Seeing there was only one room left, they had to make do with it. So they went to their room with no protest. Lin Ye had to hold on to Nian's hand at all times. She was all jumpy as they went up the lift. This must be her first time using one, so he did not mind her being like this. When they arrive at the top floor, they made their way to the room.
On the top floor, there were only two rooms. Lin Ye was confused at first but went he saw how the room he understand why the floor only had two rooms.
This room was almost five times bigger than his at Rhodes Island.
Lin Ye went to explore this behemoth of a room. It was divided into three sections; the bedrooms, the dining hall and the living room. It had an indoor bath and a goddamn sauna that was in their bathroom. At the back, Lin Ye could see a balcony that was facing the city. True to FEater's words, they could see the entire city from here.
This was very overkill.
"This place is huge," Lin Ye said as he closed the balcony door behind him. He then looked at their sponsor for the room, "FEater, isn't this place enough for the six of us?"
"The room is big enough, but there are only three beds, "FEater sighed, "After all, it was designed for triple or quadruple rooms, and the rest are supporting facilities."
"I think it's fine," He shrugged, "Nian and I will share the sofa," Then he glanced at her who was laying on the sofa beside Messiah, "Right Nian?"
"Mhm!" She nodded.
"Good to hear," Then he glanced at the rest, "Skadi and FEater each will sleep on one bed while Warfarin and Grani shared a bed with each other."
"Why?" Warfarin glared at him.
"Both of you are small."
"Wha-!" She glared harder at him, "Are you saying I am a child?"
"With how you acting now?" He hummed, "Yes. Yes you are."
"Grr!" She growled but said nothing.
"... Suit yourself," FEater said.
They unpacked their thing quite a fast. Maybe it was because of how little they brought with them. There were all now in the living and watching the television. On it was news about the upcoming marriage. A thought came into his mind. He glanced at FEater.
"Hey Superstar." He called her.
"Hmm?" She, who was sitting on the other sofa, glanced at him, "What is it?"
"Your reaction at the desk below intrigued me," He said, "Why were you surprised at someone being higher than you in membership?"
"Oh? I understand," She nodded at him, "I was just surprised at that news."
"Why so?" Grani was also curious and asked her.
"Do I look like the person who is short of money?"
"From what I had seen by now, no," He chuckled, "You're loaded."
"There is one thing I want to make clear to you, the person in the suite next door is definitely not a normal person. Be careful when you talk and do things."
Grani looked up at FEater, "Why do you say that?"
She took out her VIP card from her coat and shook it in front of everyone, "Because I can say my membership level here to be the highest... The highest level that money can get you. That's why I was surprised at the member with a higher rank than me. That means that person must be someone that is related to nobility or even royalty."
Lin Ye asked, "What makes you so sure?"
"After all, next week is the engagement ceremony of the princess of Yan." She put down her card and explained, "It's not surprising that anyone who is important came here."
After hearing this. Lin Ye glanced at Messiah, who was sleeping on his lap. She really liked to sleep now. Then he looked beside him to see Nian eating a package of chilis like they were candies.
They had a divine beast and a god with them. Would that make them important people?
Then he glanced at Skadi, who was enjoying a cup of tea that he made for her. Skadi told him that the bounty hunter did not have a good connection with Yan. They were still present, just not as influential as other places.
Then he looked at Warfarin, who was reading up on some articles on her phone. He was willing to bet that even if she lived a long life, that still didn't bring any benefits to them.
"Acho!" She sneezed, "Who is talking about me behind my back?"
Lin Ye wisely looked away from her.
"Skadi," He called her, "Do you have anything to do here, besides our work?"
"I do," Skadi nodded, "I needed to find a branch of the bounty hunter here. I can get more information if I do this."
Lin Ye nodded at her. He already told her the real reason they were here.
"Nian?" He looked beside him, "Do you want to do anything here?"
"Uh-uh," She shook her head, "As long as I am with Gege, anything is fine!"
Lin Ye smiled gently at her and rubbed her head. She giggled at this.
"Grani," He looked at her, sitting on the other sofa, "You want to see how the police force operates here?"
"Mhm," She nodded, "But I still need to stick by you."
"Noted," He nodded and looked at Warfarin, "I and Warfarin will go to the library tomorrow. After some research there, I will go to the companies that we are interested in and have a relationship with. Sound good?"
"Roger that!"
"Noted."
"That was the plan."
"Yay! Adventure!"
Lin Ye chuckled at their reply.
FEater opened her mouth slightly, "You are really a pharmaceutical company?"
"Yes, we are," He smiled at her, "I already told you that."
"Then why did you come to Yan with the tour group?" FEater was very puzzled.
"That's..."Lin Ye shook his head, "Sorry, but I can't tell you. Outsiders can not know personnel detail. If my boss hears this... Let's say, I do not want that to happen."
Warfarin nodded her head, hearing this.
"Well, if that's the case, then I'll accompany you on a trip."FEater said with her arms, "I know this place like the back of my hand. Being you guys really is interesting. I might have an adventure like at the mountain again."
"I really hope that won't happen," He sighed, "Too tired to be bothered."
"Hey, the balconies of these two suites are connected."Grani's voice came from the balcony, "There is only a glass block that is separating them."
"That glass can be opened from the other side of the room." Going to her, FEater said, "That was why I wanted two rooms. But what can you do?"
Then she got an idea and went to the room's phone.
"Why don't we order something to eat?" She sounded excited, "The Tremella Lotus Seed Soup here are to die for."
{Rhodes Island's Psychologist}
The sound of the elevator bell echoed in the hall of the top floor.
A young woman walked out from with. She was accompanied by a butler not far behind her, carrying her stuff.
Ying Li stepped out of the elevator and looked at the suite with the sign of "There are guests" on the other side. She was slightly stunned by this, "There are people here?"
"Yes, Your Highness.."The old man said, "Our booking was quite rushed, so this was what we get. However, I think this should be enough."
Ying Li thought about it and asked, "What type of person is next to me?"
"She seems to be a famous martial arts star," The old man replied.
"Is that so?" Ying Li said softly, "A room of enough for me. I've always been alone, so it doesn't matter."
"I think this is good," He hummed, "With people being here, you won't be that alone."
"... You can leave now," Ying Li said, "The Crown Prince of Higashi and Ying Jie, I will leave it to you to handle those two. Just say I am nervous about my wedding. Even going insane might be as convincing."
The old man smiled bitterly and said, "Your Highness. Your reasons... well, I will try my best to let Your Highness have a single week of rest."
Ying Li hummed. They made their way to her room.
"Then this old man will retire first, "The old man bowed over slightly when he finished putting down her things, "I will go to the front desk to order a Tremella lotus seed soup for you, please rest well."
"I see." Ying Li said as she walked into her suite. She heard the door close behind her.
She hasn't been here for a long time. The last time she came here was a few years ago with the second prince, Ying Jie.
Ying Li slowly made her way to the balcony. She thought she might bask in the sunset for a while. Maybe she could get to see the martial artist that was staying beside her.
When she was on the balcony, she was surprised at the sight of no curtains being there. Ying Li could see the living room. However, no one was there. Maybe they were out to get something to eat?
Something caught her eyes.
A cat.
This cat felt strange as it stared at its different coloured eyes.
Ying Li couldn't help staring at it for a full minute before withdrawing her eyes in confusion.
"Strange cat?" Ying Li murmured.
Then took out her mobile phone, glanced and then gradually became silent.
She looked at the sky and saw it was bleeding red.
She basked in the warmth of it. It reminded her of a certain person.
She turned off her phone and looked up at the gradually falling sunset.
"Gege..." She then murmured under her breath, "I am about to marry someone. Can you give me your blessing?"
