any knowledge about it. Mukti on the other hand read dhruv's message and secretly peeked out of the window to see dhruv waiting down anxiously, tapping his foot, again and again looking towards her window. Dhruv so mukti standing near her window and entered inside after getting her confirmation.
Mukti: uh alia?
Alia*engrossed in watching the movie*: main abhi aayi ok. Am very hungry so kitchen se khana lekar aati hu
Alia nodded distractedly and mukti left. She reached out of her room to find dhruv already standing there.
Mukti: are you sure you want to talk to her? Use iss bare me zara bhi baat nahi karni hai dhruv
Dhruv: mukti I will manage
He blinked his eyes and mukti nodded her head with a smile.
Mukti: I trust you completely in her case
Dhruv smiled at her and entered inside mukti's room. He closed the door slowly, making sure that alia doesn't catch him and stealthily approached her. Sensing someone's presence behind her, alia turned to find dhruv there who was staring intensely at her. Their eyes were locked for a moment but alia broke the contact, not able to meet his gaze.
Dhruv: alia we need to talk
Alia: I know
She replied, playing with her fingers nervously.
Dhruv settled down beside her, taking her in a side hug and began talking as alia snuggled more into him.
Dhruv: alia I know ki you have realised ki aaj jo bhi tumne manik se kaha voh galat tha
Alia: I know dhruv but us waqt there were so many things going on in my head and jab manik ne voh sab kaha toh I vented all my anger on him but...but trust me dhruv I had no intention to hurt him and say all those things but I could not just hold myself. I am sorry
Dhruv*caressing her hair*: main janta hu alia and I am not here to talk to you about what happened in the jam room, I am here to ask you about what is bothering you so much
He asked her calmly.
Alia*sighs*: its Bhai again dhruv
Dhruv: harshad? Ab usne kya kiya?
Alia: yesterday morning I heard Bhai talking on the phone. He was mentioning about mukti and fab 5 which angered me so I stormed in his room and yelled at him asking him to...to stay away from fab 5 and just go away somewhere. I was really angry dhruv but then i thought about it the entire day and finally decided to talk to Bhai but when I reached home at night....
By now alia was sobbing while dhruv kept stroking her hair.
Alia: when I reached home last night Bhai...he wasn't there. I searches for him everywhere but he was nowhere. I even trued calling his friends but I was just making a fool out of myself. His friends mocked me dhruv, saying that I was a horrible sister for not knowing her brother's whereabouts
Alia had become a crying mess. Dhruv kept stroking her hair to soothe her but even he felt agitated towards harshad but somehow he knew he had to be calm for alia.
Dhruv: alia sshhh....he doesn't deserve your tears alia. Sab theek ho jaega....just give it sometime
He cooed. Alia nodded locked in his arms as dhruv kept stroking her hair.
Alia: Isliye aaj subeh I was a little disturbed and jab aaj manik confessed about hiding that soha thing from us I....I could not hold myself back and removed all my frustration on him. Pata nahi voh mere baare me kya kya soch raha hoga
She sniffed.
Dhruv: alia he is your friend aur voh tumhe ache se janta hai so relax, he will understand
Alia nodded still sniffing. Dhruv could no longer see his love crying so he decided to lighten the atmosphere and distract her mind.
Dhruv*breaking the hug*: vaise alia don't you think ki you should stop crying. I mean look at your face, all your make up has come off and you look kinda scary
He said with a straight face. Alia glared at him in return, the tip of her nose turning red from all the crying. Seeing her dhruv chuckled and pinched her cheeks lightly.
Dhruv: aww my baby you look so cute but these tears don't suit you so now be a good girl and wipe them off cuz we need to hurry now
Alia*confused*: why? Where do we have to go?
Dhruv: are tum bhul gayi! nandu ka birthday hai aaj and the celebration is still left
He said in a matter-of-fact tone and alia's eyes widened in realization.
Alia*slapping her forehead*: oh sh!t how could I forget this!? I upset her so much that too on her special day. Oh my god! Now what are you waiting for? Lets leave. Hume nandu ka birthday celebrate karna hai
She said wiping her tears and dhruv stared at her in amazement and later shook his head in disbelief.
Dhruv: Tum aise chalogi?
He asked eying her pajamas and her tear strained face. Alia bit her lip embarrassed.
Alia: just gimme some time, I'll uh just change
She excused herself and dhruv chuckled softly at her behaviour.
Dhruv: pagal ladki
He muttered to himself smiling all the while.
After some time alia stepped out, dressed up properly.
Alia: so what do you think?
Alia asked dhruv, twirling around and showing off her dress.
Dhruv: beautiful
He complimented with a smile and alia blushed. Now they were good to go. They moved out of mukti's room hand in hand and were about to step out of her house when alia remembered something and stopped in her tracks.
Alia: dhruv mukti?
Dhruv: she already left with Abhi
Alia: ok
They started their journey to college in alia's car with a smile on their faces and a bit of nervousness and tension on alia's face thinking about how to apologise everyone for her uncalled outburst.
