64) Superman
I got out of the car, Nathan took my hand, locking the car, before running over to the front of the store.
He got a shopping cart, or trolley, and bit his lower lip, watching me.
"What's in your head, Sykes?" I asked, in a bit of a knowing voice.
He jumped into the basket like a little boy.
"Remember when we were little and went shopping we would sit together in this and play with our toys?" He questioned.
"And sometimes we would be in opposite baskets and have a race with Mum and Dad." I laughed.
He nodded with a big smile. I remember those memories vividly. Sometimes when I would go to the store with Dad, Nathan, and his Mum, we would have little races. It was fun.
"So I am guessing you want me to push you?" I asked, a bit of humor in my voice.
"Yes, please!" He smiled and nodded.
I sighed through a smile as I pushed him into the store.
"Where to first?" Nathan questioned.
"Avatar said he wanted vegetables." I stated in more of a question form.
"Let's go" Nathan smiled as I ran over to the fruit and vegetable area.
The rest of the time, I was running around the store, pushing Nathan as laughter filled the atmosphere around us.
We didn't care about the weird looks people were giving us. We were happy.
By the time we finished, I was all tired out.
We went over to the cashier as Nathan put out all the food that surrounded him onto the table for the cashier.
I took out my wallet, but Nathan beat me to it as he took out his card.
"Allow me to pay, love." He winked from in the basket.
I laughed and nodded, "Sure. Thank you."
He nodded.
"Can you just please sign?" The cashier asked, gesturing a small screen.
Nathan nodded as he looked at the screen which was a few feet away from him, but still out of reach.
"Can you please push me towards the screen, love?" Nathan asked.
I let out a small laugh before pushing Nathan so he could sign. After he did, Nathan took his card back as we took the two bags of groceries and headed into the car.
Nathan put them in the back before meeting me inside.
"Have fun?' He question, putting his mouth back into its ring.
I smiled widely and nodded, "Lots of fun."
"Good. I love that smile of yours." He kissed my head before driving out.
"So." I cleared my throat. "I have a question for you."
"What is that?" He asked, looking at me with a smile.
"Do you still have to fake date Ariana?"
"Erm. Yes."
"Oh." I slumped in my seat a bit.
"But the lads and Ariana are talking to Scooter about it."
"Okay." I nodded.
Nathan took my hand. "We'll get this all settled out. I promise." He entwined his pinkie with mine.
I smiled before letting go and entwining our hands.
"Music?" I questioned.
"Of course." He stuck his tongue out slightly.
I pressed the on button as Waiting For Superman came on.
I looked to Nathan as he looked back at me.
Nathan sang along as I joined in during the chorus..

Nathan smiled at me gripping my hand tighter.
"I'm Superman?" He questioned.
"You're Superman." I nodded with a little laughter.
He squeezed my hand tighter before pulling up at the driveway.
"I think Kelsey and Tom are already here." I laughed, getting out of the car, taking the groceries along with me.
"Allow me, my beautiful." He took the bags from me, slipping them from my hands as he walked into the house.
"Thank you, Sykes." I followed in after him, locking the door behind me.
"Yes! Food's here!" I heard Max call as he ran up to us.
"Thanks guys. We're starving." He laughed as he took the bags from Nathan.
"Thanks baby." Max winked at Nathan before heading into the kitchen with Jay and Ava to begin preparing the food.
We passed by the window to see the girls chilling by the pool in their suits.
"Come on. Let's change." Nathan patted my back as he grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs.
I changed into a light blue suit. Nothing really weird about this suit. It was just normal.
I put on my swim cream and I kept on my clothes over my suit as I brought out black Ray bands with me.
I knocked on Nathan's side of the door through the bathroom. After one knock, he opened it, revealing him in his shorts.
"Ready?" I asked, trying not to look down at him.
"Yeah. Hold up." He quickly pulled on a white t-shirt.
I bit my lower lip as Nathan gripped my hand and we headed down stairs.
The smell of burgers filled the air.
Max was probably grilling.
"Salad?" Jay asked, coming up to us with two plates.
"Thank you, baby." Nathan winked at him as he handed me a plate.
Jay gave a proud nod before heading over to Ava.
"Shall we?" Nathan asked, slipping his hand into mine again.
I nodded as we headed outside. We took a seat next to the unlit fireplace.
"I like your glasses." He smiled, taking them from my face and putting them on his.
"You want them?" I asked.
"Nah, but I'll be borrowing them once in a while." He gave a cool nod.
I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Are you in the mood for swimming?" He questioned.
"I don't know. Do you want to?"
He cleared his throat as he stretched a bit, "I think maybe we can chill. But not now. I like it now." He put down his paper plate as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I like it too." I looked at him, kissing his cheek.
He smiled it down at me, giving me a kiss on the head.
"Yo love birds! Burgers are ready!" Ariana called, giving me a grin.
I gave a small laugh as Nathan got up, taking his plate and mine.
We made our way over to the grill where Tom and Kelsey were putting together the mini sliders.
"How many?" Tom asked.
Nathan looked to me and smiled before turning to Tom, widening his grin.
"Two for the beauty. Three for me." He said pretty proud of himself.
"Coming up." He nodded as he put the two burgers on my plate and three on Nathan's.
"Thanks Tom." I smiled before turning around with Nathan.
"Want to sit at the pool?" He questioned.
I nodded. Nathan took off his white t-shirt as I took off my shorts, leaving on my bottom and my shirt.
We took our sweat as we ate.
Jay, Ava, Ariana, and TJ were swimming around the pool having fun. Max and Nina were playing football on the field. Siva and Nareesha were chilling in the shade. And Tom and Kelsey were having an eating competition.
"Who do you think will win, babe?" Nathan asked me pointing at Tom and Kelsey who were chowing down.
"I think Kelsey."
"I got you, girl!" Kelsey yelled at me, pointing at me at the same time as she gave me a wink before continuing with her next bite.
"Well, I think Tom will win." Nathan stated.
"Are you making a bet, Sykes?"
"Maybe I am." He winked.
"So what?" I asked
"Loser has to allow the other to pick their clothes for the next three weeks." Nathan put his mouth into it's ring shape.
"I'll take that bet." I shook hands with him.
He laughed as he put his arm around me and we looked towards the water.
I put my finished plate off to the side as I enjoyed Nathan's company and the music blasted through the speakers.
The day went on as we all relaxed.
We all ended up sitting on the edge of the pool as the sun began to set.
I rested my head on Nathan's shoulder. Nathan bent down, thinking nothing of it, I followed along, keeping my head on his shoulder.
Splash..
Nathan splashed me. With an open smile, I kicked water at him as it splashed on him and Jay, who was sitting next to him.
"Hey!" Jay whined, splashing water at us, but hitting Tom and Kelsey.
Before we knew it, we were all in laughter as we had a water battle.
I held a water gun as I squirted Max, having him run after me.
He kept squirting my head, blocking my vision from time to time. Soon enough, I was at the pool, running around.
"Nathan!" Ariana yelled.
I heard Nathan cal my name, "Dani!!"
My feet neared the edge. Max splashed me, causing me to scrunch up my face, closing my eyes.
I felt strong arms wrap around me as I fell into the pool, that person following in with me.
I opened my eyes under water to see Nathan hugging me tight.
I smiled a bit as I kissed his nose under water.
He opened his eyes and smiled at me, bringing my face closer and kissing my head.
I heard splashes around us as I turned around to see everyone jumping in, on after the other.
Nathan brought me closer to him, my hands on his chest as he kissed me.
I pulled back as put my forehead on his. I felt him kick as we came up from the water, getting air.
I heard laughter come from him as he spun me around. Everybody was having fun around us, but I felt like it was just me and him.
"I saved your life." He said in a husky voice.
"By jumping in with me?" I questioned, a bit of humor in my voice.
He raised his shoulders. "Maybe." He put his mouth into that usual ring.
I laughed as I hugged him tighter, wrapping my legs around his waist.
"Want to do something fun?" He asked, raising an eye brow.
"What?"
"I can take you somewhere you've never been before." He whispered in my ear in that deep voice.
My mouth formed into an o as I pushed him off, playfully of course.
He laughed as he swam back to me, giving me a kiss.
"Come on. Let's dry off." He winked, taking my hand as we came out.
We headed over to the fireplace where there were towels that we brought out.
He tossed me one, as I caught it in my hands at the last second, having a bit of it hit my face.
"Oh my god, baby. I am so sorry." He quickly came to me, taking to towel from my face.
I looked up at him, his face filled with worry and sorrow.
"What for?" I asked.
"I-it reminded me of Courtney. You know how she tossed you an apple all the time, almost hitting your face. And when it did, you were bruised so badly." He put a hand on my lower back, bringing me closer to him.
I nodded as I went on my toes and kissed him.
"It's okay, Sykes. I love you." I kissed him again.
A smile formed on his lips throughout the kiss. When he pulled back, we dried off and took a seat on the field, watching the last bit of sun hide behind the hills and trees. Gladly, we had trees surrounding our backyard.
Soon enough, everyone joined us as the stars soon began to light up the night sky.
"Guys I lit up the fire so we won't get too cold over there." Siva advised.
"Thanks Seev. Now come sit with us." TJ called him over.
He nodded and joined us.
Nathan pulled me closer to him as I sat between his legs, his arms, wrapping securely around me.
The wind began to blow, and although I was fully dressed, I was getting cold.
Nathan rubbed my arms, "You cold, baby?" He questioned, his face so close to mine as it rested on my shoulder.
"I-I'm good." I smiled at him, kissing his ear.
He smiled and kissed my shoulder several times. "You're beautiful."
"No. But you're handsome." I smiled at him.
He chuckled and hugged me tighter.
"Guys look! A shooting star!" Ava said excitedly.
Nathan and I both looked up as Nath pointed it out to me.
"Make a wish, love." He whispered.
I wish this can never end...that you will always be mine.
"What was your wish?" He asked, kissing my neck ever so lightly.
"If I told you, it wouldn't come true." I said innocently.
He laughed, "I remember when you told me that when we were little."
I nodded and rested myself into his chest.
"What was your wish?" I asked, looking at him.
He looked down at me, studying me a bit.
"I didn't wish anything."
"Why didn't you, babe?" Jay asked.
"Hey. He's mine!" Tom yelled, pointing at himself.
"Meeeh." Jay stuck his tongue out at him.
Tom did the same actions to Jay.
Nathan snickered and shook his head.
"Anyways, I didn't wish anything because I have everything I need. My music, my best mates, which is you too TJ," Nathan winked at him as he snickered. "You girls, and my best friend."
"Awwww." Everyone said in unison before looking back up at the stars.
I pulled on Nathan's collar a bit, causing him to look down at me.
"You really mean that?" I questioned.
"I do." He leaned down and kissed me.
I smiled at him as I rested my neck and looked up at the stars.
"Guys I think we should head in. Bugs are starting to come out." Nina complained, scratching her arms.
"Yeah. Let's go." Max got up and hurried Nina inside. Aw, that was sweet.
Nathan and I got up along with everyone else as we headed in.
"Well guys, I think I should go." TJ yawned, stretching.
"You leaving already, bro?" I questioned.
He laughed and pulled me into a hug.
"I'll be back. Trust me. Be a good girl. Love you, Sis." He kissed the top of my head.
"I will. See you soon, Tj."
"See you soon, baby!" Jay called at him.
TJ gave Jay a wink and a wave before heading out.
"Did you just call him baby?" Nathan asked, turning around a bit hurt.
"Yeah, I heard that to!" Siva said shocked.
"U-Um. I-I." Jay stuttered.
Nathan and Siva looked to each other and a mischievous smile formed on their faces. They turned back to Jay and ran up to him, jumping on him and tickling him.
Jay turned bright red as he laughed from the tickling.
"Us to!" Tom called happily as him and Max jumped in, tickling the Avatar.
Soon enough, they all got up as Jay was bright red.
I handed Jay a glass of water.
"Thanks, Dan." He smiled at me before drinking.
I nodded warmly as Nathan grabbed my hand and we headed upstairs.
It was only 8, but we both got ready for bed. I wore the usual shorts as I wore a grey shirt I cut and turned into a muscle tank. I messed up a bit and the sleeve holes were a bit too big. But it was very comfortable for dancing.
I brushed my teeth and did the normal routine before meeting Nathan who was waiting on the end of the bed.
"So I was wondering." Nathan started.
"What's up?" I asked, taking a seat, straddling him.
"What are we going to do with your room since you are always sleeping in mine?"
I shrugged. "Maybe just keep it the way we are doing now? I go there for m clothes and all, but I sleep here?" I questioned.
He nodded. "I guess we figured it out without even knowing." He smiled and kissed my nose.
Nathan got up, causing me to stand up in front of him.
His hands were firmly on my waist.
"What do you have in mind, Sykes?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I am just so glad to have you with me."
"You were so worth the wait." I laughed a bit.
"Maybe I should make it worth even more." He winked.
I laughed a bit as I looked into his big green eyes. They were just..perfect.
"Jump." He whispered.
Jump..okay.
I did as I was told as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
He turned me around, giving me a kiss before throwing me on bed.
He came closer as his hands met my sides, and that's when my torture began.
He began tickling me to the point I could barely breathe.
"Nathan!" I screamed for him to stop, but he just wouldn't quit it.
I tried hitting him, but nope.
His laughter was loud that i could hear it over my own. His laugh was like music. I just loved his laugh..
"I can't breathe!" I barely got my words out. He looked at me, as his eyes hinted worry.
He stopped immediately as he pushed me higher so I was rested on the pillow.
He sat me up before sitting behind me, rubbing my back as I caught my breath.
"Nathan. I'm fine. Honestly." I turned to him with a smile as I tried catching my breath.
"Bloody hell, you're all red, Dani." He told me.
I gave a small smile as i cupped his face with one hand and kissed him.
His hands landed on my waist as he held me tight.
I pulled back as he kissed the top of my head.
He began to get under the sheets as I did as well. He pulled me closer to him as we faced each other.
"Nathan?" My voice was soft.
"Hmm?" He hummed.
"Have you ever wondered what life would be like without me?"
He bit his lip as his grip on me tightened. "No. I never thought about it."
"What do you think it would be like? Would you have been popular at school? Would you be more famous?" I questioned.
He nodded no. "Without you, I would be even lonelier. I wouldn't have the courage to try out for The Wanted. I would have never met the lads. Because of you I am where I am now." He kissed my cheek.
I gave a small smile as I hid myself in his chest.
"So where would you be without me?" He questioned.
"Do you really need to ask that?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Sykes, I would be dead. I lived with Courtney and Adam." I look at him seriously.
He laughed and brought me closer. To the point there was no room between us.
"Well, I am so glad we met each other." He leaned in and kissed my nose.
"I'm glad too."
He laughed as I scooted my head onto his shoulder.
He took a piece of my hair, putting it behind my ear as he he played with it at the same time.
He slowly hummed as I fell asleep with the, Nathan Sykes..
I woke up to the beautiful sound of my boyfriend singing.
I opened my eyes to see him watching down at me, my head still on his shoulder as his arms wrapped around me.
"Good morning, baby." He smiled.
I smiled at him. "Good morning, sloth."
"So you ready for another reason?" He questioned.
I took a breath. "Sure. Go ahead." I smiled.
"I love how you have both this girly side, but you aren't afraid to hang with the guys." He grinned.
I laughed and punched his chest lightly.
He did the same to my shoulder before pulling me in and kissing me.
I pulled back and got up, quickly heading to the bathroom so I could shower.
As I stepped in, I heard him groan, "Why do you keep teasing me like that?"
I laughed, closing the door and allowing myself to have take the normal routine.
"I love you baby." I heard Nathan say as I brushed my teeth.
"I love you too." I called before spitting.
When I headed out, I dressed into blue jean shorts to my mid thigh that had folds on the bottom and a white muscle tee that said the boss on it.
I put on a black snapback that said Obey on it and put on some socks. Folding them as usual.
I headed downstairs to hear everything completely silent. I headed back to my room as I knocked on the bathroom door.
No response. I put my ear to the door to hear silence. No water was running or anything.
My heart began to beat faster.
I headed out of my room as I checked each of the bedrooms. Each one was empty.
I headed downstairs. Nobody, The fridge was open though..
I took a seat on the fridge and called everybody. Hopefully they'd pick up...
