Alison's POV
After a few hours Remy and I finally arrived at the hospital Emily was staying in. I parked the car and hurried inside with Remy trying to keep up. There was so much chaos around that my head was spinning.
I practically ran to the lady at the front desk and asked, "What room is Emily Fields staying in?"
She put a finger up at me telling me to wait a minute. I think she was on the phone but I really didn't care so I said once again, "Where is Emily Fields staying? Ma'am I really don't have time for this, I swear I will cause a scene!" I yelled making some people look my way.
Rolling her eyes she said, "432, down the hall to the left."
Without thanking her I grabbed Remy's hand and speeded down the hall towards the room I was directed. When I arrived to the room, I couldn't see anything because of all the doctors in the way. A man's voice said, "Excuse me, are you Alison Dilaurentis?"
I turned around to face an older man about in his 40s with graying hair. "Yes", I responded. "Are you Dr. Chambers?"
"Well that's what my name tag says", he told me, I guess trying to be funny. He cleared his throat when I didn't laugh and said, "Um, well it seems as though your friend here is in a coma."
"How long has she been in it?" I asked. "For about 3 hours now. But due to her condition there is a chance that she probably won't wake up?" He said as my eyes began to water.
Speaking through my tears I asked, "What do you mean she won't wake up?"
"This might sound like something out of a TV show but there is a 50% chance she will not wake up. When she crashed, she lost a lot of blood, broke a few ribs, and needs to get stitches on multiple wounds." He gave me a sympathetic look.
"I see. When will I get to see her? I need to see her", I begged. "You will get to see her. But as of now she is being fully examined on so you won't be able to at the moment."
"Did you call anyone else?" I asked him. He shook his head, "When we brought her in, she kept saying your name so we found your number and called. If you want to call a few people that would be helpful." That was all he said before walking back into the room.
"Are you gonna call them? I don't think they'll take seeing you very well", Remy said.
I sat down, pulled out my phone and said, "What kind of person would I be if I didn't call. Everyone would hate me because I was the only one who knew Emily was in this accident. I would hate myself. I'm gonna call. For Emily."
After I called all the people Emily knew, who's numbers I had, I blew out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "So how did it go?" Remy asked as I sat back down.
"Well after everyone basically bombarded me with questions before I told them what happened and they all said they were on their way", I told her.
About 15 minutes later, Mrs. Fields walked in. After she talked to the doctor she turned around and stared at me in disbelief. "Alison", she said.
I half smiled and responded, "Yea." She quickly walked over and wrapped her arms around me. "H-how..where'very been these last few years. I haven't seen or heard from you."
"Well, I've been staying in Ravens wood. You know after everything thing with 'A' being put in jail I just needed time to clear my head. And 3 years sounded good", I said while laughing a little. She only smiled and hugged me again. But soon soft sobs took over.
I knew it's hard for her no matter how much she thinks she's distracting herself from it by asking me questions. Emily's her only child. "She's gonna be fine. She'll wake up soon, I just know it", she said. I didn't know if she was trying to convince me or herself.
After Mrs. Fields collected herself, she turned to Remy and said, "I'm so sorry. Did you come with Alison?"
"It's ok take your time, I know this must be hard for you", Remy responded. I decided to introduce the two, "Remy, this is Mrs. Fields, Mrs. Fields this is Remy a friend of mine."
"Oh please, call me Pam. Alison doesn't but hopefully you will", she said nudging me. "Did you call the girls?" Pam asked.
"Excuse me, family of Emily Fields?" A different doctor came and asked. "Yes", Pam and I both said in unison. "She's not awake but you can come and see her. One at a time please."
Pam went in first but I couldn't argue, she was Emily's mother. I sat down and rested my head in my hands. I didn't know how she would take seeing me. Would she be shocked? Or would she be proud and feel loved that I was willing to come out from "hiding".
Someone busted through the double doors and I looked up surprised because I didn't call her. "Who's that?" Remy asked. "Sara Harvey", I simply said.
Sara looked over to me and her eyes almost popped out of her head. "Alison? Alison Dilaurentis?" She asked.
"In the flesh", I said. I was still salty because I knew that she dated Emily but I would keep my comments to myself. "Wow, um how've you been? To be honest I thought you were dead, sorry to say it."
I frowned, "why does everyone just assume the worst?"
"Well you did just up and leave without a word to anyone. Or Emily", she said, mumbling the last part. I didn't want to get into an argument with someone I barely knew so I just ignored her.
"Anyways, what happened? Pam called me and just told me to come to the hospital and hung up. is Emily ok?" She rushed out the last part.
I shook my head and said, "She got into an accident. A car accident. She's in a coma and there is a 50% chance that she'll wake up."
"That's..that's horrible", she said sitting down. I nodded my head. We sat there for a couple of silent minutes before she reached her hand over and said to Remy, "Hi I'm Sara." Remy took her hand and said, "Remy."
"Nice to meet you. You know Emily?" She asked. "Uh, no, not really but I've heard a lot about her through Alison." Remy replied.
Sara gave me a side eye but quickly looked back at Remy. Trying to avoid an awkward moment, I told her, "Pam's in the room with Em now. We can only see her one at a time."
"So you're gonna go next?" She asked as if it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world. I said, "That was the plan."
Seconds later, Pam came and said something to the doctor while she wiped a tear and he rushed in. I immediately thought the worst but she said, "Emily's awake."
"Thank god", I whispered. A doctor walked over to me and said, "Alison Dilaurentis." "Yes?" I asked. "Come with me", he said.
Quickly, I got up and rushed behind him and into Emily's room. There she was. Laying on a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown, bruised with a bunch of wires attached to her but she still looked breath taking.
"I'all leave you alone now", the doctor said as I thanked him. I walked over and she looked up at me through hooded eyes. "Ali. I-i can't believe y-you came," She struggled to get out. "Of course I came. Why wouldn't I?"
She smiled lazily and said, "You didn't want a-anyone to know", she replied. I saw down next to her bed and took her hand, "I don't care about that anymore.I'm just glad you're ok."
"Me too", she said while I smiled."A-are you going back?"
I gave her a confused look but then finally registered what she was talking about. "No, no I'm not going back. I kind of got kicked out, Remy and I but I was planning on coming back anyways."
She tilted her head to the side and said, "Remy. Isn't that a type of liquor?" Wow I never even thought about that, I thought to myself. "Um, yea it is I guess. But Remy she's a friend of mine I met her in Ravenswood. You would like her", I reassured. "Ok. I'm tired."
"Is that my cue to leave? I asked jokingly. She laughed and said, "I believe so. But just promise me something."
"Anything", I said. She locked our fingers together and said, "Promise me you'll stay. When I get out of this place, I need you here in Rosewood with me."
"Of course. I'll see you later Em. Get some rest", I said giving her a lingering kiss on her forehead. Walking out I instantly felt bad because I forgot Sara wanted to see her too and I didn't even tell Emily that she was here. When I walked back to the waiting area I seen three faces that I didn't hope to see.
"Hello Alison".
