The sound of footsteps echoed in the hall. Feathery red hair bounced with each step the person took. One looked at her face; people knew she was not amused at the moment.
From her expression alone, people could see how much she did not want to be here. Sadly, the person that she wanted to see stayed here as its resident.
She stopped in front of the only door that was in this dark corridor. Illuminating the door was just a simple lamp.
Taking in a deep breath, she opened the door while dreading what she was going to see.
"..."
It was worse than what she expected.
Behind the door was a simple bedroom. Some furniture could be seen, a bed, a chair and a table. However, what she was more focused on was who was sitting on the bed at the moment.
In her hand was a cup of yoghurt and she knew it was blueberry-flavour.
"Oh! Fiammetta! You're here!" Greeting her, Mostima smiled. Then she looked at the cup of yoghurt in her hand and chuckled, "This should be yours, but you took so long. I got hungry, so I took a few bites."
The Fallen held out the yoghurt to her overseer with a smirk.
"You can have it if you like. There's more in it."
The now-named Fiammetta could feel her brow twitch after hearing how carefree this woman was now.
The safehouse that Mostima stayed in was utterly destroyed by an unknown force. This forced the council to place her in a more disclosed location that only a couple of high-ranking people knew about. Although that was the case, not many wanted to come here.
Why?
Simple.
Something horrible was located at a place other than Mostima.
That was the other reason why she did not want to come here. Something about this place felt....
Wrong.
However, Mostima did not seem to be bothered by this.
In fact, she seemed to like her new place of stay.
Fiammetta pushed the dairy away from her face and glared at the Caster. This did not offend Mostima. She chuckled and continued to scoop it out with her spoon.
"More for me then."
With that, she continued to eat. This only annoyed her more.
"Mostima," She said through gritted teeth, "You still did not tell me what happened that night."
She was referring to the night when the safehouse was utterly destroyed. Although the Fallen had already told the council that she did not know what happened, Fiammetta knew better.
She knew that Mostima knew.
After finishing the cup of yoghurt, Mostima threw the cup and plastic spoon into the trash can next to her table.
The Fallen looked back at her Overseer.
"Like I said, I have no clue," She smirked, "The explosion just exploded out of nowhere."
"Don't deny it!" She pointed her finger at the liar, "I already talked with that man. He said that he went to that place to see you."
This surprised Mostima.
"You saw him!" Like every time that man was mentioned, Mostima's face brightened up like a goddamn sun, "How is he?! Is he okay?! Does he miss me?!"
With each question, Mostima got closer to Fiammetta, making her step back.
This made the Liberi click her tongue. Without fail, whenever that man's name comes up, she will act like this.
"So, he did have something to do with it," Fiammetta was not going to let Mostima get her way.
"Come on Fia!" Mostima grabbed her collar and begged with a smile, "For your bestie!"
"Tell me what happened that night," She offered, "Then I will talk about-."
Without giving her enough time to finish her sentence, Mostima interrupted her.
"There was another person with him when he got there," Mostima quickly said, her tone eager as stared at her, "She must have been the one that destroy the place." Then she hummed, "Maybe I should thank her when I see her again, this place is wayyyy better."
"The white hair one?"
"Yeah, that's her."
"How did they get inside-."
A memory of Lin Ye flicking his earring appeared in her head. The sudden quietness of her surroundings. The odd sensation of not being in a place.
Like she was in a different world altogether.
"So that's how." She hummed to herself.
Then a sudden shake brought her back to reality.
"Hey! I did my part! What about you?!" Mostima asked, her voice basically oozing with excitement as she said all of that.
It annoyed Fiammetta to no end.
"Okay!" Pushing Mostima away from her face, she yelled at her. Then she pointed at the only chair in the room, "Sit down."
Normally it would have been a pain to make Mostima follow directions, however, when it was related to that man, she could have been the most obedient person on the face of the planet.
Fiammetta folded her arms and glared at her.
"Why do you care so much about the man?" She finally asked the question that was bugging her since the moment Mostima acted so strange, "You have more important matters to care about other than him. One relating to your own life."
Mostima glanced at the staffs that were resting quietly on her bed and looked back at the angry chicken in front of her.
"You don't need to worry about that," Mostima laughed and waved her worries away nonchalantly.
This did not sit well with the Overseer.
"Mostima! Take this seriously-."
"I am," Mostima cut her, "I can't die. I will not die."
Fiammetta's eyes widened upon hearing this.
"... How can you be so sure?" She asked the Fallen.
Mostima smiled at her.
"Easy," Mostima looked above to the ceiling, "I finally found him. No way I am going to die."
"..."
It annoyed Fiammetta at how confident Mostima was now.
Who was this Man?
What was so important about him?
And most important, why does he mean so much to Mostima?
For as long as she knew her, even before she fell when the topic of the man came up, she acted so differently.
"So?" Mostima's voice stopped her from thinking about this. The Caster was excitedly waiting for her explanation, "Did he say anything about me?"

Lin Ye hummed as he walked the streets of Laterano. The white marble buildings were still something he was not used to seeing. It was almost making his eyes hurt. Luckily, he had a lot of distractions to not look at more white things than he should.
He felt a pull on both of his arms.
"Gege! Look at the café! Let's go there!"
"Gege! Look! There's a fashion shop from Yan!"
With that, he was being pulled around by two lovely people by the arms. He laughed and let his around the two of them.
He had to say it was a good idea to have a week of free time. The poor soul used it to the fullest, going to place after place in the city with his sisters. Luckily for him, he had some people helping him in this endeavour of his.
Just behind the three of them were three hooded figures carrying some bags. The guards were being used as Lily and Nian's personal mules as they were carrying the stuff that they bought around the city.
At first, Lin Ye did not want to make them, saying that he was enough. It was a surprise when they all literally begged him to allow them to help the three of them. They said it would be a sin to make the two royals carry stuff while they were around.
So with that, three of them were carrying stuff while the other three were scattered around the area to keep them safe. He had to say, their help was appreciated. When he saw how much the two of them bought on their date, Lin Ye thought he was a fool to even think he was enough to carry all of that by himself.
Maybe he should make some food for them later. As a thank you.
"Gege! Come on!"
Lin Ye snapped back to reality when he heard him being called. He pulled his eyes away from the three guards behind him and brought them to the two girls that were dragging around now.
In front of him were two people that could be considered the most important people in the world.
One was one of twelve fragments of the top god of Yan while the other was the only princess of the said country.
However, Lin Ye did not view them like that.
What he was smiling at were two sisters that he needed to spoil.
Nothing more, nothing less.
"Okay, okay," Lin Ye chuckled, "Let's go to the shop first then to the café, okay?"
Both of them nodded and drugged the smiling man into the said shop. Not far behind them were three guards following them into the shop as well.
When the group finally disappeared into the building, they did not realise that they were being watched from afar.
Far away from them, a figure could be seen standing on top of a building with binoculars in its eyes. The direction of where she was in Lin Ye's group.
"A date again?" The voice of a woman hummed as she lowered her binoculars, "This makes three days in a row now. Is he rich or something? He did not look like it when I first met him though."
W asked herself as she tapped her feet.
"He really is a hard person to spy on," She said to no one, smirking in his direction, "Those guards are really something."
What she said was the truth. No matter where the man was, there would be at least six guards around his perimeter. This made W to be more creative in her spying. The safest way to do so was to spy on him above with how tightly guarded the ground was.
"Talulah, you really did find an interesting person for me," W smirked, "So this was the person that killed the pipsqueak. Maybe I should thank him."
She chuckled at the thought.
"He seems interesting to be around," She smirked, "A shame that Talulah ordered me to kill him."
