"A-Austin?" I stutter.
"Hey." He says in a nervous tone.
"W-what is all of this?" I demand
"This? This is what I call trying."
I was a little confused at first but then I got what he was saying.
I turned around and began walking out when he ran in front of me and closed the door.
"Lilah please! All I'm asking for is a chance. One chance. Please? If all this goes good please take me back!" He pleads.
"Fine austin but if something happens I swear to god..." My voice trailed off.
He smiles sheepishly before grabbing my hand.
He leads me to a back room and I gasp when I realize what's fixing to happen.
In the room, the aquarium walls are over my head and I see fish and sharks all around me.
The lighting is dim but just enough to see that there is a table set for two in the middle of the room.
Austin walks over and pulls out my seat for me.
I sit down then he scoots it in before siting down himself.
There was an awkward silence.
"So how are you?" He asks.
"Not to good." I admit.
"Awe why?"
"Because the boy I'm in love with cheated on me with not one girl but two."
Austin's facial expression changes to guilt. He doesn't speak he just looks down at his hands.
"I put your door back up for you." He says.
"Really? That was you?"
"Yeah... Here I bought you these." He says and out of no where pulls out a bouquet of yellow roses.
"Aww thanks ba-Austin!" I say shocking myself. I almost called him babe.
"You're welcome."
Gosh why is this so awkward?!
Pretty soon, music plays. It's 'Bless the broken road' by Rascal Flatts. Hmm.
"Wanna dance?" I blurt out. Oh my god Delilah why did you say that why-
"Sure." Austin says, interrupting my thoughts.
We stand up and he takes my right hand in his left.
I place my left on his shoulder while his right goes to my waist.
"Do you even know how to dance like this?" I ask with a giggle.
"Not really... Lets switch."
We start laughing while I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his back around my waist.
He pulls me close. A little closer than 'just friends' should even be. Oh well.
We begin rocking back and forth to the beat.
He just keeps staring at me.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing. You're just too beautiful."
Why is he making this so difficult?! Oh my gosh!
I tried my hardest to not look into his eyes but finally I caved in.
As soon as our eyes locked, I melted.
Our eyes never broke contact as we looked deep into each others eyes.
We soon quit dancing and sit back down.
"Are you hungry?" He asks.
"Uh yeah actually I am." I admit with a rather loud and grumbling stomach.
"Well lucky for you, I have made us some fancy dinner."
"And by fancy you really do mean pizza right?" I ask with a laugh.
He pretends to pout.
"I can't help it. I'm addicted!"
Austin goes to a random fridge in the middle of the room and pulls out a pizza.
"How romantic." I tease with a smile.
Austin chuckles before serving us both.
We pig out and soon wish for seconds.
"So?" He says.
"So what?"
"Is the night going good?" He asks with a twinkle in his eye.
"Surprisingly... Yes."
"Really?" He asks with enthusiasm.
"Yes!"
"Then will you please except this?" He asks.
He pulls out the promise ring he had once given me.
This is it. It's now or never. Should I say yes? Or should I say no?
Here goes nothing.
"Yes." I say.
Austin jumps up, picks me up out of my chair and spins me around.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much Delilah." He whispers while setting me back down. "I promise. I will NEVER let you go."
He gently places the ring on my finger again before looking back into my green eyes.
I then notice his eyes watering.
"Austin why are you crying?"
I ask while pulling him closer to me.
"I've just missed you so much Delilah you have no idea." He says while letting a single year fall down his beautiful face.
I wrap my arms around his neck and gently run my hands through his perfect hair while he buries his head in my neck.
He pulls away and brushes a piece of hair behind my ear.
He then closes his eyes before leaning slightly in just enough to brush his warm sweet lips against mine.
Gosh have I missed those!
He gently presses them against mine. I feel him smile into the kiss. Okay I admit it. I was definitely smiling too.
Our lips began moving in sync like they always have along with swarming butterflies throughout my stomach and the never ending sparks flying all around.
He pulls back and looks at me in the eyes.
"Come here. I have a surprise for you."
He walks me over to a door and he gently pushes it open. He turns on the light and I couldn't believe my eyes.
There was a huge and beautiful bed lying in the middle and around was another aquarium with even more tropical colored fish.
He brings me over to the bed and sits me down.
"Wait here!" He exclaims.
He walks over to a huge desk and pulls out a piece of paper. It looks like some sort of picture.
He brings it over to me and I immediately know what it is.
"Oh my gosh austin where did you find that?" I ask taking it from him.
"My mom found it in the guest bedroom where you're parents stayed. I thought you may want it."
With one look my eyes started watering.
Pretty soon I was crying. Sobbing even. I can't believe this.
