Chapter 26

   "That went fairly well". Drake said as he followed me out to the balcony. I laughed.
   "I'm surprised that Jacob didn't rip your head off when you mentioned that you were protecting me". I stated. Drake rolled his eyes.
   "Should I have been?" He asked me.
   "I guess not. I mean he had a huge thing for me and he is a werewolf after so me becoming a vampire his mortal enemy, it doesn't sit well with him..." I replied.
    "Well yes I could see that by the way he overreacted when I said that, but he should have known that your bond with your mate, Jasper was much more stronger then anything. Nothing could have broken your bond with him". Drake explained to me. I smiled at him.
    "I'm guessing you had a strong bond like that with Emmaline". I pondered. Drake sighed and looked up at the sky. The sun shined down on both our skins and the glittering sensation returned.
    "I did, but now I'm not sure if I'll have that bond with anyone else ever again".
   "I'm sure you will". I said resting a hand on his shoulder. "And I think she's closer then you think". I turned my vision to my sister in law Alice so smiled back at us.
    "You mean Alice?". He asked straightening up. I nodded my head as he glanced back at her. Then a smile appeared on his lips.
   "She does have a calming sensation about her and she is quite beautiful...but I believe that she doesn't take too kindly to me".
    "She did at first, but I know that she's warming up to you. Trust me". I replied. He sighed.
   "Are you sure?"
   "Positive. Just give it some time". I reassured him just as Jasper came to join us.
   "I'll give you two some alone time". Drake said as he began to walk away. But before he could I reached out for his arm.
   "Go talk to her. Oh and she enjoys those walks in the forest that you two go on". I added as he smiled. Then I let go of his arm and watched as he exited the outside. I turned my gaze back to my husband and sat up on the balcony. Jasper smiled his wonderful smile at me and I smiled back.
    "Are you trying to set Drake up with Alice?" Jasper questioned me. I nodded my head and he let out a chuckle.
   "I think they'd be good for each other". I replied back.
   "I never took you for the type to play match maker". He grinned.
    "Well Drake deserves to be happy again after what the vile Volturi did to his mate and Alice has been lonely for so long...". I said. Jasper sighed. Jasper had told me that Alice had had a mate a long time ago, but he was burnt to death by the rogue and since then she had never found another. It was now time for her to have one. She deserved to happy just as much as the rest of us.
    "You are correct Avery. They both deserve better then what has happened to them". He said.
    "I am grateful that I have you by my side Avery Cullen. I love you my beautiful wife". Jasper said leaning up to kiss me. I brought my lips closer his.
   "And I love you Jasper Cullen". I whispered as Jasper picked me up in his arms and rushed us into the bedroom of our cottage.
