🔻Journalists around the world commemorate World Press Freedom Day, which is an occasion for Palestinian journalists who are under the guillotine of being targeted by the occupation with killing, wounding and arrest.
🔻Since October 7, 2023, international human rights organizations have recorded horrifying indicators of the type of violations committed against press freedom. The killing of 141 Palestinian journalists at the hands of the occupation was recorded, in addition to the injury and arrest of dozens of them.
On this occasion, the Center would like to emphasize the following:
First, I salute and appreciate all Palestinian journalists for their steadfastness and insistence, despite being targeted, to report details of the massacres to which the Palestinian people are subjected.
Secondly, we cannot ignore the fact that the crimes of the occupation systematically violate international laws and humanitarian conventions that guaranteed protection for them in areas and periods of conflict.
Thirdly, the crimes that are taking place require... 🔻The Israeli occupation army detained Mrs. Enas Abu Al-Moaza from the Gaza Strip for several hours hostage to pressure her brother to surrender himself.
🔻 “Abu Al-Moazza,” the wife of a Palestinian journalist, was detained by the occupation forces for about 12 hours as she passed a checkpoint she was setting up in the “Netzarim” area in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday during their attempt to flee from Gaza City towards the south, before they released her and ordered her to return to the northern Gaza Strip and separate her from her family.
