Patrick walked into the jewelry store and walked up to the clerk.
Clerk: hello. How may I help you?
Patrick: can you take me to the engagement rings?
Clerk: of course. Right this way.
ITALY
Thor: everyone remember the plan?
Heather: yeah yeah, evacuate the civilians while you fight Cronus.
Thor: yeah, what Heather said. Dylan, you're in charge.
Dylan: got it. Luke, go warn everyone in the village.
Luke nodded and zoomed off, the others close behind.
Caitlin: do you want me to get the plants to warn them as well?
Dylan: do it.
Caitlin send a mental warning to every single plant nearby and they warned the humans.
Dylan: alright, lets go.
MOUNT ETNA
Thor: give it up Cronus.
Cronus: never!
Cronus drew his weapon and charged Thor sending him back. Thor caught him self and charged back. He fired a bolt at him but Cronus slowed time giving him enough time to avoid it.
Thor: whats's your endgame Cronus?
Cronus: I'm not exactly the sharing type traitor.
Thor: wait. We're in Mount Etna. The place where the gods trapped... your insane.
Cronus: I'm desperate. There's a difference.
Thor: I wont let you do this.
Cronus: you can't do that. There is no way to slow it down
Thor: yes there is.
He threw the hammer knocking Cronus out of the mountain and into the nearby ocean. Thor put his hammer in the air and started to absorb all the energy Cronus used. He went on his comms.
Thor: Baldur!
Baldur: what's wrong brother?
Thor: Cronus is gone, he's in the ocean.
Baldur: so we won?!
Thor: no. I need to absorb as much energy as possible otherwise he'll win.
Dylan: can your body handle that?
Thor hesitated.
Thor: no.
Dylan: then we'll find another way! You don't need to do it.
Baldur: he's right Thor.
Thor: there is no time. Get as far away from here as possible!
Dylan: no! You're the only father I ever had these past 4 years. Don't!
Thor: I'm sorry Dylan.
Thors body slowly started to crack, a blue glow peeping through. He smiled.
Thor: I did it Magni. I became the hero you thought I was.
Then his body exploded in a flash of blue lightning. Nothing left except the hammer the was letting off a blue pulse.
WATCHTOWER
APRIL 12TH
Patrick stared at the boy who was sitting by the hologram memorial of Thor. Patrick sigh sadly and approached him.
Patrick: Dylan, right?
Dylan: (he turned around) yes. And you're the Lightning Rod.
Patrick: I am. I'm sorry.
Dylan: I should've stopped him. I should've stopped him.
Patrick: don't blame yourself.
Dylan: there is no hope for criminals. Especially Cronus.
Patrick: don't say that. Did you know Thor used to worked with Cronus?
Dylan: what? Really?
Patrick: yeah. When I first met him he was a criminal. One of the worst to ever exist. But I always new there was a tiny bit of goodness underneath the pain and the evil. And now look. (He glanced at the memorial) he died a hero.
Dylan: yeah. He did.
Patrick: I know we don't know each other very well, but if you need to talk. Let me know. Oh and I have a gift.
Patrick pulled out Thor's hammer. It was in perfect condition except for a crack on the top. Dylan stared at it in shock.
Patrick: he would want you to have this. I made it so it harnesses your hydro powers.
Dylan took the hammer.
Dylan: thank you.
Patrick: if you need to talk, I'm here.
Patrick got up and walked away, a single tear dropping from his eye.
VALHALLA.
Thor woke up in a sunny meadow with Magni standing over him.
Magni: father.
Thor: where are we?
Modi walked up
Modi: welcome to Valhalla.
Thrud: it's good to see you father.
Thor got up and stared his three children, a tear rolling down his cheek.
Thor: I'm so sorry. What I did-
Thrud: was in the past. We are grateful you came back to the light.
Modi: and we have the son of Zeus to thank for that. Come. The feast will start soon.
The two walked through the gates. Thor followed with Magni putting a hand on his shoulder.
Magni: you did good dad.
The two walked towards the gate.
Magni: you did so good.
