'I hope things are different this time.' You thought as you got out of your apartment with your backpack over your shoulders as you turned to lock your door.
You lived alone because you ran away from home at the age of 13. Your parents didn't really care and supported the idea, you know this because they never sent anyone after you. They treated you just like other people in this world.
You sighed, you just wanted to be different but every time something would always push you down, you just wanted a different life from the one you had now.
You thought this as you walked into your new school, One Piece High. Once you stepped onto the campus, people already stopped what they were doing and glared at you. You sighed as you felt that pain in your heart, that pain you felt ever since the first grade, that pain that made you truly forget what love felt like. Your grip on your books tightened. You felt like crying.
You went to your homeroom. The teacher there had a huge smile, red hair, and three scares going across his left eye. You then notice he only had one arm.
"Ok class, we have a new student today." He said nicely, but you were sure it was a cover up. No one was ever nice to you when they fist see, talk or just meet you in general, plus it's his job as a teacher. He's SUPPOSED to be both nice and strict. Plus you knew he was going to give you failing grades on purpose. If only you knew.
You looked at the class. They were glaring and whispering mostly. Some just looked at you and waved, smiled or just plainly stared at you with an emotionless face (can you guess who? :3), but you were sure it was fake, just a simple cover up. If only you knew.
"Now,would you like to give us your name? I'm Mr. Shanks, but just call me Shanks, like the rest of the class." He said. You nodded in reply.
"(Y/n) (l/n)" is all you said as you head towards the only desk open. You avoided the feet that tried to trip you, as you walked towards your seat.
Once at your desk you noticed a man with green hair sound asleep on his desk with drool coming out of his mouth.
The teacher noticed him but continued to teach the class that was actually paying attention, leaving you there thinking 'What the hell?'.
You pushed it aside and stated drawing on our paper. Besides you already know what he is teaching.
The day flew past you, and it was now lunch. The worst time of the day, for you that is.
This is the time of day were people throw food at you... constantly, trip you, call you names, and so much more.
You sighed as you sat down and started eating your lunch.
As you began eating your lunch, a guy wearing a straw hat yelled your name causing you to turn his head towards his direction.
"Hey (y/n), why don't you sit with me and my friends!" He yelled with a smile. You looked at his friends, they too were smiling and looking at you.
"Don't listen to them, their just trying to trick you." A miniature devil-like creature, that looked like you,said as she appeared on your left shoulder. (or was it right? I have no idea! Oh well on with the story)
"No (y/n), say yes! They are really friendly." The miniature angel-like creature, that yet again looked like you, said as she appeared on your right shoulder.
You constantly had this angel-devil encounters that tried to reason with you.
"She said that the last time! And where did that lead you?! With a broken heart! Just ignore them! You don't need anyone, but yourself." The devil yelled as it pointed it's pitchfork like thing at the Angel.
"Things can always be different, plus that's not true because no one in this world is by themselves, there's always someone by them even if that person doesn't realize it." The Angel said as she started looking at the group.
You sighed as you turned away from the group and started eating again. This caused the devil to leave with a smirk on her face and the Angel to look a little sad, but the devil was right. The last time you listened to the Angel on this topic, it ended up with a heart break for you.
The straw hat boy kept calling your name, while getting irritated by the second since you were ignoring them. He then stopped calling your name, which made you a bit happy that he finally quite... Our so you thought.
Just when you were about to take a bit out of your (f/f), you heard shuffling and trays being placed in front of you, and beside you.
You looked up in front of you and saw a mountain load of food and the straw hat boy.
"You didn't answer me so me and my friends went to you!" He said with a huge smile. You sweat dropped.
'What an idiot. It's obvious that if no ones answering you, they don't want anything to do with you. Or something along those lines.' You thought as you looked around.
There was a girl with strawberry blonde hair on his right, and a small brunette boy with a blue band aid on his nose. On the other side of the strawberry blonde was a girl with ravin hair and on the other side of the small brunette was a guy with blonde hair and a curly eyebrow.
You then looked to your left side. There sat a man with blue hair and next to him was a guy with an afro and a violin.
You looked to your right. There sat the same guy that was in your home room and next to him was a guy with a long nose, he reminded you of Pinocchio really.
You were about to get up but someone pushed you back down.
"Don't waste your time getting up and moving away from us, he will just continue following you. He never stops till things go his way. Trust me on this." The green haired man said as his arm left your shoulder.
"Hi (y/n)! I'm Monkey D. Luffy! And these are my friends!" He, yet again, yelled with a smile going ear to ear.
"This is Nami! And that's Chopper!" He pointed towards the boy and girl that was besides him. "Next to Nami is Robin! She's really smart! And next to Chopper is Sanji! He's a really good cook!" He then pointed to the said two.
"On your left is Franky and next to him is Brook and on your right is Zoro and next to him is Usopp!" He said with a smile as he pointed to the said person every time.
You just nodded your head, not wanting to say anything as you got up and left for class.
As you were walking to class some one pushed you into the lockers, pinning you there. You struggled to get out of the person's hold ur they were too strong.
"I don't know what your doing at this school and I don't care honestly, but trash like you doesn't belong at this school. This school is for people who actually have a life." He spat at you. This was just the tip of the iceberg kind of bullying that you get on a everyday basis.
You didn't respond, you didn't do anything at all.
He was about to punch you but someone grabbed his fist before he landed the attack. The man that was about to attack you glared at the man that stopped, it but his glare soon turned into a look of horror.
You looked at your savor. It was Zoro.
"Who do you think you are trying to hurt my friend." He asked in a dark tone with a smirk on his face.
The guy attacking you started running away screaming 'mommy'. Wow some bully huh.
You looked at Zoro and smiled, a real smile not a fake smile that you put up for all those years. "Thanks Zoro."
After that day, Zoro has been the one walking you to classes, driving the bullies away, and protecting you. In the process he fell in love with you and you fell in love with him. He confessed to you and you confessed to him.
Now that you are looking back to when you first met the gang, the Angel was right.
