"You look a bit distracted today Charlie. Is there anything you want to talk to me about?" Coach asks
"Yeah there's a member of the Mafia casually watching my every move, you know the usual"
But I say that to myself so no one else can hear it but me.
"No, I'm just a bit tired Coach" I tell him avoiding the problem
"You should really get help for your insomnia Charlie, it's not good to live like this" He replies
"Yeah, I guess I should" I say
"Now for the triple axel, you just need to-"
But I can hear anything he says
My attention is on the guy standing behind the viewing glass, his bright blue irises looking into my chestnut eyes.
What does he want from me?
"Got it?" Coach asks and suddenly I'm snapped back to reality
"Yeah got it Coach" I reply back with a sigh
Truth is I have no clue what the man just said
I skate around and turn to look at the viewing window.
Jordan give me a slight wave and flashes a smile at me.
Ohh so that's what his face looks like. Not gonna lie he is quite charming but I-
Shit!
"Oh my god, Charlie-san I'm so sorry I didn't see you and I-"
"It's alright Yuzu-kun, it's not your fault. I was distracted"
"Are you two alright?" Coach calls from side with a concerned tone
"All good!" I call back with a thumbs up
"Here, let me help you up" Yuzu says extending his hand out to me
I reach for his hand and once up, the two of us circle the ice together.
"You said you were distracted. It was about Jordan right?" He asks in our native tongue
"Sadly, yeah. I can't focus with him around. It just scares me to death knowing that he's always watching; gives me the chills" I say with a small shudder
"I'm sorry I can't think of anything to do, Charlie, but I know the three of us can figure this out. You know, we're called figure skaters for a reason because we figure stuff out!" Yuzu says laughing at his own lame joke
And I laugh too.
The thing about Yuzu is that he can always brighten my day even when the shittiest of things happen, for example, the situation I'm in right now.
What would I do without him? Well I guess I wouldn't have a sore ass if I didn't collide with him, but you know, it was partially my fault. Or should I say Jordan's fault.

The three of us head out to the foyer once practice is over. I don't know about you but a bath seems like a good idea right now.
"Charlie can I speak to you for a minute?" Coach asks, peeping out of his office
"Yeah sure" I tell him
"You guys go without me. I'll meet you in the car" I say to the boys
The boys leave the rink and I part ways with them as I head back to Coach's office.
"Watcha got for me Coachy?" I ask him as I take a seat on one of the chairs by his desk
"I forgot to tell you, Kurt is coming back tomorrow to work on your exhibition program. Apparently he's got an idea started for you" He says
"Ok sounds good, thanks for letting me know" I tell him
With the nod of his head, I take it as my cue to leave.
I walk into the foyer ready to leave the club, but before I can even get half way to the the door, someone emerges from behind me.
"Hello Charlotte" Says a husky deep voice
Awah fuck, right when I'm left alone.
"Uhh...sup?" I say trying to sound casual but failing
Sup?

He laughs a rough chuckle, finding my response hilarious.
"I've got an offer for you Charlotte, and I hope you agree" He says as he moves forward, inching towards me
Suddenly he's so close to me that my nose is practically touching the cotton of his hoodie. I can smell the cologne drifting off his body as he towers over me.
This can't be good.
His arm snakes around my waist bring me even closer so him.
"I know how this life hasn't been treating you fairly and I can understand" he whispers in my ear. All I can do at the moment is listen because I'm not in the place to do anything drastic
"Your sister dies in a terrible accident, you and your parents don't get along, your skating career is falling, and everything else seems like it comes from fiction" he says, repeating my life story
"You don't know shit!" I yell pushing myself away from him
"I know more than you think sweetheart. So hear me out, I give you anything you want in turn for what I want" he says circling around me
"And what do you want?" I ask crossing my arms over my chest
I make bad decisions, that was clarified earlier. So honestly, I should not have even asked him what it was he wanted.
"You sweetheart" he says grabbing my right hand like a tango and putting his other arm around my waist
"Tough shit!" I yell trying to break out of his grip, but it's no use; I'm a weakling
"I'm in the process of making my own mafia, one to overthrow those cowards back in Rome. I've seen the way you've been through hell and back in your life; I see myself in you" he says to me
"I'm nothing like you!",I spit, "You're a criminal!"
"That I am but I'm also a man who's in love with you"
At this point I'm too stunned to do anything. What do I say to that?
"Please Charlotte, think about. I can give you whatever you want. This world hasn't been fair to either of us, but together we can take back what it took from us" he tells me trying to sound sincere
"This world took everything from me. But I'm gonna be the bigger person here and not turn on it; you have to fall to get back up" I tell him
"Always the wise one,sweetheart. But do you remember what you said to me all those years ago?" He says with a smirk at the end
Oh god, past me always screws over present me. What did I say?
"You told me you owed me, and I'm back to take up that offer. You don't promise the mafia something and not return the favour" he says with mischief in his voice
"You don't need me. You don't need my help to run your mafia!" I shout, again trying to budge from his grip
"But I need successors and I want only my love to raise them with me" he says with that stupid smirk in his eyes
I can't even tell him off again before he goes into his next sentence.
"Just think about alright sweetheart? But just know that I'll be watching you like I always do" he says, letting me slip from his grip
I watch him as he makes his way down a long hallway in the club, stopping once to turn around.
"Oh, and I appreciate the fact that you got your little friends together to research me. I think it's cute how you want to know more about your future husband" he says giving me a quick wink at the end
Once he's finally out of my sight, I stand still in the foyer of the Cricket Club for almost a solid 3 minutes.
What just happened?
As I snap out of my trance, I grab my duffle bag and sprint into the parking lot to find Javi's car.
Thank god it's still bright out
I find Javi's car and yank open the door to the back seat, hurrying to get in.
"Hey what did Coach wan-" Javi starts, as he turns from the drivers seat to look at me
I can't even let him finish his sentence before I scream,"DRIVE", and off we went
