This chapter is gonna be pretty short, because I'm tired and well, I'm out of ideas.

Also, if you would like to, check out my story The Prankster. It's also a Harry Potter fanfiction.

ONTO THE CHAPTER!

*~*~*

I banged my head against the table repeatedly, groaning.

"Calm down, Gracie. It's just one practice!"

I pulled my head up and glared at the redhead.

"The practice that could determine whether I stay on the team or not!"

She rolled her eyes at me.

"Your being over dramatic. You're already on the team."

"I know that!" I said hastily, "But what if I'm not good enough? That's the reason I'm worried-"

James Potter sat down in front of me, roaring with laughter.

"'What if I'm not good enough?'" He mimicked, rolling his hazel eyes, "Honestly, Gracie. You tried out for all positions and passed all of them with flying colours. You did better than my best players who have been playing for five years."

Lily, who, five minutes ago had her mouth open to tell off Potter, stared at him in shock. I turned to Lily expectantly.

"Thank you, James." She muttered, her cheeks turning a faint pink.

I grinned at her and grabbed her hand, walking off after also saying thanks to James.

"Okay, I needed that." I beamed.

She rolled her eyes at me.

"You listen to him, but not me?"

"He's the captain of the Quidditch team, Lily. Of course I'm gonna listen to him." I smirked, leaving her back there and walking off to the Dorm.

I plopped down on my bed with a sigh.

"I don't wanna go to classes.." I muttered.

After a few minutes of being lazy, Lily came in and yanked me up.

"Ow!" I yelped, glaring at her.

She smiled innocently. That little deceiving redhead girl.

"Classes. Let's. Go." She said sternly.

I sighed again and stood up, rubbing my shoulder and glaring at her.

"Okay."

She grabbed my hand and we ran as fast as we could to Potions. I, being who I was, was of course faster, and was there ten minutes before she was.

"Ms. Evans, you're late." Slughorn said.

She took deep, steadying breaths, her hand on her hip. She glanced at me in surprise, before turning to Slughorn.

"Yes, Sir, I know. I had to get Gracie out of bed."

I looked guility at Slughorn, and he sighed.
"Very well. I'll let it slide this time. Take your seat."

Lily rushed to her seat, head down. After she sat, class resumed.

"Today we will be making the Draught of Living Death. Anyone who manages to make this potion first, will get a bottle of Felix Felicis."

I turned to Sev and grinned, getting up and walking over to him.

"Add the Infusion of Wormwood," I started, beaming at him.

He caught on quickly and followed.

"Add the powdered root os asphodel," He continued,

"Stir two times clockwise,"

We were both muttering the instructions to each other, while completing our potions.

"Add the sloth brain,"

"Crush the Sopophorous bean with the silver dagger and add the juice," I smiled, focusing on my potion.

"Stir seven times anti-clockwise and once clock-wise." He finished.

We raised our hands at the exact same time, as Slughorn walked over to us with a surprised look.

"Ms. Dumbledore, may I ask why you are sitting next to Mr. Snape?"

I shrugged.

"We like to help each other."

He raised an eyebrow and turned to our potions.

"This is remarkably done! Five points to Gryffindor!" he said, and then paused. "And Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff!"

I heard a few cheers and grinned to myself.

He handed us both a bottle of Felix Felicis, and later on, the class was over.

"Also, there will be a Slug Club christmas party soon!"

I groaned.

"I'm not going." I told Sev as we exited Potions.

He sighed.

"I might not go either-"

He was cut off as I had ran ahead upon seeing Regulus and Lucius.

"Helloooo!"

"Hello, Gracie." Reg smirks, looking amused.

"Hi." Lucius smiled.

"Hello, guys." Sev said, coming up next to me and glaring at me.

"What?"

"You cut me off!"

Turning away from Reg and Lucy, I faced Sev.

"I was running. You could've caught up, but noooo."

He rolled his eyes. I gasped dramatically, falling to the floor and crying.

"Grace, get up." He sighed, rolling his eyes again.

I hopped up with a grin.

"Okay."

Sev sighed and we both turned to the other two, who were staring at us in amusement.

"What was that?" Reg chokes, trying not to laugh.

"Oh, don't worry, we do this everyday."

Lucius burst out laughing, causing Reg to laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" I demanded.

"How are you guys still friends?" Lucy gasps through laughter.

After we watched them for a bit, they stood up quickly and grinned at us.

"Are you done?"

"Yeah."

"We're still friends because...."

I turned to Sev for help.

"I don't know." He shrugged.

I gasped.

"YOU DON'T KNOW?" I screamed, dropping to my knees, "WHAT IS LIFE?"

"Gracie.." Sev warned.

"I'm up." I grumbled, standing up and dusting myself off.

*~*~*

I laid in bed, after another fight with Black.

"DUMBLEDORE, WHY IS THERE A HAIR PRODUCT IN THE BATHROOM?" He screamed.

"THAT'S YOURS!"

"OH!"

"GO TAKE A SHOWER!"
"OKAY!"

I sighed and rolled over.

Another day, another fight with Black.

What has my life come to?
