The spot light fell on nandini making her stop in her tracks. She turned around and gasped when she saw a beautiful princess carriage right in front of her under the spot light beautifully decorated with flowers. She was spellbound.
Her admiration came to an end when she heard some sound blaring from around her and only one name came out of her mouth. "Manik" it was just a whisper but could be heard aloud due to the gentle silence of the night.
Voice: yes its me! Manik! So nandini having a nice time? I am sure you are so here you go with your next surprise. Seat yourself in the carriage comfortably because it will lead you to me and fast ha because I am dying to see you now
As soon as manik completed speaking, nandini rushed inside the carriage and took her seat. She soon got busy admiring it all over again when she felt someone tugging the hem of her dress. She looked down and found a cute little boy around the age of 5, dressed in black forwarding a note to her.
Boy: didi didi yeh na apke liye hai...bhaiyya ne bheja hai
He said cute in his toddler way. Nandini went all aww on him and happily accepted the note mouthing a thankyou and giving a tight buss on his cheek which the little one returned asap to her, cupping her face with his tiny hands and pressing his small lips on her cheek. She smiled brightly at this and soon she was off, on her way to meet manik. Meanwhile during the journey she read the note that said-
A carriage to make a princess feel like a princess.

Nandini: yes you were
She murmured to herself with a smile.
Soon the carriage stopped and nandini found herself near a beautiful set up where everything looked ravishingly gorgeous.
She walked near the tree that was decorated with all red and draped with white curtains from all the sides. She had a closer look and gasped to find tiny hearts hanging on its branches along with some of their pictures. She was utterly speechless by now. She went inside to find a greeting of heart shape with her name on it. She being the curious, excited soul ran towards it and plucked it off beaming with happiness.

She opened the card gleefully and started reading it with a pleasant smile plastered on her already glowing face.
Dear Nandini,
You have no idea how special you are to me. You have fulfilled all the roles which were given to you.... You were an obedient daughter who always made her parents proud, a responsible sister who never failed her brother, a true caring friend who always looked after her friends with all her heart and the shining star to my dark sky. I don't know what would I do if you were not around. Be the same always and never change, not for me, not for the world or anything else for that matter....just be yourself cuz that's one of the things I love about you.
Manik
Nandini was overwhelmed, her eyes kinda moist after reading the card when she felt two arms encircling her waist from behind. She jumped at her place due to the touch but soon relaxed after hearing the person's voice.
Manik* backhugging her*: liked it?
He whispered huskily down her ear.
Nandini: liked? I loved it manik! Thankyou so much for this
Manik: are now you will thank your boyfriend ha?
Nandini slapped his arm playfully and manik chuckled.
Manik: acha listen today we will not be best friends but a couple kyuki valentines as best friends would be a bit awkward so for tonight I am your boyfriend and you my girlfriend
He declared nonchalantly ,dipping his head in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent while nandini stood there surrendered in his charm. Manik had that aura over her which would make her go weak on her knees in front of him.
Nandini just nodded silently.
Manik's attire
Manik: so....shall we?
He asked extending his elbow towards her.
Nandini: uh yea
She could hardly speak.
Manik: are wait I forgot something
Nandini: what now?
Manik: are wait baba
He vanished somewhere in blink of an eye whilst nandini stood there all confused and clueless. After a while manik was back, hiding something behind his back. Nandini gave him a confused look while he smiled sheepishly.
Nandini*curious*: manik what are you hiding?
Manik: wait a second. You will come to know
Was his reply.
Nandini stood there nodding her head, deep in thoughts when she felt her flower tiara being removed by manik.
Nandini: are manik let it be na...I am liking it
She said trying to stop him but he paid no heed making her annoyed.
Nandini: manik!!
She whined and pressed his lips to suppress his smile.
Soon enough she found the tiara being replaced by something else in its place. She tried removing it to see what it was but manik stopped her and took her to a mirror where she could see her self. She just gasped at her reflection with wide eyes.
There it was, a beautiful tiara studded with diamonds and white pearls just like a real princess wears. She touched it to make herself believe it was real and looked at manik who nodded his head assuringly.
Nandini*smiling*: manik yeh
She turned around to receive another shock. Manik was sitting on his one knee with his palm extended as if asking her something while she stood there palming her mouth still in surprise. Manik chuckled seeing her expressions and continued what he was doing.
Manik: so princess nandini murthy will you give me this pleasant opportunity to be your prince tonight?
Nandini giggled at his chivalry and nodded her head smilingly.
Nandini: ofcourse!
Manik*extending his arm*: so shall we princess?
Nandini*giggling*: sure we may....my prince
And winked at manik. Both shared a laugh.
They proceeded going in with nandini all the while admiring those decorations hanging and ofcourse their photos which brought back alot of memories which were stored in the back of her mind like just yesterday. She would caress their pictures smilingly and then they would start discussing that memory of theirs.
An hour passed by and now nandini was feeling hungry.
Nandini* pouting*: manik
Manik: hmm?
Nandini: I am hungry
She said caressing her stomach like a baby and manik felt like gobbling her up because of her cuteness.
Manik: oh yes....lets eat
They moved inside where there laid a beautiful dinner set up. There was a lighted path of candles that ended at the wooden table decorated with flowers and stars hanging from above. It looked mesmerizing. It was really a dream come true date for nandini and she just wished that it never ended.
Nandini took a seat and asked excitedly.
Nandini: manik what do we have to eat?
Manik: patience my dear. Till then have this
They sipped their fruit punch with nandini blabbering excitedly all the while and manik admiring her. Soon food was brought to the table.
Nandini: what are we eating manik?
Manik: have a look yourself
That was it for her. She quickly uncovered the dishes only to keep admiring them.
Nandini: manik its all so cute. How did you manage to make these?
Manik*smirks*: well...I am manik malhotra and nothing is impossible for me
Nandini stared at him in disbelief and again continued her food admiring session.
Nandini*beaming*: manik you are the best!
Saying this she pecked his cheek in excitement. Manik bit his lip and smiled touching his cheek where nandini just pecked him.
