It was brand new day and lani frist day of being back to school after being suspended for the fight she had gotten into, still her sibling were not talking with her and she was still friendless. Most of the time when she was breaking down in fits of crying and sadness she didn't care anymore, she had woke up this morning feeling nothing as she raised up from bed and got ready for the day. She was loving her new room and enjoying the new person she was becoming she was done being the push over lani and the disappointment could to her family, she will become someone new day She was not going to let anyone else bring her down anyone she was going to finally breakaway and become her new person outside of the sully name.
Lani " eywa give me strength"
Neytiri " kids breakfast" lani soon made her away downstairs to join the rest of her family with her new look on her and new look on life, she soon walked into the kitchen.
Neytiri " Neteyam go wake up your sister"
Neteyam " sure mom"
Lani " I'm here" everyone soon looked back to see lani standing there they all looked shocked at her, she soon sat down and ate her breakfast.
Lani " oww tuk"
Tuk " sorry I want to see if that was really you"
Lani " well now you know it me please don't do that again"
Tuk " oh okay"
Kiri " I lobe the new look"
Lani " thank you I'm trying something new"
Neteyam " oh cool what this new look called"
Lani " out with the old and in with the new" everyone had looked at lani as she said that she soon went back to eating breakfast alai could feel Jake looking at her she knew what was coming next.
Jake " lani you will be going back too school today"
Lani " yes father I know and I will do my best not to bring shame towards you or the family anymore and if I do you can send me away, and I will no longer be anyone problem ... oh many there can be a party lani the shameful child gone forever" everyone had gotten quite after lani had said that her parents had looked at each other and soon at lani she was not their baby girl she, was not the same old lani anymore.
Lani " thanks for breakfast mom I'm leaving early I have some stuff to do that school" lani soon grabbed her plate and clean it off soon placing it into the dish drying rack, she soon gabbed her backpack.
Jake " lani wait there is ....."
Lani " yes I know sir I'm not allow to call you father or dad anymore I lost that I will make sure I'm daughter worthy enough of your love and to call you dad again"
Kiri " hey wiat for us we can ...."
Lani " no need to rush enjoy your family time you guys have been a family without for a long time" lani soon left the house saying nothing until she was far away from hoke she broken down into tears, she didn't want to seem weak infant of her family she wanted to prove she had changed. She soon reached school as she had a meeting with the principal and consular as she will be talking about her.
Principal " miss sully it good you are back here with us and I hope you have changed we don't need you causing us anymore issues here young lady"
Lani " no sir I have changed fully"
Principal " we will see about that young lady"
Counselor " lani you have been placed in a different classes for tsyerio safety and the girls safety, we know this might be a bad thing but it will be good for you"
Lani " I'm fine with it I had a feeling this will happen and you don't have to worry I will stay far away from Tsyerio and his social circle"
Prinpcle " umm okay well that all young lady here are you new classes"
Lani " thank you" lani soon left the principal office saying nothing else the school day was hard as there were ugly rumors going on about lani as she had changed, and was no longer the same girl from before her suspension. She had face some issues of bullying but decided to not do anything it seemed like her siblings didn't know she was misos from their classes it was okay. She thought everything was going well until lunch time she had thought maybe she could eat with her siblings.
Lani " hey can I join you guys ... oh hey" lani had found her siblings sitting at their usual table she didn't noticed who was siting with them, it was the three Metkayina teens as the whole table looked at her.
Neteyam " umm sure if that ..."
Ao'nung " no she can't be near us remember Neteyam or have you forgotten"
Kiri " oh come on guys she had changed"
Ao'nung " I said not so pick a side you two your crazy sister or us"
Lani " I will leave I will go eat somewhere else it better that way"
Rotxo " no lani stay we haven't heard from you ..."
Lani " it good I'm leaving bye" lani had eaten her lunch outside and alone she had caught some people laughing at her she she didn't pay them attention, the school day was hard it seem like there was agreement to make lani day back on her even the teachers were treating her horrible as well. Lani was sitting outside crying she knew she was not going to let them break her down but they were winning.
Lani " no lani what did we say this morning we wont let anyone bring us down anyone .... I will not let them break me anymore if everyone wants to act like children and do the silent treatment can they can but I'm not becoming like one of them" those words had lights fire under lani as the rest of the day she was held herself up with confidence, and when someone tired to meet with her she just ignored them.
After school
????? " lani .. lani wait up" lani had stopped walking allow her brother and sister to final caught up with her, she looked at Neteyam who had been calling her name.
Lani " yes"
Neteyam " we were looking for you after school but someone said you already left without us"
Lani :" I thought you two were walking with everyone else"
Kiri " no we want to walk with our sister sully stick together"
Lani " haha that funny look you dont have to keep an eye out for me for dad I will be good daughter to make everyone happy"
Kiri " dad didn't mean it like that he loves you"
Lani " sure come on we don't want to be late getting home now come on" lani soon walked away from her siblings not paying them any attention she soon reach home right away.
Tuk " hey guys mom made cookies for us"
Lani " cool"
Neytiri " hey kids how was school"
Neteyam and kiri " good"
Neytiri " what about you lani"
Lani " it was good I have homework to get done and classes to rearrange call me when dinner ready" lani soon walked upstairs closing the door behind her, she knew day one didn't go well for her but she was hoping the rest of the week will go well for her. She knew she had to the strength to fight back and now she was going to show everyone she was okay, they can hate her all they want past this point she didn't care. Dinner that night lani had stayed out of the family convention and just ate her meal and soon asked to be dismissed from the table, and she was allowed to once again lani was back in her room doing homework and listening to the music. The rest of the sully family was off about lani change as she was no longer the same girl they remember, she was changing and not in the way they wanted her to change.
