I remember crying so hard that night, the pain and all he did was apologize saying that he wouldn't do it again. I ended the call and fell asleep crying. Since that night I would always cry just to fall asleep. My teammates always wonder why my eyes are swollen the next day, but I would always tell them that I'm homesick and every after training they would take me out because they can't stand the idea of me being sad. I'm very thankful for them.
The day after Kiefer confirmed it, I decided to end things between us. I don't trust him anymore and I'm in too much pain. He apologize and begged for me to stay, but I told him na it's already over. However, on the very same day my manager told me to not end things between Kiefer. Pareho lang daw masisira image namin, especially ngayon pa that we're both reaching our dreams of playing international. I should just put whatever I'm feeling aside cause it will pay off in the end. That I shouldn't let my friends know about the issue. I've never felt so much pain in my entire life.
Finally, I'm back in the Philippines. It was hard saying goodbye to my teammates back in Thailand. They are always there for me even though I'm still new to the team and they never made me feel that I don't belong. Although I wish could stay in Thailand a little longer because at least in Thailand I'm not being controlled by anyone. In Thailand I can be myself.
I thought being back in the Philippines meant that I can finally be with my family, but the first two days of being home I'm doing a photoshoot. I haven't had the chance to see my family.
It's the second day of the photoshoot, the team putting my make up on when I heard my manager greeted someone. I turned around and there he was. I knew in my mind that he would show up, I kind of expected it, pero sana di na lang siya dumating. I can feel my chest tightening just by seeing him.
"Kief, perfect timing. Prep up na, so we can start the shoot right away." Vania told Kiefer.
The shoot lasted for about an hour, it will be out in a few months. It was difficult for me being close with him. I felt disgusted that all I want to do right now is have a shower.
"They're still talking about it." Vania said to herself while shaking her head, "You know what, guys. I think it's better for the public to see you guys together para matapos na tong mga speculations."
"I'm meeting up with Lang today." I answered.
"That's perfect then! Kief, hatid mo na si Ly. Where are you guys meeting up anyway?"
"I don't know yet."
"Uhh... I'll drive you, Ly. Don't worry." Kiefer said.
"It's okay. Lang is picking me up."
"Hayaan mo ng hinatid ka ni Kiefer, Alyssa."
"Lang is on her way and malapit na siya."
"Well, then." Vania said, "Mag-set kayo ng date to go in public places."
I nodded and stand, "I'm going. Lang is already outside."
"See you soon, Ly." Vania said and I just gave her a smile.
I was already outside the building when I felt someone grabbed me. I turned around and it was him. I immediately shove his hand off.
"Ly, please. I'm sorry. I know you're mad. Di mo na ba ko mapapatawad? I won't do it again. I promise you that." Kiefer said.
I just looked at him not showing any emotions and left him.

As soon as Team Besh planned a sleep over I immediately agreed to it. It's been a long time since we had a sleepover. We already had a date set, but Vania called me telling me to go to Kiefer's practice.
"I can't." I answered.
"What? Alyssa this is an opportunity to show the public na di totoo yung issue. Para matapos na tong issue na to." She said on the phone.
"I can't. I have plans today." I answered, "Much more important plans."
"Just for an hour, Ly."
"I really can't. I have to go." I said and ended the call.
I spent the whole day with Team Besh at Bea Tan's condo and for the first time since I came back I can finally breathe.
It was always a good time being with them, feeling namin we're back in college. We talked about everything, but I know that they're being careful to not go into that topic.
"Come on, guys. Spill it out." I said.
"What?" Kiwi asked.
"Para naman di pa tayo magkakakilala." I said and chuckled, "I know you guys have been trying to avoid the topic, so sige na spill it out whatever you want to say."
"How can he do that to you?!" Bea Tan asked in rage, "He's a fucking jerk!"
"True. Oh my gosh, can't even man up to tell the truth." Kiwi said.
"Akala naman niya kalakihan yung ano niya. Eh mas malaki pa nga tong chicken drumstick sa ano niya." Ella added.
"Ella!" We said.
"What? Sabi mo spill it out diba?" Ella asked innocently as she bites on the pizza on her hand and the chicken drumstick on the other, "Lakas ng loob magpakita ng ano, wala naman itlog para aminin pagkakamali niya."
"And I can't believe your manager for telling you not to tell us!" Bea Tan added.
It is true na pinagbawalan ako, but I can't hide it to them. They're my best friends. They promised naman not to comment on the issue, but when my manager read Lang's tweets. She called me nonstop and I avoided all those calls saying that I was in practice and that I haven't talk to anyone at all. I know she didn't believe me that's why she's pushing me and Kiefer to be out in public.
"Den?" I called out. She's been quiet for some time now.
"What else do you want me to say?" She asked in a serious tone.
"Just... say something. I know you, besh." I said and looked at her.
"Fine." Dennise said and raised her eyebrow, "Ang stupid mo, Ly."
"Den!" They called out.
"I-it's okay." I said.
"Ang stupid mo because you're letting them control your life. You don't need them, Ly. You and I both know that."
"I know, Den. I know."
"But no matter how stupid you are. Always know that we got your back. All the time." Dennise said and gave me a little smile.
Kiwi stood up and opened her arms to give me a hug, then the rest of them stood up as well and hugged me. "Thank you, guys."

Later that night we decided to have a movie marathon. It was already 2am and we're only halfway of the third film, but everyone is already asleep. Except me and Dennise. I smiled to myself. Of course Dennise wouldn't go to sleep, we're watching a horror movie. She always claim that she likes horror movie, but she can't sleep at night.
I guess I must have been looking at her for too long that when I got back to my senses she's also looking at me, eyebrow raised.
"I spaced out." I said and looked away.
"I'm sorry, Ly." Dennise said.
"What?" I asked and she paused the movie.
"For what I said earlier. I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."
"You're right naman eh. I'm stupid. I shouldn't let them dictate me." I answered.
She stood up and pulled me at the balcony.
"Are you guys still together?" She asked.
"No, pero di nila alam yun. It was an agreement between the both of us."
"How long 'til you let the public know?"
"When the issue died down. Yung hindi na ganun ka-fresh."
"But that would take months or even a year, Ly."
"I know." I said and sighed. "I should have listen to you even before I committed to this relationship."
Dennise wasn't a fan of Kiefer ever since Kiefer and I met, she can already feel that he has a motive on me. She tried to be casual about him which she's good at, but I know deep down she hated every little time or interaction she had with him.
"Why not just do it sooner?"
"Because I don't want to disappoint them." I answered, "I don't want the fans to be disappointed with him. They love and protect us kahit na we didn't ask to. This is the only way I can think to pay them back for everything that they have done for me."
"Pero paano ka, Ly? Mahalaga ka rin naman eh. You don't deserve to be cheated and lied to."
"I know.... I just want to be free from all this mess, you know? All I wanted was a simple life. Not this."
"You really love him, don't you?"
"I-I don't know. I think... I think I felt at some point that I love him, pero at the same time I also think that it was platonic." I answered and it was silent after that.
"If only I was brave enough for the both of us noon, edi sana walang ganito na nangyari." I said, breaking the silence.
"Ly..." Dennise said and put her hand on top of mine.
"Totoo naman eh. We could have been Ara and Bang, you know? Not caring about what others think as long as we're happy."
"You are brave, Ly. Ever since. I was the one who's scared. Afraid of what others will think about us." Dennise said, "And really, Ly? Bang and Ara?"
I chuckled, "Don't tell me pinagseselosan mo pa rin si Bang?"
"Of course not." She answered and pouted.
"Sure, Den. Sure." I smirked.
"If we're still together we will be the power couple. Not you and that asshole." Dennise said, "The Phenom and The Iron Eagle."
I smiled sadly at that thought. I know it's too late for us. She's happy with LA.
"You will always have a special place in my heart you know that, right?" Dennise said and looked at me.
"Of course and so are you, Den. You will always have a special space in my heart."
"I love you, Ly." Dennise said, "I will always love you."
"I love you too, Den." I said and we both leaned forward, but stopped halfway. We both smiled at each other when we opened our eyes.
"Let's cuddle instead?" Dennise asked and I nodded while we went back inside holding each other's hand.
We lie down on the bed, my arm around her waist, while the other she's using as a pillow. She's holding my hand.
"Good night, Ly." Dennise said.
"Good night, Den." I said and kissed her temple causing her to scoot in more to me.

The next day Vania asked me to meet up with her. He was also there. She was talking about what we should do for the issue to die down so we can go back to our life.
"Is that clear? Habang andito kayo pareho sa Pinas let's seize it." Vania said.
"No." I answered.
"What?" Vania asked in shock because for the first time I disagreed with her.
"I'm not doing it. I'm done being controlled by you guys." I said.
"Hahayaan mo na lang ba masira career mo ng ganun na lang? Yung pinaghirapan mo?" Vania asked and she's already pissed off.
"Why would my career be ruined? I'm not the one who cheated." I said and looked at Kiefer, "And you're right pinaghirapan ko. I'm still working hard because I'm not even close to achieving my dreams. But I will able to make it without him. I'm gonna get going."
"Ly! Wait! Ly!" He called.
"Ano pa ba gusto mo?" I asked.
"Please, Ly. Do it for me. Ly, malapit na ko sa mga pangarap ko oh. You know that this is my dream ever since. We were best friends, Ly." He said.
"We were." I said emphasizing the word were, "Pero that's already over. Clean your own mess. You're the one who put yourself in there, figure your way out."
I rode my car and drove it far away from that place. I took my phone out and immediately called her.
"Hey, besh. Everything alright?"
"Uhh... yeah. Everything's good, actually."
"Excuse me. I'll be back." I heard her say, "What's up?"
"I did it, Den. I told Vania that I'm done being controlled by them."
"Oh my gosh, Ly! I'm so proud of you!"
"Thank you, Den. For talking about it with me last night."
"Always here for you, Ly."
"Maybe in another lifetime, Den. We'll be together. I can be brave enough for the both us. But now, I'm thankful because you stayed with me."
"We will be brave enough. You and me, Ly. I will always be here for you. In another lifetime. In alternate universe. Anywhere. I'm with you, okay? A and D....
....forged forever." We both said.
