Jake and Hailey were taking a friendly, evening stroll together. They walked down the pathway, side by side, happy to be in eachother's presence. However, the evening itself wasn't all that pleasant. Dark, grey clouds had started to fill the sky, shadowing the atmosphere with its ominous hue. Hailey had started to fear that possibly heavy rain would hit them.
"Uh, Jake? This walk has been nice and all, but I'm not liking the look of those clouds..Rain seems to be fast approaching to me, and we haven't even got an umbrella or anything to shield ourselves." Hailey said as Jake turned his head around to her. The two of them were still walking along the pathway.
Jake proceeded to turn his eyesight towards the clouds, realising Hailey's point. It did, in fact, look like rain was about to pour down on them at any second now. "All we have is your jacket and my cardigan, but neither have hoods..Should we head back home?"
Jake acknowledged her request and nodded his head in agreement. "Okay, Hails. We'll go home.." With that, Jake and Hailey started to pick up the pace, occasionally staring up at the clouds, checking for any sign of droplets. Hailey slightly shivered feeling the wind hit against her body, but she brushed it off soon enough.

Their journey back home wasn't taking all that long. Just another ten minutes or so, and they would arrive at their destination. Jake and Hailey decided to settle at Hailey's house first, before Jake would then make his way back to his own place.
The two teenagers had been walking in complete silence. The only noises that could be heard were their feet shuffling against the concrete floor or the sounds of the wind increasingly getting louder as it hit their faces, blonde and blue locks of hair flowing graciously with the gale.
Suddenly, Hailey felt a small drop of water hit her nose, stopping her in her tracks. Jake did the same, looking confused as he did so. "Are you alright?" He asked the girl, only to see Hailey look up at the sky again.
"Oh, God.." Hailey muttered under her breath as Jake looked up with her.
All of a sudden, heavy and continuous drops of rainwater started to pour down on them, soaking them to the bone. The rain had started to gradually increase, becoming more louder and heavier with each second. It wasn't long before Jake and Hailey were absolutely drenched.
"OH, COME ON!" Hailey yelled out in frustration, barely managing to cover her head. However, her attempts were all in vain, as her hair was equally as wet as she was.
Jake groaned out loudly, feeling the droplets seep into the back of his light grey t-shirt underneath his blue jacket, sliding down his sensitive skin. It sent him goosebumps, which was a feeling he didn't like at all.
"Hailey! We need shelter! Where do we go?!" Jake blurted out, covering his head as best as he could, even though there wasn't any point.
"I don't know! Does it look like there is any shelter around here?!" Hailey replied back in agitation.
Jake then grabbed onto Hailey's hand and started to run off, glancing at every direction as he tried to find any source of shelter. It was quite hard for him to see, but he tried his best. Hailey hurriedly followed behind him, holding onto his hand securely to make sure she wouldn't accidentally let go and lose him.
Within minutes, Jake had caught sight of a huge tree, its branches filled to the brim with wet, green leaves. Though it wasn't the best option, there was nowhere else for them to go. Making his decision, Jake guided him and Hailey over to the evergreen.
"What are you doing?!" Hailey exclaimed, only to see Jake ignore her, giving no response. Soon afterwards, they had both made it underneath the sapling, panting heavily in order to catch their breath. The rain had reduced a little bit for them as the leaves protected them in some sort of way, but it was still not enough.
"What..are we..doing under here..?!" Hailey said, her breathing slowly returning back to normal. Jake was leaning against the tree, his palms rested on his knees, meeting Hailey's gaze to answer her question.
"There's..nowhere else. This is our..only option.." Jake murmured back to her, shivering from the cold as his entire body was soaked from the freezing rainwater.
"A tree?! Really Jake?! We are still getting soaked for your information!" Jake rolled his eyes at Hailey's reply and fixed his posture back up.
"God, Hailey! Does it look like we have anywhere else?! Atleast be happy that the rain has reduced a tiny bit for us because of the leaves above! I know it ain't much, but this is the best we can do! Unless, you wanna go back out in this lashing rain and find a better place, please be my guest!" Jake replied in defense, scoffing after.
Hailey huffed out in anger, crossing her arms as she turned her head away from him. Her back was rested against the timber of the tree as she had one leg up, pressing firmly against the bark. She hated this. She was wet, cold, irritated, and just wanted to be home. But now, she has to wait out this weather underneath a bloody tree as protection. As angry as she was, Hailey was grateful that she wasn't alone.
Biting her lip nervously, she turned her face back around to Jake, seeing him look off to his side as well, keeping quiet. Now, Hailey felt bad for giving out to him. Jake had tried to get them shelter, and he was right. There really was nowhere else to go. It was clear that Jake was a bit hurt from Hailey's small outburst.
"I-I'm sorry, Jake. I know you were just trying to help..It's just, I hate getting drenched from rain. I understand that we have no other option. I'm sorry.." She apologised, holding onto her arms.
Jake met her grey eyes and softly smiled at her. "It's okay, Hailey. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I know the current situation we're in isn't the greatest, but don't worry. The rain will clear up, and we'll be on our way home again. Although, we are completely wet.." Jake replied, fixing his extremely damp hair that had gone a bit flat.
Watching him, Hailey grasped onto her ponytail and squeezed it gently, her palms becoming more moist as water came out from her strands. "Why am I even doing this? The rain is still coming down on us..There's no point in trying to squeeze the water out from my hair." Hailey said in her thoughts, letting go of her hair.
"You know, this is..actually..kinda nice..It's not so bad.." Jake said quietly, beaming warmly at her. It was at this moment when Hailey decided to pause and take some time to process the situation she was in. The more she thought about it, the more she saw Jake's perspective.
Hailey had soon started to find this quite calming. The soothing noises of the rain falling from the sky and touching their skin, the cool breeze running through their strands of hair, the beautiful bright green leaves dancing gracefully with the wind up above. Hailey sighed in content, grinning peacefully.
"You're right..At first I thought this was terrible, but it's actually..quite relaxing..Even though we are still getting wet, it's not all bad.." Hailey responded in agreement, making Jake smile even more.
Jake then fell into a trance, staring at Hailey in awe as she continued to watch the rain. For some reason, Hailey looked so gorgeous, though she was drenched. He eyed her beautiful figure carefully, tracing one part of her body at a time. He couldn't stop gawking at her stunning teal locks, her mesmerising grey eyes, her luscious pink lips, her strong hips and thighs, her tender breasts..
"Wait, WHAT?!" Jake nearly screamed in his mind as he instantly whipped his head around to face the other direction. He was now a blushing mess, his cheeks growing hot. Hailey noticed this and was confused.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Hailey questioned his strange movements.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine.." Hailey raised an eyebrow at this and then proceeded to look down at herself. She then started to blush immensely, taking notice of the fact that the white shirt underneath her pink cardigan had become transparent due to the rain, showing off her bra and chest in display.
Hailey gasped and then immediately pulled the sides of her cardigan over her chest, covering it. She then fixed her sights onto Jake in embarrassment and frustration, who was still blushing non-stop.
"Were you looking at me?!" She asked him, extremely agitated. She clutched onto her cardigan tightly, her chest still covered and shielded. Jake bit his lip awkwardly, rubbing his neck.
"I-I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!" He replied, hoping Hailey would accept his apology. Hailey groaned quietly to herself and turned away.
"So embarrassing.." She murmured, knowing that she is going to have to keep her chest covered up until she got home and into her bedroom.
Mere seconds of awkward tension passed by before Jake looked at Hailey, who was still facing her head away from him. Jake slowly went up to her more closely, placing a hand on her shoulder. This caused Hailey to jump.
"Are you feeling alright?" He asked her softly.
"Yeah, just fine. Thanks." She responded a bit coldly. Jake sighed to himself, feeling stupid for even gazing at Hailey in the first place.
"Learn to keep your eyes to yourself, you idiot.." He scolded himself in his thoughts.
"How much longer do you think this rain is going to continue on for?" Hailey asked him lightly, her grip on the cardigan becoming more loose as her hands started to grow tired.
"I'm not sure..We are literally drenched to the skin.."
A frown approached the corners of Hailey's lips. Jake saw this and felt his heart ache. He could hear her sniffle a little bit, which really hit him in the feels.
"Oh, Hailey..It's okay..The rain will clear up soon. I just know it, and I promise I will take you home once that happens.." Jake said, reassuring his friend as best as he could. He then inched himself closer to Hailey, cupping a cheek of hers, turning her countenance towards him.
With a loving smile that gave Hailey a sense of comfort, Jake gently leaned in and connected his lips with Hailey's, taking her into a passionate kiss. Hailey could hear her own heart pound out of her chest, fireworks bursting inside her stomach.
Hailey could feel herself get lost in the kiss as she wrapped her arms around Jake's neck, returning it. She closed her eyes, her tongue carefully brushing against his own. A sound of pleasure escaped her lips as she felt Jake's palm grip onto her waist, clinging onto her body.
The kiss was soon broken apart as they gazed lovingly into the other's eyes. Hailey gasped lowly as Jake's muzzle suddenly tickled against her wet collarbone. He planted delicate and fragile kisses down her neck, hearing Hailey moan in tenderness. "Mmm, Jake.."
This feeling was something Hailey couldn't describe. Jake's soft lips touching her smooth skin, the clear rain droplets dropping down onto her, gliding down her epidermis as it seeped through her clothes. It sent a wave of tingles and warmth through her. She cooed at the affection, hugging Jake.
She was feeling cold earlier, but now she felt warmer than ever. Jake licked her neck affectionately before soon nibbling her skin in a teasing banter, which made Hailey giggle.
Jake pulled away from her and stroked her damp hair with a grin, kissing her cheek. "J-Jake, you kissed me..What did it mean..?" Hailey asked the latter shyly, face a bright pink.
"Hailey, I-I..I love you more than a friend..I care about you deeply, and seeing you upset really hurts me. Don't worry, you will get home soon..D-Do you feel the same way back..?" Jake confessed to her, avoiding her eyes as he blushed. Hailey slid her hand up his warm cheek before kissing his forehead.
"I do..I love you too, Jake.." Hearing that made Jake's heart leap for joy. A huge beam made its way onto his face.
"Can I..kiss you again?" Hailey sheepishly smiled and nodded her head.
"You can.."
Jake leaned in again and met her lips, making the kiss instantly become deeper by the second. Hailey held onto both his cheeks, kissing him back. Jake leaned her body against the tree they were protecting themselves under as his hands were wrapped around her hips. For both Jake and Hailey, this was truly a blissful experience for them, which they proceeded to carry on for until the rain cleared out.
