Hi guys! I just opened two Christmas presents (early). I was really happy with what I got- I got a 530+ page book called Harry Potter Page to Screen. It's about the 'complete filmmaking journey'. It feels like a weight when you pick it up.
Another thing that I got was a keyboard for the iPad, which is what I'm currently using to type this right now. So yay!
Onto the chapter now!
*~*~*

I forced my eyes open, feeling groggy and like I wanted to go back to sleep. I looked around and found Sirius, laying next to me still asleep. I glanced out the window and saw that it was still dark out, so I assumed it was very early in the morning.

I sighed, but apparently Sirius is a very light sleeper, so he woke up afterwards.

"Morning, Gracie."

"Good morning, Sirius," I said, forcing myself to be cheerful and happy even though I felt like I wanted to murder someone I was so tired.

"How did you sleep?" He asked me.

"I would have slept a lot better if this hospital bed wasn't so uncomfortable."

I glared at the bed and smacked it. Why? I have no idea. But Sirius started cracking up. Eventually he left to go get me breakfast, and I was alone with my thoughts. Which probably wasn't a good thing. But hey, I'm sure I'll be fine.

Later on Lily came back for some reason. I was still waiting for Sirius, and even after she left he still wasn't here.

Deciding myself that I was fine, I slowly got out of bed and winced at the pain in my legs from not walking for a little. I made my way towards the exit, before deciding to leave a note for Madam Pomfrey that I had left to go get breakfast. I walked with a bit of a limp down the hallways, getting strange stares from people. I ignored them and finally made it to the Great Hall, which was when someone finally decided to tell me that breakfast was over and classes had already started.

I sighed and, ignoring the boy, went into the Great Hall anyway. There was still food left, and a note on the Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin tables.

I had forgotten I was in all of those houses. I was so used to staying with the Gryffindors that I had forgotten about the others. As I began to walk to the Ravenclaw table, because so far they've had the best food, I decided to start spending time with people from all the houses instead of just one like I've been doing.

'Gracie: The food's for you. The House Elves will pick it up by 12:00 PM.'

I grumbled and sat down, grabbing a plate and piling eggs, bacon, pancakes, muffins, and more up on my plate. I still hadn't found Sirius though, which made me eat faster so I could maybe catch him in one of the classes we shared. He would probably freak out if I walked in class,  but, whatever.

I finished my food and stood up, deciding to leave my plate seeing as the House Elves enjoyed cleaning and serving others. I left the Great Hall and tried to remember the next class I shared with Sirius, which was Transfiguration. I shared almost every class with him, and after the class he was in now there would be Transfiguration, which started at about 11:45. It was already 11:30 so I didn't have long to wait.

I found the Transfiguration classroom early and went inside, not caring that it now started ten minutes from now.

"Ms. Dumbledore, shouldn't you be in the Hospital Wing? Or at least not in classes?"

I shrugged.

"Probably."

McGonagall sighed and shook her head, going back to writing what we were doing today on the board. I waited in my usual seat until the classroom starting piling up with students, Sirius one of them.

He didn't notice me until he had already sat down and started talking to James.

"My new girlfriend has such a great personality; I think she's the one."

Of course, only after he said that did he notice me.

"Oh! Gracie!" He chuckled nervously.

He scratched the back of his neck and I have him the death glare. I raised my hand.

"Yes, Ms. Dumbledore?"

"Can I go outside to talk to Sirius? Privately?"

The entire class ooooh'ed as Sirius stood up looking thoroughly confused. Not waiting for McGonagall's answer, I grabbed Sirius' wrist and yanked him behind me out of the classroom. We stood outside, a few meters away from the door.

"You said you were going to get breakfast," I hissed.

James then decided to come out and mouthed 'I'm sorry' to Sirus. Sirius' eyes widened and he tried to stop James but was unsuccessful.

"He used it as an excuse to leave so he could talk to girls. He found one he liked and asked her out. He already thinks she's the one,"

My heart crashed to the bottom of my stomach. Not literally, though I'm sure it would hurt a lot less than what James just told me. I turned to Sirius, feeling and probably looking hurt.

"You could've just said that you wanted to go. I would've understood," I said, trying not to cry.

I felt like I was being over-dramatic, but I didn't care. He could've told me, and I wouldn't have cared. Probably.2

Sirius glared at James and then look at me.

"I'm sorry, Gracie-"

I didn't even let him finish. James gave me a sympathetic look as I just shook my head at Sirius. Although no one knew, I had spent a few nights with James before I ran away, telling him how I felt and the things that happen when I'm around Sirius. He eventually told me that I had a crush. After he said it, I knew he was right.

But obviously, Sirius doesn't care all that much. He didn't know, though. About the fact that I had a crush on him.

I sighed and walked off, ignoring Sirius calling after me. I decided to talk to him later, to figure out what happened and not be one of those girls who assume things. I just need to cool down and I'll be fine.

I make my way back to the Hospital Wing, where Madam Pomfrey is waiting, shaking my note in the air furiously and glaring at me.

"Bed!" She barked.

I sighed and didn't argue, laying down in the bed that had somewhat become my own from all the times I was in here. She seemed surprise that I didn't argue. Normally I would've laughed but right now, all I wanted to do was sleep and get rid of my troubles.

And I did exactly that.
