Kk.

I have 193 followers. Very close to 200.

When I get 200, I will be super happy.

So I will....

What should I do?

Victor's POV

I clenched the letter tightly in my fist.

Why was it him?

I sighed and placed it on the table. This was the worst times. Percy wasn't getting any better. In fact, he had caught a bad cold and I forced him not to use any of his powers.

Chaos couldn't give us some time.

"Victor?"

I saw Percy walk in, his hands in his pockets.
"Why did you ask me to come?"
I wordlessly handed him the letter. He glanced at me and at the letter, smoothing it out with his hands. He read it, and read it again, again and again.
He looked back up at me.
"So... I have to go?"
"Yes."
He looked back down at the paper.
"Maybe I can ask Chaos to give us some time-"
"No." he sighed, setting down the letter. "One month is enough. I have to go anyway. The other soldiers have to too. We're only supposed to have about a year off."
".... Will you be okay?"
"I have to be, don't I?"
I closed my eyes and opened them again.
"When should we leave?"

~

Apparently, every soldier got the letter.
Luke, Ethan, and Zoe decided to stay longer- because of Tartarus. But everyone else was going. Percy didn't say anything, he just kept his scarf over his mouth and had put his mask on, preventing anyone from trying to talk to him.

Reyna kissed me on the cheek, and I kissed her back on the lips shortly.
"Remember to IM everyday."
"Of course."
"Tell me everything."
"Alright." I pecked her on the cheek and she smiled warmly at me.
"Portal?" Percy asked.
I gave her once last kiss before crashing the small glass pendent on the ground. It swirled and hissed as it killed some of the grass on the ground. I glanced at Reyna's smile one last time and stepped through the portal.

But unfortunatly, the last thing I saw was Annabeth's face.

It didn't make me very happy.

I knew that Percy had seen her.

She looked utterly heartbroken, her eyes glistened with tears.

I wished Luke hadn't had put a comforting arm around her.

~

"Percy?"

He looked up at Bianca. "Yes?"
"Should we call you Omega?"
He paused for a few seconds. "I guess that would be better."
Beckendorf walked next to me, holding
Silena's hand. "Do you think you'll be okay dealing with them?"
Percy sighed, knowing who exactly 'them' were. "I hope Dillan kept everything under control."
"Don't worry, Kayla would of helped too." Silena chirped.
"I guess so."

When we arrived at the big building, all of the soldiers and I went to their dorms while Percy went to Chaos's office.
I unpacked my bag and looked around the empty room. I liked it, having my dorm all to myself. But sometimes, the silence didn't always feel so good.
"Victor?"
Lee poked his head into my room.
"Commander said he would be in the training room till dinner."
I scowled, but I knew it was right. He needed to train too.
"Fine. Tell him if I don't see him at the mess hall, he's dead."
He slipped off, and I resumed unpacking.

Omega.

He had a lot of problems then.

Now he just had more as Percy.

Maybe he would get them sorted out somehow.

~

Percy's POV

Coward.

I slashed through a dummy and kicked the other one hard in the head.

I wasn't supposed to have any thoughts while I trained.

One dummy crumpled to the ground as one stumbled around, trying to regain balance. I destroyed the last one and it's head rolled off into the corner. I wiped my sweat and glanced at the clock.

Just a few minutes.

I set up a few more dummy's and tried to rewire my brain into only thinking about destroying it.

You can't hide it.

It'll follow you around forever.

What about ANNABETH?

I clenched my teeth tight and slashed through a dummy.

What will you do?

Can you change your fate?

With a yell, I exploded the rest of the dummies, clutching my head.

"I don't care I don'tcareIdon'tcareIDON'T CARE!"

I crouched in the middle of the small arena, thinking about how I had to die.

~

Percy didn't come fore dinner.

I let him, and didn't barge into the arena.
But he wasn't coming till ten.

I hadn't noticed time passing in the hospital- and I realized that he wasn't in his room, I blew a fuse.

Yes- I could tell. He wasn't in his room, or his office, or Chaos's office. I half walked and half ran to the arena, bumping into a few soldiers. I ran through the open doors and skidded to a stop when I saw Percy slipping out of a room with a towel around his neck. When he saw me, he brightened.
"Hi!"
"I told you to come for dinner."
He scratched his head. "I didn't keep track of time...."
"You trained till ten!?"
He nodded slowly.
"Percy."
He nodded again.
"Pleasepleasepleaseplease PLEASE listen to me. You can't stay in the arena all the time unless you want to be carried off by a stretcher."
"Okay!"
"Train one or two hours in the morning tommorow, and after dinner. No more than that. Just rest."
He bit his lip. "But I have to patrol the city and I have papers due by tommorow- I have to stay up the night and turn them in before tommorow afternoon."
"Doesn't Chaos ever give you a break?"
"I need to get things done. I was gone for a year. This place was in a state of anarchy. I need to set it back."
I looked straight into his eyes, and realized he was not as idiotic as I thought. I sighed and pushed my hair back.

"Come to my dorm."

~

"Are you taking your medicine everyday?"

He nodded slowly as I felt his pulse.
"You're not coughing much these days."
"I guess."
I sighed. "Atleast you're getting better."
He put his cloak on, slipping it on like it was water.
"I'll go now."
"You can sleep a little, right?"
He nodded as he went out. I sighed and sat down on my bed.

The first soldier.

Dead.

Second.

Dead.

Third.

Ran away.

Fourth.

Dead.

Fifth.

Nearly ended up killing me.

For the rest of time, I never had gotten another soldier again.

Thousands of years in the hospital, life spinning around endlessly.

Thats when I met the crow.

The big, human, broken crow.

He was sad. Wouldn't tell me anything. He didn't mind me being mean to him- he didn't know anything. He was so idiotically loyal I saw him as a kid.

A kid who knew nothing about life.

I saw him as a demigod who lived a happy life but was angered with death and somehow thought that he could get revenge on whoever.

He was nice though.

I remembered.

~

FLASHBACK

I looked around the small town of Delphi.
Not much had changed. Just a few things, like the tree and a few houses.

It had only been a few years anyway.

I still had the scar on my chest, and it hurt a lot. It reminded me everything- and this was after my first soldier had died.

Chaos.

He was okay. But I couldn't trust him fully.

Would Alathea be here?

I walked to where our old house was. It was now just ground and a cliff over the sea- probably someone had burned it to the ground. I crouched down and scooped up the ground, letting it fall through my fingers.

Home.

"Father..."

I looked up at the sun, not caring if it burned my eyes. I wanted to keep it in my memory- I never knew when I would get to see it again.

I heard footsteps, and a delighted laugh. I straightened and looked back, and the two people behind me froze.

A woman and a small boy.

"Victor?" she took a step back, holding the boy's hand tight.
I turned around completely and took a step towards her, making her take another step back.
"D-don't come closer!" she put out her knife in front of her, her hands shaking.
"You- you're supposed to be dead. Be gone."
The boy looked utterly confused, but was hidden half behind her skirts.

Jet black hair. Green eyes.

Not like Alathea's, but a blue green color, not exactly like the sea, but not like the green of plants or the blue of the sky.

He was quite a handsome boy.

I looked back at Alathea, who glared at me in fear. I could see her shaking in her chiton. I took another step foward, sticking my face in close to hers. She was completely frozen as I met her eyes with mine.

"Why, I can't even say hello?"

My voice was sharp, and somewhat cold. She took a step back, dropping her knife. I picked it up, and she scrambled back, stumbling and sitting down on the grass.
"Please! Please I'm sorry- just- just don't kill him!"
I scowled and tossed the knife away.
"I can't believe it. You. You just killed me and you're pleading not to kill your son."
"He- he's your son!"
I narrowed my eyes.

I knew very well he was not.

I took out my own golden blade and stuck it under her chin. She made a short, strangled sound and her son stared at me, completely frozen.

"I wasn't coming here to kill you." I snarled. "But now.... Wow. I cannot understand you." I took the blade away.

"I just wanted to ask you." I slipped the blade in my belt again, staring into her eyes. "Why you liked him."
I glanced at the boy.
"Where's the boy's father?"
She looked down.
"I'm dead Alathea. You have to pay something for killing me."
"The father ran away." she said bitterly.
I gave my hand to her, and she stared at it.
"It's your choice."

She glanced at me, and at my hand. She took it carefully, and I dropped her off the cliff.

Screaming.

How does it feel?

The boy screamed along with his mother and stared down the cliff, watching his mother fall.

"Who- who are you?!"

I took a step foward, and he took a step back.

What would I look to the boy?

A monster?

I sighed and looked down.

The poor boy.

I sat down on the grass.

What would I do now?

I grabbed his shoulders tight. He looked at me with wide fearful eyes as he dissapeared into bright light.

He would be happier- or I hoped.

I looked down the cliff, staring at the blue ocean.

I closed my eyes and jumped.
