You and Sadie were sitting on the couch in your apartment, watching a movie. Sadie had her arm around your shoulders as you leaned into her.
It was peaceful until your two best friends, Nick and Charlotte, walked into the apartment. They each had big smiles on their faces as they walked over to you and Sadie. You furrowed your eyebrows at them as Sadie paused the tv.
"We just thought of the best idea ever." Nick smirked.
"What is it?" You asked with a smile.
"We're gonna make a movie about your lives." Charlotte said. "We took it up with your managers and they think it will be great publicity for your careers."
"Cool! I've always wanted a movie about my life!" Sadie exclaimed.
You laughed at Sadie's excitement and looked back at Charlotte and Nick. "Who's directing it?"
"Me." Nick said.
"We're gonna recreate the biggest moments in your career. Like when you first met, your first kiss." Charlotte listed. "But not your on set kiss, we're doing your kiss at the karaoke party where you sang a love song together."
Sadie gasped. "Can Scarlett Johansson play me?"
"No. You're playing yourselves." Nick told you.
"When do we start?" You asked him.
"Tomorrow." Nick said. "We rented a set to film where you two first met on the set of Stranger Things."
"I can't wait." Sadie looked at you with a smile.
...
It was the next day and you, Sadie, Nick, Charlotte, and a couple other people were on the movie set to film where you first met.
The first time you and Sadie met was at a chemistry read when she was auditioning for Max. They wanted to see and if you and Sadie had the potential to be love interests.
You and Sadie were standing next to each other with false scripts in your hands that were gonna be used as props. The scene you and Sadie did during the chemistry read was the scene on the roof of the bus where Max has to open up about her home life.
"Alright, you guys ready?" Nick asked.
"Yup." You told him as Sadie gave him a thumbs up.
"And... action!"
You and Sadie both opened up the fake scripts and pretended to read off of them.
"It's kinda awesome." Sadie smiled.
"Huh?" You looked at her.
"The fog, I mean. Looks like the ocean." Sadie said.
"You miss it?" You asked.
"What?"
"The ocean. The waves? California?" You listed before slightly laughing. "Hawkins seems pretty lame, I bet."
"No, no, no, it's not that." Sadie shook her head. "It's just... My dad's still there. So..."
"Why?"
"It's this legal term called 'divorce'." Sadie slightly smiled. "See, when two married people don't love each other anymore-"
"Yeah." You nodded.
"My mom and my stepdad, they wanted a fresh start away from him. As if... as if he was the problem, which is total bull." Sadie rolled her eyes. "And things... are just worse now. My stepbrother's always been a dick, but now he's just angry... all the time and... Well, he can't take it out on my mom, so..."
"So he takes it out on you?" You finished.
Sadie just looked at you before slightly shaking her head. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this. It's just... I know that I can be a jerk like him sometimes, and I do not want to be like him. Ever. I guess I'm angry, too, and... I'm sorry." Sadie pretended to wipe away tears. "Jesus! What's wrong with me?"
"Hey." You stepped closer to her. "You're nothing like your brother, okay? You're cool and different. And you're super smart. And you're, like, totally tubular."
Sadie laughed. "Nobody actually says that, you know."
You smiled. "Well, I do now."
Sadie nodded. "And it makes you seem really cool."
You stared at her for a second. "I like talking with you, Mad Max."
Sadie smiled. "I like talking with you, stalker."
"Cut!" Nick shouted and you and Sadie looked at him as he and Charlotte walked over to you both. "That was great. I can feel the chemistry between you two."
Sadie smiled. "Well, it's hard to fake chemistry when you have it already."
"You think we have chemistry?" You looked up at Sadie and smiled.
"Why else do you think I got the role?" Sadie smiled.
"Cause you're a great actress." You put your hands on her shoulders and kissed her.
"Ugh." Charlotte cringed before walking away.

The next day, you were talking with Nick and Charlotte when Sadie walked up to you. She had the script in her hand and her eyebrows were furrowed.
"What's wrong, baby?" You asked her.
"I was reading the script for the next scene and then I got to the part where you said that you didn't think I would be a good love interest." Sadie told you.
"What?" You took the script out her hand and looked at it.
"It says you talked to the Duffers about having our characters just be friends because you didn't want me to be your love interest." Sadie softly said. "Did that actually happen."
"Uh... no..." You lied and looked at Charlotte since she wrote the script. "I think Charlotte just wanted to add in some drama."
Charlotte furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head. "No, everything in that scene really happened."
"Why didn't you want me to be your love interest?" Sadie asked you.
"Uh... because- because- It wasn't anything you did. I just didn't think that my character having doubts about her sexuality was a good addition to the show. Also when we did our first scene together, your character was really not that interesting..." You trailed off.
"Not that interesting?!" Sadie exclaimed. "I can't believe this."
"Oh, come on." You rolled your eyes. "It was years ago. I was also trying to figure out my sexuality at the time so of course I had doubts about you being my love interest."
"You always told how much you love my character and you said that you wouldn't want anybody else to be your love interest." Sadie reminded you. "But, now I know that was all just a lie." Sadie picked her script back up and walked away.
...
It was a few hours later and you and Sadie were about to film another scene. She was still upset with you and refused to talk to you.
"Sadie, you're being ridiculous. This all happened a long time ago." You told her. "You've gotta get over it."
"Yeah, I know you're upset but we've got a big scene to shoot." Charlotte said to her. "So just pretend to be happy with y/n."
You hit her shoulder. "You're not helping."
Sadie sighed. "Fine. Let's do the stupid scene."
You and Sadie did the scene but it didn't come out good. She put no emotion in it and she had a blank look on her face the whole time.
"Cut!" Nick shouted and you and Sadie stopped the scene to look at him. "Sadie, that was... terrible. What part of 'pretend to be happy with y/n' did you not understand?"
"Are you really gonna be mad at me in every scene we shoot?" You asked Sadie.
Sadie groaned. "No. I'll let it go."
"Good! The next scene we're shooting is when y/n won an MTV award." Nick told you both.
Sadie rolled her eyes. "She won it for a scene that we all took part in! It's not like she did it all by herself."
"That's the spirit!" Charlotte patted Sadie on the back.
...
You guys were about to start shooting the scene. You were standing on the stage with the award prop and Sadie was standing next you.
"Action!" Nick called out.
"Uh..." You started to say your thank you speech. "I also wanna thank Sadie for always being there for me and being a great scene partner-"
"Was this before or after you said you didn't want me being your love interest?" Sadie interrupted. "I can't remember."
You let out a small sigh as Nick groaned from behind his camera.
"Stick to the script." Nick told her.
"I- I wanna thank Sadie for always being there for me and being a great scene partner. I really don't know what I would do without her." You continued.
"Nothing." Sadie interrupted.
"Um, you mean nothing because we're never gonna have to be without each other?" You questioned.
"No." Sadie groaned. "I mean nothing because you'd probably be happier with another love interest. Maybe you can break their heart too." Sadie gave you a fake smile.
"Cut!" Nick yelled.
"Sadie, come on. You said you were gonna let it go." You sighed.
"Yeah, if you don't let this thing go between you and y/n, we're never gonna finish this film." Charlotte told him.
"Sorry. I wish it didn't bother me so much. But I can't get over that she kept such a big secret from me." Sadie complained.
"What's the big deal?!" Nick asked. "You kept a bigger secret from her."
Nick widened his eyes as Sadie gave him a warning look. You and Charlotte furrowed your eyebrows and shared a look.
"You did?" Charlotte asked.
"What secret did you keep from me?" You walked over to Sadie.
"Uh... Nothing!" Nick exclaimed.
"Spill it, Sadie." Charlotte folded her arms.
"Okay..." Sadie gave in and looked at you. "After you got that huge role and had to go to Romania... I was debating on breaking up with you."
"What?" You asked in disbelief. "Why?"
"Because you were going to another country for 5 months and I was gonna be stuck in New York! I wasn't sure if we would last." Sadie told you.
"I can't believe you, Sadie. You were mad at me, and you were keeping this secret the whole time." You exclaimed.
"It's no big deal." Sadie responded.
"No big deal?! I had a little doubt and you were thinking about ending our relationship!" You yelled at her.
"But, I didn't y/n! I believed that we could stay together through those 5 months and we did!" Sadie yelled back.
You groaned and walked away from her.

The next morning, you, Charlotte, and Sadie were all sitting together when Nick came over with another script.
"Good morning, actors." Nick smiled and handed out the scripts to you and Sadie. "Nothing like a good night's sleep to help you forget all the reasons why you're mad at someone."
"I haven't forgotten." You said. "I'm still mad at her for thinking about breaking up with me."
"And I'm still mad at her for not wanting to be love interests." Sadie added.
"You guys better snap out of this." Charlotte told you both. "It's awful watching you guys act this way. It's unprofessional."
"I can be professional." You crossed your arms and looked at Sadie. "I don't know about her."
Sadie scoffed. "I can be more professional than you can. So there." Sadie stuck her tongue out at you.
"Very mature, Sadie. You just proved I'm more professional than you." You smirked.
"But-"
"And I got that last word!" You stood up from your seat and covered your ears as you started to walk away. "La la la la la la..."
"You can't say 'la la la' forever! But I can!" Sadie stood up and ran after you. "La la la la la la..."
"I don't think they're gonna be professional." Nick looked at Charlotte. "I'm really worried about this movie."
"I'm worried about y/n and Sadie." Charlotte said. "They've never been this mad at each other before. What if they break up?"
"Then our movie's gonna have a really sad ending." Nick nodded.
"We need to come up with a way to remind them why they're dating in the first place." Charlotte said.
"We could shoot the scene where they sing that song together." Nick suggested.
Charlotte smiled. "Yeah! There's no way they can sing that duet and still be mad at each other."
...
"Okay you guys ready?" Charlotte asked as she walked up to you and Sadie.
You and Sadie just looked at her.
"Great. Don't forget, this is one of the happiest moments in the movie. This should be really easy for you guys to get through." Charlotte reminded you both.
"I'm not worried about it." You told her.
"I'm more not worried about it." Sadie one upped you and you rolled your eyes at her.
"Okay, that's almost what we're looking for. Let's shoot this, Nick." Charlotte said as she walked over to him.
"Action!" Nick yelled.
"I'm nervous to sing." You told Sadie.
"Don't worry, y/n/n. I'll be right there with you." Sadie told you. "If you get nervous, just... just look at me."
Sadie walked onto the stage and stood by a microphone with you following her. Charlotte pressed a button on her phone and Until I Found You started playing.

Once the song ended, you and Sadie both leaned in, connecting your lips in a soft and passionate kiss.
You wrapped your arms around Sadies neck as she wrapped her arms around your waist. She slightly pulled you closer to her as you tilted your head to deepen the kiss.
"Cut!" Nick shouted.
You and Sadie ignored him and continued kissing. Nick looked at Charlotte with furrowed eyebrows and Charlotte just smiled.
"I said cut!" Nick yelled but you and Sadie ignored him still. "Okay, you can stop kissing now."
"Well, I guess our plan worked." Charlotte smirked while you and Sadie continued kissing. "They don't seem mad at each other anymore."
Sadie pulled away from you when air became a problem. You chased after her lips for a split second before looking at her.
"Y/n, i'm really sorry I thought about breaking up." Sadie apologized. "I was just worried that we would drift apart."
"Sadie, I'll always be here for you. I'm sorry I ever doubted being love interests. I'm glad we got casted together." You told her.
Sadie smiled. "So we're good?"
"Yeah." You nodded. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
You and Sadie both leaned in for another kiss.
