Russian Roulette.

I watched as you calmly pulled out the revolver.
You barely looked at me as you flicked out the cylinder and placed a single shot in the cartridge.
I gulped as you snapped it into place and spun the cylinder around.
I caught your eyes and stared into them, silently begging you to stop.
Begging you to stop shutting me out.
Begging you to place the gun down and let me in.
But, I knew you wouldn't listen.

You took aim at me and smirked.
You warned me to move, or you would destroy me.
I raised my eyebrow and couldn't help the sadistic grin that took over my face.
I braced myself.

We both breathed out a slight sigh of relief.

You took aim again, the gun pointing right at my head.
I made a bored gesture and I saw you clench your jaw.
I wasn't scared of you.
Not even when you held everything to destroy me.

You frowned, annoyed I hadn't run away yet.
You didn't understand why I was still here.
I adjusted my posture, aware I was running out of time.
Soon, the shot would hit.

You growled and marched over to me, trying to intimidate me.
I stood still and watched in silence as you spewed out the words that were meant to break me, make me run away.
I shrugged and tilted up the corner of my mouth in a smile.
You groaned and ran your hand through your hair.

You were so close, I could feel your body heat.
I could hear your erratic breaths.
Your intoxicating scent flooded me.
You turned me to goo.

You held the barrel to my temple and we locked eyes again.
Your jaw was clenched, your eyes hard, thinking I couldn't see past the facade.

*Click*

I let out a slow breath and one fat tear rolled down my face, making you grimace like I physically hit you.
You spat more words at me, like knives.
Then you placed the gun to my chest, pointed at my heart.

My eyes widened and I looked up at you.
I begged you.
But you didn't hear a word.
You stared into my eyes and your shaking finger pulled the trigger.

*Bang*
