Chapter 4

Louis Above Or To The Side

Rosaline and Joey were in his room laughing and playing with his action figures after spending a couple of hours in the indoor pool.
She was just about to tackle Joey to the ground for telling her that she is a horrible villain, as they were playing Good verse Evil, when there was a knock at the door.
Sighing she got up off the ground as Joey kept on playing and went to open the door.

George watched as the door opened to reveal the girl in a swimsuit with a cover on over it. He must admit that she is quite beautiful but he finds it hard to admire her when she is not of his kind. He's one out of a group of many who think their species should not mix with the likes of humans for it makes weaker offspring. 'Maybe the King, once he gets her of course, could stick her with an attractive human male and breed them to have beautiful offspring that the king could keep to admire or make into servants' he mused.

The girl gave him a confused look to which he gave her an aggravated one.

"It's five o'clock, miss. I came to make sure you get ready on time for dinner."

Rosaline's eyes widened as she looked over to Joeys window to see the sun setting. The time has really gone by fast with how much fun her and her little brother were having together.
She turned back to George.

"Thanks for informing me. I'll go get ready and be down."

"I am suppose to make sure you're correctly dressed as well as down on time, miss."

She narrowed her eyes at him.
"So what, are you gonna come into my room with me and watch me get dressed like a creep just to make sure?"

'I could twist your neck before your next blink' George thought not replying to her.

"I'm a big girl and can get down on time fully dressed thank you." She said sourly.

George gave her a look that almost promised death.

"As you wish, miss." he growled through his teeth and turned on his heels before disappearing down the hallway.

She glared at his back until he was out of sight and then looked over to Joey to see him already putting the action figures up and going and sitting on his bed.

"Do you need help getting ready bud?"

Joey shook his head. "No. My nanna is pose to come help me."

Rosaline raised an eyebrow at the word nanna knowing that he meant nanny. She cursed in her head at her mother for not having the time to watch Joey herself when she had all of the time in the world when dad was around. She knows all of this is Louis's fault but she's having a hard time not blaming her mother for at least a small part of it.

She nodded her head at Joey and walked out of his room, leaving the door open for the supposed nanny,  to her own to get ready for the night.

* * * * * * * * * *

Rosaline stood in front of the body mirror connected to the wall in her big closet in a figure hugging red, backless dress that reached to above her knees with a heart shaped neckline and thick lace straps paired with black peep toe heels.
She wasn't going to dress up, after getting out of the much needed shower she was planning to slip on a random pair of jeans and blouse being she's not into dressing fancy and she wanted to piss Louis and George off, but as soon as she seen the dress she couldn't help but try it on and loved how it looked. It's the first dinner they were having since Regina and Louis wed anyways so why not. She has to say, her mother does have good taste even when having a different persona.

She turned from the mirror and tested out the heels that she needs more work on walking in and walked out of her closet, stumbling slightly, to her vanity table and sat down in the comfortable chair in front of it. She brushed out what knots there were in her hair while listening to Imagine Dragons play on her stereo and then added some makeup to her face.
After she was done she got started on her hair and made it into a braided updo letting several pieces of hair fall.

She got up and moved back to her body mirror, while trying to dance unsuccessfully in her heels to the music, to see how it all looked together. As she admired her image she noticed how the dress made her look more mature.

She smiled at her reflection and turned back out of her closet to see what the time was.
P

icking her phone up off of the charger on one of the nightstands she turned it on to see the time was a little past six pm. Who knew she had amazing timing? She grabbed a small black clutch from the closet and stuck her phone and money in just incase.

She walked out of her room ready to get it all over with and over to Joey's to see if he was ready. She opened his door and peeked inside to see him not there. She frowned to herself but figured he was with the rest waiting for her.
She walked down the hall and to the stairs that led downstairs and began to make her way down slowly feeling the need to not be on time just to piss Louis off since she couldn't by dressing perfectly.

Louis couldn't help but growl to himself when he looked down at his watch to see the time was six-forty and Rosaline was still not down. Their reservation was set for seven at the Linwood Restraunt and if they don't leave now they might not make it and he won't be able to show the girl off to the ones who were coming to observe her for the king.
He growled lowly again and began to pace in front of Regina and the kid.

Regina reached out and touched his arm to try and calm him down. "She should be down any minute now. I'm sure we will make it on time."

He glared over at her and jerked his arm out from under her hand causing her to flinch back slightly.

He looked to George who was standing in the corner with his hands held behind his back watching him.

"Were you not suppose to make sure she got down here on time?" He asked through an almost snarl seeing the kid out of the corner of his eye try to hide behind his mother.

George bowed his head slightly submitting to Louis as he could see him close to losing it. He always had a short temper, especially with people who were not on time or if things didn't go his way.

"She said she would be on time, sir."

Louis glared at him. "Well as you can see she isn't. Go and get her." He ordered.

George bowed again and began to make his way up one of the stairs until he spotted the girl coming down the other set.

Louis felt like he was going to blow a fuse until he finally seen the girl coming down. He was hit by lust as soon as he took in her figure. 'The wolfs are gonna love this' he thought.

Rosaline made it to the living room and looked to the door to see Regina, Joey and Louis all waiting by it. Her mother had on a black figure hugging floor length dress with the neckline in a lace design. Her light brown hair was up in a similar complicated twist as earlier and her makeup was darker making her grey eyes look brighter this time.

She looked beautiful.

Looking to Joey to see him in a cute little grey suit with a red tie that matched her dress she gave him a smile. His light brown hair was patted down to his head with gel leaving no curls, only the ends could curl up.
Rosaline grinned at his pouted lips and crossed arms as his grey eyes watched her.

Finally she turned to Louis with her smile immediately dropping and she looked at him in disgust as his blue eyes looked at her with nothing but complete lust not even caring that her mother was right beside him.
He was in a black suit with a black tie to match her mothers dress and his red hair was slicked back like how it was earlier but looking like he added extra gel.
She was beginning to regret getting all dressed up as Louis continued to shamelessly look over her figure.

Regina stepped over to Rosaline, not noticing how her husband was checking her daughter out, and gave her a small hug.

"Rosa, you look so precious. It's a good thing I picked that dress, it look's stunning on you."

Rosaline gave her a small smile. "Thank you, mother."

Louis came over and gave her a flirtatious grin forgetting about his earlier anger.

"You do look wonderful." He commented not being able to help raking his eyes over her once more. He caught Regina looking at him in the corner of his eye and quickly turned to her. "Almost as wonderful as your mother here." He grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it making her smile and immediately forgive him for scaring her earlier.

George cleared his throat causing them all to look over at him.

"The limo is waiting to take you all to the restraunt, sir."

Louis nodded. "Yes, we need to leave right away before we are late." He took Regina's hand into his and put it through his arm and was about to grab Rosaline's to do the same but seen her move over to the brat and grab his. He narrowed his eyes a little and quickly headed out the door.

Rosaline smiled down at Joey as they followed their mother and stepfather to the limo. He really did not look happy about being in a suit with his hair slicked down judging from the frown that is probably going to stick to his face for the rest of the night if she doesn't fix it.
She bumped her hip against his arm making him look up at her.

"Ready for food and IceCream?"

At the sound of IceCream a grin split across his face immediately and he nodded his head vigorously up and down.
She laughed and tugged him into the awaiting limo.

* * * * * * * * * *

Sitting down at the restraunt table with a steak laid out in front of her Rosaline sat listening to Regina and Louis talk business and watching Joey go at his kids meal involving chicken strips and fries while talking through mouthfuls about all of his favorite IceCreams.
They were able to get here just as the time hit seven and were showed right to their table.
Of course her mother and Louis go straight to talking about work instead of paying attention to her and Joey, not that she cared as much.

She looked around the restraunt admiring how classy it looks with all of the stuck-up people sitting in booths or at tables talking amongst themselves, probably about business or drama, and spotted a booth over in the far corner with gentlemen who looked well dressed in business suits. She wouldn't have noticed them much if it wasn't for all four looking at her and turning away as soon as they caught her eye.

She narrowed her eyes and studied them.

Two of them looked to be in their early thirties or late twenties while the other two looked to be in their forties. She furrowed her eyebrows wondering why they were looking over here. She shook her head thinking maybe they weren't really looking at her and turned back to her steak. After a couple of minutes she peeked back over at them in the corner of her eye to see them once again looking directly at her. She quickly lifted her head looking over at them and they turned their heads again.

'What the hell?'

She looked on the table in front of them where their hands were crossed to see that they weren't eating and the menu was still out in front of them. They were talking amongst themselves, all leaned in conspiratorially as if about something of importance. All of a sudden they stood at once and filed out of the booth. She watched as they glanced back over to her not seeming to care that they were making eye contact with her and then looked towards the front of her and nodded before they began making their way to the exit.
She looked in front of her to where Louis sat just in time to see him turn his head back to his food and her mother with a grin on his face.

He was looking in the same direction the men were.

Confused she turned her head back around to see them gone.
She let out a huff and looked back to Louis to see him still talking to her mother not looking at her once.

'That was weird.' she thought, 'Does Louis know those men? Why did they nod to him and why did he grin when they did?'

She shook her head at herself. She's reading too much into nothing. Maybe he wasn't even looking in their direction and he was grinning about something else.

She sighed and relaxed her shoulders going back to finishing her steak. When she gets back to the house she's jumping straight into bed because it seems she really need's more sleep.
