Strongholds are various and different whether physical, mental, or spiritual. They are not difficult challenges that we can conquer alone. It is easy for us to lose focus in the long span plan because it is a process. You are not alone in your suffering, the Lord may often communicate with us, but not always in the way we expect.
Quite often we need to remember all the problems we have encountered in life. We need to go through this to know and trust that He is able to brings us through yet again, like He has done in the past.
Your good will come when you follow through His instructions, after you have asked Him. Let God show you HIs power, let Him keep you from falling. Be willing to follow His word. Keep your mind on the Lord.
