Okay Gracie.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
WHY.
Okay, you know what?
I didn't smell Sirius; I smelt Regulus.
YES. THAT'S WHAT I'LL GO WITH.
I smelt Reg, not Sirius.
But either way, I'm apparently in love with a Black.
Gah.
THE POTION IS A LIE!
"OH! SORRY!" I yelped as I ran into someone.
"WHAT THE!"
I looked up and saw Regulus. Oh.
"Hi Reg."
"Hi, Gracie."
I smiled.
"Reg? Can we have a picnic later?"
Reg shrugged.
"Sure."
"Okay. See you later."
"Bye!"
I skipped away to go to Lunch, sighing happily.
Glad I got that figured out. I do, in fact, do not love Sirius Black. I love Regulus Black. Yes. That's it. I've been hanging out with Reg so much I've developed romantic feelings for him.
I hope.
*~*~*
"Hiii Reg!" I screamed as he sat down next to me on the picnic blanket.
"Hiii Gracie!"
I beamed and opened the picnic basket.
"YOU CUT THE CRUST OFF THE SANDWICHES! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND!" I shrieked, grabbing the bag of sandwiches and holding them close to me.
Reg raised an eyebrow.
"Okay?"
I grinned and dropped the sandwiches.
"I'm hungry," I whined.
He rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Then eat." He said, taking a triangle shaped sandwich with no crust.
Reg is my best friend. I swear.
I snatched a sandwich out of the bag and shoved it in my mouth.
"This sandwich is good." I said when I had swallowed.
Reg grinned at me as he ate his sandwich.
"Favorite color?" He asked.
"Purple."
"Favorite animal?"
"Wolf, but a dog is a close second."
"Favorite lesson?"
"Transfiguration."
"Favorite teacher?"
"McGonagall." I said with a smile.
He beamed at me and went back to his sandwich. I don't mean to seem rude, but I never thought someone related to Sirius could be so nice.
Okay, that sounded mean.
*~*~*SIRIUS POV*~*~*
"I can't believe the pure-blood, Death Eater, little boy took my girl." I grumbled, looking at James.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Your girl? Sirius, she despises you."
"I know.." I huffed.
"Go do what Moony said when their picnic thing is over."
"But Prongs, I have no chance. He cut the crust off the sandwiches!"
James' eyes widened.
"Really?"
He looked out from behind the tree and his jaw dropped.
"Well, it was a good run, mate. Go find another girl." He sighed, patting me on the back.
I rolled my eyes and peeked at them. She tucked a piece of her brown hair behind her ear..
Oh Merlin.
"James! What do I do!" I whined.
"Do what Moony said to do!"
"Fine."
*~*~*GRACIE*~*~*
I sat down at the Gryffindor Table with a sigh, picking at my food. And then, of course, just to annoy me, Sirius Black decided to waltz up to me.
"Hey.. Uh.. Dumbledore?"
"What?" I sighed, looking up at him.
He fidgeted nervously and gulped.
"I was wondering.. If you'd please call me Sirius?"
My jaw dropped.
"W-What?"
"If you'd call me Sirius."
Jaw still dropped, I nodded slowly.
"O-Okay.. If you call me Gracie."
Sirius nodded and smiled as he walked back to his friends. Lily came and sat down next to me a few minutes later.
"What was that about?"
"He asked me to call him Sirius."
Lily raised an eyebrow.
"What did you say?"
"I said that I would if he called be Gracie instead of 'Dumbledore'."
She nodded.
"That seems fair."
I looked at Sirius in surprise as he walked up to us.
"Uh.. Du-Gracie, would you like to sit with us?" He asked.
I turned to Lily. She shrugged and gave me a look that said 'Go for it'
I have an amazing friend.
I turned back to Sirius.
"Sure.. Sirius."
His eyes lit up and he dragged me to where his friends were sitting, staring at us incredulously.
"It worked?"
I looked at them suspiciously.
"What worked?"
"Remus gave Sirius advice on how to-"
"How to eat properly!"Sirius cut in, laughing nervously.
I raised an eyebrow and sat down next to Remus.
"So what do you guys usually do?" I questioned.
Sirius shrugged.
"Nothing really. Talk and joke around, I guess."
I nodded as the bell rang. I smiled at Sirius and the others, standing up and walking with Lily to History of Magic.
"Miss Dumbledore, you're late."
I sighed and sat down next to Sirius.
"Sorry, Professor Binns."
He went back to teaching, not really caring. I grinned, happy that this was the class I was late to. Professor Binns never paid attention to anything, really.
"What're you doing after classes are over?" Sirius whispered in my ear.
I shrugged.
"Go to sleep- I'm so tired."
Sirius rolled his eyes.
"Go to sleep now. Binns won't care." Sirius said, glancing at the Professor.
I shrugged again and put my head on my desk. James was in front of me, snoring softly. I chuckled and turned to Sirius, but he was already asleep. I stifled a yawn and sat up straight, knowing someone would have to wake them up when class was over. I chuckled to myself and waited for class to be over.
*~*~*
"Hi, Gracie." Sirius said, sitting down next to me on the Common Room couch.
"Hi, Sirius."
He sighed happily.
"I like when you say my name."
I raised an eyebrow.
"That sounded really weird, Sirius."
He rolled his eyes and grinned at me.
"Hey, Gracie?"
"Yeah?"
"What did you smell in your potion a few days ago? In Potions?"
I stiffened.
"I didn't recognize it." I lied.
"Oh."
"What did you smell?"
He shrugged.
"The Forest, strawberries, and coconut."
I stiffened. I used strawberry shampoo and coconut body wash.
"Oh," I said softly, looking at the fire.
"I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight, Gracie."
"Night, Sirius." I said with a yawn, going up the steps to the girl's Dorm.
He waved at me with a small smile.
I waved back and trudged upstairs, out of sight.
Although I think he watched the spot I was in for ten minutes before he left.
Just a guess.
