I never expected the Moonsun will have camping episodes at Moonbyul2da. Anyway let's get going.
Byul POV
Its been a long time since she keeps her eye in SunWind Construction. It's not the company that curious her but with Solar. She makes sure she knows everything that's happening with her. She breakup with her long ago but her love for her never fades but flourish as time goes by. Even she just loving her from afar.
Without Solar knowledge she makes sure their company will get the contract from krystal Architecture. Its their Affiliated company.
"Byul," Ms. Lee stared at her straight in the eyes without batting an eyelash. I felt a sudden urge of nervousness. Dahee will never talk to her that seriously.
"Da- uhm Ceo Lee."
But her nervousness fades away when she blurts out laughing. I sighed in relief. I thought she'd be mad at me.
"Why so serious? Alam ko anong ginawa mo." She raised her brows and grin sheepishly.
"I know it's for Solar. You're helping her right? Well, they are a potential company so why not but I will not agreed not unless..."
I waited for her condition. I thought she's fine with it. I make sure Ms. Krystal give her the assurance that they will surely take over the contract.
"Da hee, Everything you asked i'll do it just lets get this contract please. It's not just me you are helping Hyejin too."
Dahee rolled her eyes.
"Okay fine. You win. But! You have to go with me to Gangchon. I want to go camping."
"Camping? You... You just want to do camping?" she asked a bit confused and she got a nod in replied.
"Okay... kelan mo ba gusto para maayos ko schedule ko at maibilin ko kay Hyejin mga urgent matters sa office ko."
"This weekend. Mahirap kase pag pinatagal ayoko ng masyadong planado. Gusto ko yong may thrill kaya nga camping."
I nodded continuesly just to give her assurance that it was okay with me whatever she plans. Then as our talk ended. I immediately went to Hyejin's desk and share the news. I know how happy she will be and it makes me feel genuinely glad for her. She'll have her chance again with Wheein.
That afternoon Hyejin went to the site and supervise the area. While I had to have a luncheon meeting with the CEO of SunWind Construction. None other than Ms. Kim Yongsun or Solar.
While nervously waiting on the reserve table I get for us. I can feel my whole body shaking. These little bit of sweats forming in my forehead and in my pilthrum.
Then finally, I saw her walking next to the waiter that's ushers her here. I felt the world gradually revolves as I saw her again this close. I can't take my eyes of her.
The waiter asking politely whats our order and here I am like a lunatic one just keep on noding and smiling, Agreeing on whatever the waiter suggests.
Solar gazed at me with furrowed brows. She kicks my feet under. I felt like I was waken up into my beautiful dreams.
"Awww!" I look under the table and glance at her puzzled and to the surprise waiter staring at both of us.
"Uhm... Can you leave us for the meantime just serve us some juice. I want ice tea. Ms. Moon what do you want?"
"You." I replied smiling wide at her and eyes glued to her but Solar seemed annoyed with my gesture and the waiter tried not to burst in laughter the way I lost in Solar's Charms.
"Just give her the same. Will call you later if we already choose what we want. Thank you." Solar politely handed back the menu to the waiter and looks straight to me.
"Wala ka talagang pinagbago, no?!"
She said placing the folder on her front.
"Ikaw din... Maganda ka paren. Mas gumanda ka pa nga eh." I said staring her from her face to the cleavage on her slightly ope blazer.
shit! is she wearing just bra underneath?
Solar flustered face stared at her. Quizzically assest her in silence then shakes her head.
"Manyak!" Solar pulled closed the blazer in the midst giving her scowled.
"Uhm, As we are here for the signing of the contract, I know it's just for formality, Naasikaso naman na ng mga abogado naten ang mga important matters at legalities. Here." She handed me the signed contract that I gladly accept, checked and place it on the side and back with her again.
"Aren't you going to read it?" she asked.
I shrugged my shoulder and smiled.
"It's okay, Nachecked ko na bago ko pa isend sayo ilang beses ko na yan ni revised. it's too easy to tell if meron mali or nabago."
"Bilis talaga ng mata mo sing bilis kung pano ka magpalit ng babae." It was low, more of whispered but it reached my ears.
"Hindi ako babaero... Kasalanan ko bang maging pogi ako?"
"Byul. Hi Ms. Kim nice to be here, Sorry I'm late."
We both glance to the direction of a sophisticated voice that's greeted us.
"Eto pa isa." Solar murmured.
I don't know why but my heart is churning the way she looks jealous at me about all those chismis na babaero ako eh wala naman akong naging girlfriend since then. Dahee sit next to me. I helped her take her sit and before I attend to her, she already take her seat and casually sipping her juice.
"So, nice to finally meet you Ms. Kim. I am so amazed with the potential of your Company and I hope will do business more in the future. Have you already signed the contract?" Dahee enthusiastically said that both of us just listened and nodded.
Then, Accidentally Dahee spilled my juice in my lap due to her mannerism of touching someone next to her when she tells stories. We all get flustered and Dahee immediately wipe my front. I glance at Solar staring where Dahee's hand already in front of my trouser's zipper. Awkwardly,I swat her hand politely. It was awkward.
"Byul, sorry... I don't mean that to happen. I'm sorry. Halika samahan kita sa restroom."
"No... it's okay. Hindi naman umabot sa ilalim. Okay lang."
Solar brows almost get one line. kanina ko pa napapansin ang pananahimik nya at tipid na sagot sa bawat pinaguusapan namen.
"uhm.Please, Excuse me." We all nodded and followed her till she entered the restroom door.
"Haist... Are you sure she's okay?" Dahee aske while I'm being puzzled.
"Huh? bakit sya tinatanong mo? ako tong halos paliguan mo ng juice." I got her wrist and acted chopping it.
"Dapat dito sa braso mo binabawasan! Ang clumsy mo tuloy kumilos."
"Gagi! Wala kaba napansin kay Solar. Kung nakakamatay lang and titig kanina pa tayo pinag pyestahan ng SOCO dito. Jowa mo beast mode na."
Nagtatawanan kame at sakto naman dumating na ang inorder nameng food at after nila mailagay ang mga food nag patuloy kame sa pag kwentuhan habang hinahantay si Solar.
"Hindi sya Beast. Honey ko nga yun."
"Aishh, Huwag ako! kinikilabutan ako sa kabaduyan mo." Nagtatawanan kame at dahil sa sweet gesture ni Dahee na hinahampas ang braso ko pag tumatawa lalong dumilim ang mukha ni Solar pagbalik sa upuan nya.
Then both of us share a knowing glance at each other but she look away avoiding my stares.
"Yey, let's eat gutom na ako."
Tumikhim si Solar na nagaalangan magsalita. Sabay kameng napatingin sa kanya ni Dahee.
"Uhm, Ano kase, May urgent problem sa office need ko na bumalik. Enjoy your meal. Tapos naman na tayo sa business matters naten eh
I have to go. I'm sorry." Solar stand and bow in front of us and offered her hand to shake to Dahee and just a polite nod to me.
"Huh? Sayang naman, I want to know you pa naman. I like you Solar, I think we can be a good friends. Ahhh! May camping kame ni Byul this weekend sama ka ha!"
We both get flustered and look at Dahee smiling wide at us.
"Ha?!"
"I... I don't-.." Solar uttered but Dahee cut her off.
"I won't take no for an answer. Hindi ka nga mag lunch ngayon with us eh. Kaya bawe ka sa camping naten. Tawagan ka ni Byul about sa details. See you there. Sige na. Baka urgent yong call mo at Baka makulitan kana samen sweet lang talaga kame pasensya kana ha."
Solar stared at me but just sighed and shakes her head and take her leave. Hindi ko rin alam ganito kalalabasan ng meeting na to. Naguguluhan ako sa kinikilos ni Dahee sa harap ni Solar and nagaalala naman akong baka ma misunderstood nya iyong closeness namen ni Dahee at lalo na magka lecheleche ang plano kong suyuin sya ulit.
"Dahee, Unnie, anong plano mo ha? Bakit ganun? Kala ko ba-" Naiiritang tanong ko.
But Dahee just shrugged it off and sumptuously devours her meal. I rolled my eyes and stared at the way where Solar takes to leave. I want to chase her and explain. Pero ano ba ieexplain ko? Hindi ko alam kung galit ba sya or whatever. Ang gulo! Dinagdagan pa nitong kapreng babaeng boss ko.
At next day, I talked to Hyejin and saw her wearing sunglasses inside the office. Natatawa ako pero nalungkot deep inside. I know her struggles to win back her love. Sakto at me binili akong macaroons at ice coffee. Sana mawala ang lungkot nya sa good news ko kagabi kase sa managers meeting ni request ko sya ng company service vehicle para hindi na sya mahirapan sa pag commute at hindi naman lagi available ang company drivers.
"Taas ng araw dito ah." Bati ko sa kanya inirapan lang ako nito.
"Haist isang araw mo palang nakikita si Wheein ganyan kana. what more pa sa mga susunod n buwan. Sayang tong regalo ko sayo." I wiggled the key in front of her to tease her. Alam kong matutuwa talaga si Hyejin dito pero di ko maalis na mag alala para sa kanya. Alam ko kung gaano ka tigas and puso ng bansot na yon. Noon halos lahat na ng pag suyo at pag mamakaawa pati pag hahantay ginawa na ni Hyejin pero natikis paren siya nito. Bagay na hindi ko nagawa kay Solar.
Bakit?
Dahil duwag ako. I'm scared to face humiliation. I don't want her to resent me. To curse at me and makes me look pathetic in front of everyone who knows me. I'm prideful? No, I'm just scared of rejection. parang it will void my whole being if someone reject me.
Kaya nga yong mga girlfriend na sinasabi ni Solar. Hindi ko naman sila niligawan. I tried to be closed with anyone trying to find what I want on a person to be with pero lahat kulang, kung hindi kulang kabaliktaran ng ugaling hinahanap ko until finally It all came to me. The realization hits me that what I'm looking for every person I've met was Solar personality.
She can be bubbly and serious. She can be witty but clumsy. She can sweet but deadly when she get jealous. She can be sweet as honey but sting like a bee, and my heart was stinging in pain of losing her and missing her from all those times I wanted to be with her but she kept on avoiding me.
This coming weekend, I don't know what will happen. I want to change my mind to go with Dahee, I'm afraid, if I mess up everything. I will lose my chance with Solar.
THE Camping Day...
Dahee told me to meet her at the company parking area on Sunday morning. I was the first to arrive, nervously waiting for the two. Then a cab stop in front of me and Solar get off looking like some napalitan na sumama kahit labag sa kalooban nya, tipong taong dadalin sa kulungan at sisintensyahan ang itsura nya samanatalang ako nag didiwang yong puso ko na makita at makasama sya. Pakiramdam ko nga me party ng butterflies sa loob ng dibdib ko sa sobrang lakas ng kabog sa loob. I timidly nod and smiled at her. We both standing on the sidewalk holding our bags.
"You're ready?" I asked feeling tense inside and she didn't answer but just nod at me nonchalantly.
I keep on glancing at my watch Dahee is 30 minutes late. I heard my phone ringing and just in time a RV-van stop in front of us.
"Hello... Dahee Unnie? San kana? You're late."
"Byul, I'm sorry may appointment ako ngayon araw I forgot to tell you last night. Dumating kase parents ko at nag papasama saken. Alam mo naman madalang ako makauwe samen kaya samantalahin ko muna. Ikaw na bahala kay Solar. Chance mo na. Bye" and Dahee ended the call.
I glance at Solar waiting for me to share what happen to Dahee but I know she will not come with me if I told her it was just us. The driver of the Van handed me the camper van key.
"What? Where is she?"Solar asked I gesture her to wait kunware may kausap pa ako.
"Huh? Ano Unnie? Mauna na kame dun ahh... sususunod ka nalang? Ahhh... Okay... Okay. sige ingat ka." I said turning away to hide my lying face.
"What?! Give me the phone! I'll talk to her." Solar get the phone on my hand.
"Hello... Ms. Lee Dahee... Hello?" Solar irritatedly grunt in disbelief.
"Ano sabi bakit wala pa sya?" iritableng tanong nito.
"Sabi nya susunod nalang sya, mauna na daw tayo at tinanghali sya ng gising." I reasoned out. crossing my fingers na huwag mag backout si Solar.
"Sigurado kabang susunod un eh anlaki nitong RV tapos tayo lang dalawa. May lisensya kaba para dito? Mabuti pa icanceled na naten to madame pa ako mas importanteng bagay na gagawin kesa mag camping. Such a waist of time and energy."
Parang kinurot ang puso ko sa huling sinabi nya. Am I such a waist of time? Wala ba akong value or importance sa kanya?
Hindi! Andito na ako, grab the chance Mansaeng! Don't get sway! Galit lang yan pero alam kong lalambot karen. I pick up her bag and place it inside not minding her continues whining. I open the door to let her hop in the passenger side and she obligly followed anyway, She looks so dissatisfied to come with me.
After closing the door, I can't help but smile it's been a long time since I drive for her.
"Leggo..." I glance at her to check if she safely out her seatbelt on but she sighed and roll her eyes on me.
"Ayusin mo pag dadrive mo, Ayoko pang mamatay." saad nya, napalingon ako at ngumite.
"Ako pa ba? Parang di mo alam kung gaano ako ka galing mag drive ah.
Don't worry hindi ko hahayaan mapahamak ka."
"Eh mas delikado ka panga kaysa sa tumalon ako sa bangin."
Natawa ako sa comparison nya.
"Bangin? Why naman?"
"Mas gustohin ko pang mahulog at mamatay nalang sa bangin kaysa sayo."
"Bakit, sinalo naman kita ah. Yon lang noon kase mascold kapa kaysa
kay Elsa."
"Ano! Cold? Kaya mas masarap pumatol sa hot tulad ng pinsan-"
"Stop!" I abruptly stop the Van that she almost bump sa dashboard.
"What the hell! Ayusin mo naman pagdadrive mo! Ako na nga dyan!"
singhal nya nagpanting ang tenga ko. Wala kaseng kinalaman si Hyejin sa usapan bigla nya isisingit yong nakaraan.
"Will you please don't drag the past and Hyejin here?" I tried to calmed myself and get back on the road.
"SURE! Don't talk to me anymore." Padabog na humalukipkip sya at tumingin sa labas.
"Ang childish mo."
I glance at her plugging her ears with her earbuds and pretending asleep. I sighed deep. Thinking what to do to appease her heart and persuade her without us bickering about the past. I'm confused lahat ng prinactise at naisip kong scenario para magkabalikan kame malayong magkatotoo. She's spontaneous and sometimes unpredictable now, malayo sa Solar na school nerd at miss goody-two-shoes.
Arriving at our destination, I glance at her peaceful in her sleep. I parked the Van and grab this opportunity to enjoy this beautiful site beside me. Na miss kong pagmasdan sya ng malapitan.
Nagulat ako ng bigla syang gumalaw at nagising.
"We're here." I said and get off the van. Solar get off and yawn stretching her numb neck.
"Wow..." She only said roaming her eyes around the wonderful scenery before us. It's such a healing to be with nature. I give her a chair to sit with while moving around and preparing things we need. the small stable the portable stove for grilling meat, Lighting the woods to cook some soup with ramyeon though I'm struggling how to do it. the smoke stinging my eyes, my hands gets burnt on when I accidentally hold the grills.
fuck it! I'm getting clumsy to the highest level!
"What time daw sya dadating?"
Solar said breaking the awkward silence between us. Napalingon ako sa kanya at Kinabahan. Nagisip agad ako ng dahilan.
"after lunch daw."
"Daw? So you mean you're not sure about it? pinagloloko nyo ba ako?
tell me, plano mo to ano?! Wala na ba talaga katinuan dyan sa utak mo?"
Nakapamewang na singhal ni Solar saken sumunod pala ito sa loob ng Van. Kasalukuyan kong nilalabas ang mga karneng iihaw namen para sa lunch. Napapagod na ako at naiirita sa pagaasikaso dahil wala naman akong alam sa mga bagay na tulad nito. Mas sanay ako na ako ang inaasikaso at natulong lang sa mga ganitong outing. Stress pa sa pagka dragon nitong kasama kong parang lalamunin ako ng buo pag nalamang hindi talaga makakarating si Dahee. Padabog na binagsak ko sa sink ang mga frozen meet at tumitig sa kanya ng matiim halantang nagulat din sya.
"So what now?! So what kung hindi sya makasunod aalis ka? Go! Umalis kana tutal hindi ako worthy para pag-aksayahan mo ng oras mo. Sino ba naman ako? Ex-girlfriend mo lang naman akong walang kwenta sayo. Solar, why?! Ano ba nagawa ko?! Why you always makes me feel na wala akong kwentang tao. Na hindi ko deserve yong attention mo? Ganun ba ako kahirap mahalin, T*ngina kase! ikaw hanggang ngayon mahal kita! mahal na mahal paren kita! Pero nakakapagod na umasa at malimos sayo ng attention at oras mong mahalaga para sa mga tulad kong walang kwenta!" Hindi ko na napigilang maiyak. Tumalikod ako at umalis upang makapag pahangin muna at kalmahin yong sarili ko.
"Byul! Come back here! Byul! MoonByul-yi!"
I can still hear her calling me pero nagpatuloy lang ako sa paglalakad, magpapalipas lang muna ako ng sama ng loob at galit. Ayokong mag rant pa sa kanya. Tama ng nasabi ko minsan. Umupo ako sa isang malaking bato sa tabing ilog at dumampot ng maliit na bato para ihagis. Sa ganitong paraan na rerelax ako.
Kapalaran ata namen ni Hyejin ang maging broken sa mga taong mahal namen. Martir na kung martir mahal namen eh. Pag mahal mo pagtiisan mo. Humugot ako ng isang malalim na buntong hininga. "Shit, Uulan pa ata. Tong si Dahee ayos din talaga mag plano eh. Kelangan na namen makabalik sa Seoul baka maabutan kame ng malakas na ulan, Maputik sa daan dahil rough road ang daan. Walang ganang bumalik sya sa Kinaroroonan ng Camper Van.
"Byul!" Tawag ni Solar habang niligpit ang mga gamit papasok ng Van.
"Pumasok kana!"
Hindi pa sya nakakalapit ng biglang bumuhos ang ulan. Nagmamadaling Tiniklop ko ang mga upuan at tent upang hndi masira. Wala akong magawa kundi maligo na sa ulan.
After kong tapos iligpit Lahat at masiguro ang lahat saka ko pumasok para mag ligo at magpalit. buti nalang at may stock n tubig ang Van. Wala kameng imikan habang nag hibihis ako andu sya at nakaupo sa me maliit na lamesa.

Ngunit parang nananadya ang panahon na walangntigil ang ulan. Safe naman ang kinalalagyan namen pero dahil open area wala kame magawa kundi manatili sa loob lang na parang wala kang kasama dahil sa nakakabinging katahimikan.
I heard my stomach grambling. Nag poprotesta na mga bituka ko sa gutom maghahapon na.
Narinig kong kumilos si Solar upang maghain ng pagkain sa lamesa. binuksan nya ang 2 cup ng ramyeon at isang can ng kimchi nagpainit ng tubig saka sinalin sa mga cup upang maluto ito.
"Kumain kana," Aya nya, Gusto ko man mag matigas pero nakakagutom ang aroma ng ramyeon at ng kimchi.
pakiramdam ko tutulo laway ko sa takam dito. Nagulat aq ng may kunin sya sa isang cupboard, oven pa yun. Naginit sya ng rice at ready to eat meal.
"San galing to?"
"Kumain kanalang."
Tahimik akong kumain pakiramdam ko napakasarap na ng pagkain na un. kahit lagi ko naman natitkman.
"Salamat. S-Sorry kanina." Huminto sa pagkain si Silar at mataman akong tiningnan sa mga mata. Hindi ko mabasa kung ano natakbo sa isip nya kinakabahan akong ng bawi ng tingin.
"Look at me!"
Mariin nyang utos at nagalaalang napatingin ako sa kanya.

"huh?! A-alin dun? S-sorry na nga diba." Takot na sagot ko. Hindi ko pa nakikita ang ganitong side ni Solar. Dati kase pag galit sya saken sinasabi nya. para akong nasa gitna ng kalmadong dagat at bumabagyo sa ibabaw. Napalunok ako sa tension nararamdaman ko.
"Y-Yun bang Wala akong kwenta?"
umaling lang sya.
"Y-Yung minura kita?"
muli iling lang ang sinagot nya.
"Alin ba dun?" Napapahiyang napakamot ako sa ulo. Tumayo sya at dumukwang sa harap ko t kinulweyohan ang suot kong jacket.
"Tell me Ano yung sinabi mo kanina!"
"A- ano... Ahhh... Alin ba kase?

Solar pulled my nape ang kiss me passionately. Ahh... I missed her so much... I circle my arms around her waist and seated her on my lap. I can feel her trembling lips grazing with mine. I pulled away ang stare at her orbs.

"What do you think Moon Byul-yi!"
I smiled Solar bearly said my full name but when she do I know it was because she loves it or she love me.
"Why, you're smiling? May nakakatawa ba?" iritableng tanong nito.
"Wala! Saying my full name is like saying I love you to me." she poke on my nose and peck a on kiss me.
"kaya patay saken pag nalaman kong may tumawag sayo ng ganyan."
napahalakhak ako ng malakas. Ang possessive naman ng mahal ko.
"Wala ikaw lang. Bukod sa Mama ko pag galit na saken."
"See ang hilig mo galitin ang mga mahal mo. Ayyyyy!" Napatili si Solar sa lakas ng kulog at kidlat sa labas ng Van na lalong nagpahigpit ng yakap nya saken. Gusto kong magpasalamat kay Dahee or sa Bagyo. Baka kung hindi, hindi ko alam kung pano kame magkakayos ni Solar.
Tumayo ako at dinala sya sa kama.
Dahan dahan nilapag sya at humiga sa tabi nya.
"Honey, I LOVE YOU."
Ngunit tahimik lang itong naka titig sa kanya.
"Yong, I said I love you." Ngunit hindi paren ito umimik bagkus yumakap at umiyak ito.

I felt tense sa nakikita ko sa mga mata nya. Hindi naman ganito yong Solar na kilala ko. Inosente at reserve. I brushed the unwanted thoughts of her doing that kind of things with other pero na curious ako malaman.
"Hindi kana takot sa ganyan bagay ngayon, Dati... Is that mean?"

Parang gusto kong mag slide sa rainbow sa pakiramdam na nadarama ko sa mga oras na to. Totoo ba talaga tong nangyayare samen ngayon?
"Kurutin mo nga ako."
Naguguluhang napatitig sya sakin pero ginawa din naman nya kinurot nya ako sa braso.
"Outch! Okay... Its real!" Napatawa sya ng mahina.
"I love you Moon Byul-yi."
"I love you, Honey."

I take the ring on my necklace and slid to her ring finger.
"Its just temporary. But its yours right? I'll buy you a good one you deserve."
Solar stared to the ring Byul gave to her on their first year anniversary but she throw away on the beach one time she came their alone. Crying in pain. With her teary eyes and surprise look.
"Pano mo to nakuha?"
