POV: OMNISCIENT
It was a new day, one full of colors and life, in a world where everyone possesses something unique. Powers; better known as quirks.
The prestigious Academy of heroes finally opened its doors for students to start and continue their academic lives. This academy was divided into different categories, but it was the most known for the hero course.
Class 1-A, the class for those in the hero course, despite being number one, the class was not considered superior in any way, according to the professors, but people have always known that those in the number 1 class were just different from the rest.
At first glance, there was a wide variety of students. Everybody was distinctive from the others like many different body types related to their quirks, and of course, it was evident that they all had different abilities. Unlike the other classes, this one had 24 students than the typical 20, since this year several of the applicants had exceeded in the admission exam, and it was believed more convenient to keep them all in a single room than to divide them and put some in class 1- B.
Who are we to judge, right?
For being the first day, all the students looked calm, they did not know what to expect on their first day at the grand academy, but there were already people who knew each other before. At the very back of the class, there was a white-haired girl called Aoi, covered in bandages and with remarkable sutures under her left eye, and without anyone looking, she was eating a piece of cake.
"Can't believe you still have the habit of having breakfast in class," said Aikou, a girl with pink hair who was standing next to her. "Guess that after so long without seeing each other, it is nice to see you haven't changed."
"What can I say? My grandma forced me to come early because it was the first day, and well, I would never say no to a piece of cake." Aoi replied while giving the cake a big bite
"Let's hope that our professor won't make a deal about you eating," Aikou replied while looking around. "I wonder who will it be, I hope it is someone really cool."
Aoi put on a serious expression for a moment but then smiled at her. "Let's hope so."
They both giggled. A couple of minutes passed before the teacher in charge of the class arrived, lying down on the floor with a sleeping bag, scaring some of the students standing at the entrance talking—Aizawa Shōta, also known by his hero name, Eraser Head. From just looking at his expression and the way he behaved, one could easily assume that this was a bum, but that person would be the one who would teach the class how to become heroes.
Aoi leaned silently towards Aikou "told you he wouldn't be cool, he looks like a homeless person" she whispered.
"He looks fine tho," Aikou whispered back, but fixed her posture since she noticed that Aizawa glanced towards them.
"I am your professor, Aizawa Shota, it is a pleasure," He said with an annoyed low voice. "It may be sudden, but..." said Aizawa while taking a sports uniform out of the sleeping bag he came in. "Put this on and let us go to the field."
"Sudden huh..." Aoi exclaimed "Guess they don't lose time at all to get started on the training"
"My my, guess this place will indeed push us all to our limits from day one," Aikou commented while smiling at her

Everyone changed to their sports uniform and headed to the field as indicated by Aizawa and once they got there, he started talking
"Today we will have an evaluation of your quirks" Aizawa stated
"AN EVALUATION?!" asked everyone in unison surprised
"What about the ceremony? and the orientation?" a girl with short brown hair called Uraraka asked
"If you want to turn into heroes, you don't have time for those kinds of events" he answered,
"kind of a shame, I wanted to look around..." Niji complained while pouting like a little girl. She was a small girl with grey drill tails with many rainbow colors, her size was so small that it was impressive how she was in the same class as them
"UA is a school that is strict when it comes to its traditions, just like how strict they are when it comes to teaching" interrupted Aizawa "You guys have been doing this since you were in school, right? using your quirks in physical tests is not allowed, so the data is taken from students without their quirks, and that is irrational" he let out a short sigh "the education ministry is such a pain"
Some of the student's expressions agreed with what was said.
"Bakugo, you got first place on the practical exam" Aizawa commented
A blond spiked hair guy looked at him, making all students look his way
"In school, what was your best result in the softball throwing practice?" he asked
"67 meters" answered Bakugo
"Then... try it using your quirk," Aizawa said, offering a ball
Bakugo started walking to the circle point, and all of the students were looking at him seriously, of course, they all wanted to know which quirk took him to the first place, except for some students who just seemed uninterested.
"He looks like a bastard... Gives off the show-off vibes " Aoi whispered
"Come on, you haven't even met him, we should try and make friends" Aikou whispered back
"You can do whatever you want as long as you stay inside the circle, but make it quick" Aizawa added
"Very well... I will just explode it all!" said Bakugo while stretching and getting ready to throw the ball "DIE!!" he screamed while throwing it using a great explosion that helped the ball to be strongly impulsed
"Know your maximum capabilities first, that is the most rational way to do things here," said Aizawa while showing the distance Bakugo reached
"750 meters?!" Uraraka and Kaminari said in unison surprised by the result
"heh... this will be fun after all," Aoi exclaimed with an intrigued face, her eyes looking at Bakugo sharply "(Something about him really bothers me tho... I should keep my eye on him)"
"I agree, it is awesome we can use our quirks," said Kirishima
"All right!" said Sero
Everyone was excited to get to show off their quirks and abilities except for a girl who was standing way behind everybody, she was so silent and still, that her presence was almost nonexistent.
"'fun' you say..." interrupted Aizawa while they were getting excited "You guys have three years to become heroes, you really think you can have that attitude all the time?"
Everyone went silent because of the reality of those words
"Very well... who ends up last in all of the trials, will be judged for having no potential," said Aizawa with a small evil smile "And will be expelled as a punishment"
Everyone stared at the teacher for one second and then all screamed surprised
"Expulsion? But my quirk is not the best for these types of trials..." Aikou commented getting nervous
"Don't worry, doubt your quirk is worse than his" Aoi said while discreetly pointing towards the small guy with balls on his head called Mineta
"We are fully allowed to act on any circumstance when it comes to our students, so welcome to the hero course here in UA, if you don't feel capable of doing these trials, feel free to leave," said Aizawa while lifting the hair in his face and smiling at the students
"I think it is really unfair to expel someone on their first day, no... on any day!" Uraraka exclaimed nervously
"I agree, we just got here and it already took us a lot of effort even to qualify" Niji added while looking at Aizawa with fear
"natural disasters, big accidents..." started Aizawa "and annoying villains can't be predicted. Japan is full of injustices, and it is the heroes' duty to turn those situations, if you want to talk to friends then that is sad, because for the next three years you guys will go through one hard thing after another, so go beyond plus ultra"
"(Guess I have no option but to give my all if I want to last long enough)" Aoi thought while stretching and still peeking at Aizawa. Every time she would look at him, she would glare at him. Aikou would notice this once in a while and bump her with her elbow to try and make her stop.
Aizawa was about to look at Aoi to catch her staring at him, but Aoi turned to Aikou and started a conversation to avoid suspicion.
"let us start the real thing then" said Aizawa

50-meter dash
"on your marks, get set... GO" said a machine over and over again while the students were racing one against the other many times to track their speed. Most of them used their quirks to do this, like a blue-haired boy with glasses used his quirk to move fast enough to reach the end on record time, while others used things around them to impulse themselves to the finish line, like the white-haired girl who used the metal around her to move from one point to another. And other students created things with their quirks to get to the finish line.
"5.3 seconds," said the machine once Hakkotsu crossed the finish like while competing against Kaminari by riding on a big skeletal monster.
"Woah, she just created a big monster to finish!" said Kaminari impressed by her quirk "A little scary tho haha, I thought I was going to be attacked"
"I think it is amazing, she can just create monsters like that," said Mina, a girl with pink skin and hair with an alien type of appearance "it is the first time I see something like that, but I agree they do look terrifying"
"Hey, what is that thing on your arm?" asked Kaminari once he noticed there was a device on her upper left arm with a big red button
"it... it is nothing... just a support mechanism" Hakkotsu just felt uncomfortable and quickly got rid of the creature she created for the trial, turning into dust, so that they would not keep looking at her. She walked away with a serious expression. Her appearance was simple, half of her hair was red and the other one was black, and so were her eyes.
The girl is Hakkotsu Akatsuki, her quirk is Death Summoning, she can create skeletal creatures using the calcium of her body and order them around to her convenience. Usually compared to necromancing, but with more steps. It is unknown what the device on her arm does, but she can't take it off.
"I really... didn't want to... show my quirk..." said Hakkotsu in a shallow tone while she hid her face with her hair and finally stood behind everybody again so that those around would just go back to ignoring her.

Grip Strength
Everybody was given a small mechanism to track their physical strength. Some just had immense power like a red-haired boy called Kirishima Eijiro and a tall boy with tentacle arms named Shoji.
Meanwhile, most of the girls using the mechanism were getting really low numbers, except for the small girl with drill tails called Niji who got the highest score of the girls, everyone was impressed by how strong she was since her grip strength was similar to those of the boys.
Aoi looked at the mechanism with a serious face "this is just metal, I can just simply use my quirk so I can get a good score and..." she said while using her quirk way too much, causing the mechanism to break and explode into many pieces. Most of the broken pieces fell on the floor making a huge mess.
Aoi Kuro, one of the five students accepted by recommendation, quirk: polarity. She can manipulate and mold metal and metal-containing objects, including controlling them in a solid or liquid form. Also, her body can send out waves that work as metal detectors.
Aoi tried to pick the pieces quickly with her quirk, but she heard a voice right behind her.
"Miss Kuro!" said Aizawa causing the white-haired girl to feel a chill down her spine since his eyes were glowing red while his hair was standing causing the Aoi's quirk to disappear and all the metal she was controlling to fall to the floor and make a bigger mess "You are not allowed to use your quirk in this trial, this is a physical strength exam, not a quirk strength, and since you broke the mechanism please use someone else's"
"How come the others get to use their quirks and I can't?" she asked with an angry tone, but when she looked at how serious he was she just clicked her tongue "Fine..." she replied while noticing she could not activate her quirk at all to at least pick up the pieces she broke
"Here, use mine," said Kaminari whose quirk is an electric type one "I already finished the trial so you can use it for as long as you want"
"Thanks..." Aoi said with a serious face while taking it and noticed she could use her quirk again meaning she was able to pick up the broken pieces on the floor and place them all in a trash bacg
"No problem, the name is Kaminari Denki, a pleasure to meet you" said Kaminari with a big smile on his face
Aoi just looked at him and gave him a small smile "I am Kuro Aoi, but feel free to call me Aoi"
"Sure thing!" Kaminari said and started to walk away in the direction of the other boys in the class
"(why is everybody so nice? it kind of pisses me off... I have to remember I am not here to make friends... kinda hard with Aikou around)" Aoi thought while letting out a long sigh and continuing to finish the trial
"Hey Aoi," said Aikou while walking with a big smile on her face towards her and almost filled with excitement
"What's the matter?" asked Aoi
"Have you noticed there are so many cute boys and girls in this class? maybe I could finally get myself a nice partner without using my quirk" Aikou whispered in her ear
"not really, I haven't really glanced at anybody except for the guy at the beginning and some who have introduced themselves to me" Aoi answered while trying to show her a smile
"Huh? Why? You used to try and be friends with everybody, mostly to find out how strong they were, but never thought of you as someone who would ignore people" Aikou asked surprised by her comment
"(shit... I need to try and fake being my old self while around her) I am just a little tired, and no one has really caught my attention... also, you better not mess with anybody with that quirk of yours, I had enough trouble dealing with your last 'boyfriend', he was such a pain when he found out what you were doing to him" Aoi replied while faking a yawn to try and convince her
"It was not my fault that he didn't like me and I just used my quirk to make him like me," Aikou said with a lot of confidence "What's so wrong about forcing people to love me when I really like them?"
"that... is the exact problem..." Aoi let out a big sigh "I think this time it is best you don't focus on finding love now that you are on a hero course, actually I am still surprised you applied to the hero course, I thought you wanted to be a model" commented Aoi with a tired yet curious tone while looking at her "Never expected to find you remotely close to UA..."
"Things change I guess," Aikou replied letting out a nervous laugh while smiling at her, "I think I could be a better hero than a model"
"Had you kept your long hair I think you would have become an amazing model ... I kind of miss it, now you look older" Aoi commented while playing with Aikou's hair
"You don't like it?" Aikou asked while looking at her with a concerned expression, almost filled with sadness
"No no, its not that. I guess I liked how things were before, and it was sudden that you just decided to cut your hair, you still look beautiful tho" Aoi replied nervous for making her feel bad because of her comment
Aikou smiled at her "You will get used to it, I promise, for now, just try to get along with others, ok? I want us to have a lot of friends this year"
Aoi glanced at everybody for a moment and then looked at her "I'll try, but I don't promise anything"
"Very well, let us go to the next trial" Commented Aizawa so that students would finish doing the trial and start heading to the next place

The other two trials; the standing long jump and the repeated side steps went out really well. Now everybody was really into the next trial which was used as a demonstration just because this trial was going to show how strong are everybody's quirks.
Ball Throw
"Satou, your turn," said Aizawa without expecting two students to step up, one being a big guy with brown hair and the other was the small girl with the drill tails.
"Ahre..." both of them reacted while noticing they both have the same last name and let out a nervous laugh while looking at each other
"I forgot about that... fine then, Satou Niji, step up," said Aizawa referring to the small girl with drill tails
"Of course!" she said with a big smile while sucking on a red lollipop
"tsk, since when can little kids enter UA?" Bakugo asked making fun of her in a pissed way
when she heard the comment she stopped walking towards the circle for just a moment and then continued "kid... " she said a little annoyed while standing in the circle, throwing the ball upwards and taking the lollipop out of her mouth "Let me show you..." she said while using her quirk causing the lollipop to increase to an amazing size
" WHAT A KID CAN DO!" she screamed while using the lollipop as a bat to hit the ball as strongly as she could causing a small wind to expand from the impact
some seconds passed and Aizawa looked at her "320 meters"
"What?!" many exclaimed surprised by the distance she was able to reach
Meanwhile, Niji just smiled and made her lollipop small again to continue licking it "Guess kids are stronger nowadays but try not to call me a kid please, ok?" she said while winking at Bakugo since he was the one who made the comment and then laughing a little.
Niji Satou, quirk: sugar enhancement, she can make any sugar-containing food grow and shrink. Her strength just comes from overall practice and training from previous years.
"Miss Kuro... your turn," said Aizawa with a serious expression while looking at Aoi, it was evident that they both didn't get along by the way they reacted to each other, even some students noticed how strangely they reacted to each other's presence. When they both were standing side by side, it was as if all the students could use a knife to cut the tension between them.
Aoi started walking and tightened the bandages on her arm so they wouldn't be a bother.
"fine..." said Aoi while she stepped into the circle "(this definitely has metal, after all, it requires something to track the distance) Perfect, I guess I will just use it to my advantage"
She smiled while licking her fangs, placing the ball as back as she could and then impulsing it as high as possible using her quirk on the metal tracker the ball had so the ball could travel the furthest distance possible for her
"... 630 meters," Said Aizawa
"huh? just that? (I was not even close to the porcupine boy from the beginning... I was expecting at least 700) tsk" she exclaimed while heading back to the group and stood next to Aikou
"You did great Aoi" she exclaimed to try and cheer Aoi up a little since her expression showed how disappointed she was
"It was not enough... maybe I lost strength during..." Aoi was about to comment but stopped when she realized that she was about to expose herself and simply looked at the bandages on her arms
"Stop being so dramatic" Aikou interrupted "maybe you are not doing your 100% because your body is still in pain, so relax a little"
"Yeah, you are right. I'm sorry... I think I should listen to you" she looked at her and smiled "thanks Aikou"
"Miss Rei, it is your turn" Said Aizawa, interrupting the girls' conversation.
"Wish me luck," said Aikou while heading to the circle
"You don't need it," said Aoi while looking at Aizawa seriously, she didn't like him from the first time they met, she didn't like him now, and she showed no sign of liking him in the future
Aikou stood in the circle and looked around for some time
"We don't have all day, hurry up," said Aizawa
"of course, just give me a ... second," she said until she spotted a bird standing on a tree
She placed her right hand in a gun position and pointed it at the bird causing her whole body to shine with pink stripes including her eyes and birthmarks
A heart bullet was shot hitting the bird, then she repeated the same thing with the other hand but this time aiming the ball. In just some seconds the bird started flying towards the ball and before it reached it she threw the ball so that the bird would grab it and start flying away with it.
"... You took a lot of time... but... you got 60 meters" commented Aizawa after she finished
"good enough, the bird did its best," said Aikou while the stripes in her body started to disappear "I promise I will do better next time," she said while smiling and looking at the distance
Aikou Rei, quirk: Cupid's gun, she can make any living things fall in love with living and nonliving things. She chooses the victim with her right hand and the target with her left hand, and the more bullets one receives the more attraction one feels.
Some of the other students finished, but a situation started between the teacher and the green-haired boy called Midoriya, causing Aoi to finally give her classmates some of her attention. They were talking about how he had little to no potential at all, and that the fact that his own quirk causes him pain is unbelievable.
After throwing the ball, Bakugo started screaming and tried to run towards Midoriya but was stopped by Aizawa with his scarf.
"What the hell is this?! how come it is so hard?" said Bakugo while trying to move
"They are weapons made with carbon fiber, combined with a metal cable of a special alloy," Aizawa replied while tightening the grip of his scarf "You won't be able to get off it easily"
"metal alloy huh... (that's a detail I should keep in mind)" said Aoi almost whispering to herself, but Aikou was able to overhear her since she was really close to her
"Please don't try to go against him" whispered Aikou
Aoi smiled at her to give reassurance, but something was telling her that that detail would come in handy in the future. Everybody was surprised about their professor's quirk and started to talk about what just happened, easily they all just assumed that those two had a bad history together since they were some of the only ones who seemed to know each other prior to entering UA.

The long-distance race, abdominals, and feet-touching trials have finally concluded. Many of the students were awfully exhausted but there was still one last thing to do in the field.
"Now I will show the results of the trials since I am way too tired to actually announce each of them," said Aizawa while a hologram was displayed for everybody to see
Everybody was looking for their names, fearing to be the last one on the list, but some of them didn't even glance at the last spots.
"(Where is my name?)" thought Aoi while looking at the list starting from the first place going down "(4th place...) what?... (My points are far from the third place, I didn't even make it to top three... had I fully used my quirk maybe I could have easily surpassed them all, had Aizawa not been looking at me all the time....)" She got mad with every second but her thoughts were interrupted by Aizawa
"Oh... and I was lying about the expulsion, it was just to make you guys push your quirks to their limit"
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?!!!" screamed most of the students surprised about it since everybody was scared about the results, specially Midoriya since according to the results he got the last place
"Of course it was a lie," Yaoyorozu exclaimed confused about how the other students were reacting
"So I showed my quirk... for nothing..." said Hakkotsu in the back but her comment was not heard by them due to all the students talking at the same time
"Either way, it was a great challenge," said Kirishima "I am willing to make another one any time"
"I think it was a really fun way to meet everybody," said Niji while smiling
"(Humph... Still..)" Aoi let out a sigh
"I should definitely train more, I got a really low score, but hey you got 4th place, isn't that amazing? even with that injured body of yours" said Aikou while looking at Aoi
"It wasn't first place, I need to work harder" Aoi replied "(I don't know why I feel so frustrated about being fourth when this place won't really last...)"
"hehe I know you will darling~ now calm down since you seem to be tensing up" Aikou said while patting Aoi on the shoulder
"You were right... I should start relaxing a little so that I can give my all... Thanks, Aikou" Aoi replied
"fufu- No problem," she said with a bright smile
"Now that we are done, go find some papers that have the study plan for you, and Midoriya please go to the nursery and get yourself healed," said Aizawa while giving a paper to Midoriya "Kuro... you also require healing. From now on, the trials will be harsher and I don't want to hear you complain about your wounds or blame them for your performance"
Aoi looked at Aizawa and gave him a fake smile while moving her head sideways "I am fine, the doctors said I don't need extra healing since I can heal on my own, I should be free from bandages in a month or so"
"Recovery Girl can just finish healing those wounds, I don't want you causing problems so go with Midoriya, and I want you to visit her daily until you are fully healed" Said Aizawa before leaving
"Yes sir..." she answered with an annoyed and serious tone getting rid of her fake smile
"Guess I will see you after school, will you work today?" asked Aikou
"Yeah, I need to help my grandma with the jewelry shop, you can tag along if you want, I always like some company," she said with a small gentle smile
"of course, see you at the entrance then," said Aikou before leaving
Aoi simply started walking towards the infirmary with a serious expression without noticing that Midoriya was running behind her so that they could walk together.
"Hey wait up!" said Midoriya while he finally caught up to her and started walking next to her, "I-I think we haven't properly introduced ourselves, I am Midoriya Izuku," he said a little nervous
"Last place guy right?... I am Kuro Aoi but feel free just to call me Aoi, I don't like formalities like calling each other by last names" she replied in an uninterested tone
"Ok... do you mind if I ask why are you all covered in bandages? I don't recall you hurting yourself on the trails" asked Midoriya pointing to some of the bandages in her arm trying to make conversation
"these? I got in a ... pretty bad accident, nothing important, I've had them for almost a month or longer now so they should finish healing soon" she said while looking at the bandages in her arms "What about your finger? how come it is all swollen from just using your quirk on the tip?"
"A-about that haha I-I still don't know how to control my quirk?" Midoriya replied nervously
"EEEH?" exclaimed Aoi while stopping and getting close to him "How come you don't know how to control your quirk? after so many years you should already know how to control it, don't you?"
Midoriya got a little flustered since she got really close to him "I-I ... years? "
"Of course! didn't you develop your quirk as a kid? how come you are barely controlling it? how does your quirk work? Could you tell me more about it? Or maybe just a small explanation is fine" Aoi started asking over and over again, her eyes getting bigger and bigger because of curiosity, causing the light to highly reflect in her pupils making her have a puppy look
Midoriya placed his hands in front of him and backed up a little with a big blush "I-I don't know how to explain, I don't really understand my quirk"
"Are you for real? Nothing? How boring... " she said while her eyes went back to her standard shape and continued walking
"I am... sorry?" exclaimed Midoriya while looking at how her expression changed so fast and went back to walking "I really... don't know how to explain"
"I have a fascination with studying other people's quirks, that way I can adjust myself so that I can learn new fighting strategies, so the fact that you don't know how yours work is really boring..." she glanced at Midoriya who looked a little upset for some reason so she just felt a little uncomfortable "Either way I apologize about that, its just that I find your quirk kind of peculiar, strength type quirks have a different type of development after all and based on observation it seems you are the charge type of one, so if you ever learn how to use your quirk let me know"
Midoriya looked at her surprised and then smiled at her "Of course! then... since we can't really talk about my quirk, why don't you tell me about yours?" he asked excitedly while taking a notebook out of... nobody knows...
"My quirk? It is just metal kinesis, I send vibrations from my body to look for metal and once those vibrations reach it, I can control it" she said while she started to get a little happy because she noticed how Midoriya was writing about her quirk on his notebook so she felt important, or at least she felt noticed "My fingers also work as metal detectors so I can find metals that are hidden underground, and I am able to visualize the object once those vibrations reach the object to help determine its shape" her eyes went back to being as big and round as Midoriya's
Both talked for some minutes about how Aoi's quirk worked, which actually made Midoriya explain some details about his quirk, so they both started getting a little friendly. Still, at one moment, Aoi just stopped and apologized for talking about herself too much and slowly started to go back to an uninterested personality. However, she still enjoyed making new friends, but she strongly resisted. It seemed that she opened herself to others or vice versa, she would strongly cut it off.
It was so sudden that even Midoriya found it strange that she stopped talking and so he also stopped, and both went directly to an uncomfortable silence.
"either way, I really wasn't looking forward to going to the nurse today," she said trying to break the silence while almost getting to the nurse
Midoriya wanted to become friends with her but he didn't know what to say to try and keep the conversation going "Hey, what about..."
"oh we arrived," said Aoi "let's just get this over with" she said cutting him off, Midoriya looked at her face and noticed some type of guilt in her expression
"oh... s-sure" commented Midoriya a little sad cause he couldn't keep talking to try and make a new friend, but he was actually happy that they were able to have a nice conversation at least and got to know some of his new classmates
They both got healed and Aoi was examined by Recovery girl and changed most of her bandages since they got dirty from the trials today. Midoriya just stayed there to keep her company but once everything ended they didn't talk about anything until getting outside and parted ways, Midoriya going with Iida, and Aoi going with Aikou.
All the classmates went back to their homes to conclude their day. It was a great first day for the students and it was a good beginning in their path towards becoming great heroes.
